I just got a camp Nelson - e single barrel store pick that was bottled on my birthday. Looking forward to trying it! It’s just a couple months shy of 11 years aging
That’s a solid age. I haven’t seen any above 8 years for a while now. Probably has to do with all of their new releases.

I can see that. I’ve had better store picks than this one but I wanted to used the oldest I have to try balance out the field. However, the first release of the Russel’s reserve was quite special.
I did the same blind (different store pick) and picked the same order. Everyone else was opposite. It is a great blind; thanks for posting!
Glass 3/square looks the darkest to me atleast on screen. I'd assume the eldest would've been there atleast for my money.

Appreciate the content. Pairing these 3 being so close in age and proof was a true blind. I have only had Russels 10yr. Good value but I haven’t kept going back to it. I thought about trying the 13 but I think I will spend elsewhere. Thanks
I was thinking about adding the ten year but the lack of abv would have made it stand out too easy. Glad you enjoyed as did I.
Put the whiskeys your tasting on the screen.
If each of us were blinding the same whiskeys with you, it’s better not to know which one you’re talking about. But since we’re not, it would be much better to put the whiskey you’re tasting on the screen so we can assign your notes to that whiskey. My two. Cents

Great blind Patrick. I've never seen the RR Rickhouse in the wild but I'll be on the lookout for it now. The RR13 is one of my top 5 favorite pours to date so I can only imagine how good the Rickhouse is. By the way, I just received my Whiskey Cove Glencairn and it's a great looking glass. It was a very expensive limited run. RR13 is a great bottle if you can get it.

I would say it's not worth the money because at that price point what really is. It a phenomenal whiskey. I generally don't pay that much for whiskey unless it's a first time one and done. Kinda of like a willet purple top.
i noticed in this video you never see you tasting the actual bourbon..the actual drinking of the bourbon is edited out..very weird..never seen this before..your editing definately should show you actually sipping it..
