    Can you do a video on how to install a royal 650 compressor unit like this video you did for the Dixie Narco 501 E

    • @VendingMachineSupport
      @VendingMachineSupport  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Cori Walker Thank you Cori for the suggestion. I have added it to my list. Though the removal of the Royal 650 compressor is generally the same as a Dixie Narco 501E. The refrigerant lines in a Royal 650 drink machine are on the opposite side of the Dixie Narco 501E. Other than that. The tools needed and the process is the same.

      @@ericroberson4127 The temp you are looking for is between 36F and 40F. There is a small drain hole just below the evap coil. On the underside, there is a hose the directs the water to the drain pan. Check to make sure the water is draining to the pan. There could be a clog in the hose backing the water up. Look for any excessive amount of condensation around the inner door seal and along the edge of the cabinet. Also have a look at the motor cover to ensure is attached correctly.

      @@VendingMachineSupport ok so i think i solved my leaking water issue. I did what you said and checked the drain hose, i took it off cleaned out and stuck small screw driver up hole and water began to drain. I bought $10 digital thermometer from Walmart and sat in machine for about 2 days and temp was at 44F, is that an issue? Also thank you again for all the help and guidance

      @@ericroberson4127 Your machine in my opinion is a bit warm. The temp in a drink vending machine should be between 36 and 40 degrees. Diet soda freezes and 34. So 36 is a safe low temp for drinks. Go ahead and adjust your thermostat two notches or 1/8 of turn clockwise and check on the machine the following day.

    Hey! This video has been extremely informative. I am thinking about spending about $500 to purchase a new cooling deck. I have ice building up at a very quick rate. I did your test from another video where I left the condenser running with the door open for 15 minutes and only about half of the evaporator coil was icing up. This seems to indicate that the condenser is no longer any good. I called a repair place that quoted me for $500 to $750 for repair, but I think replacing it myself is going to be better. What do you think?

      Are you using a MDB coin mech or a 12 pin 110V Dumb Mech? If using an MDB coin mech, does the fuse blow when just having the dollar bill acceptor connected?

    I have a new to vending and I have a Dixie Narco 276E and I am finding water siting in front of the compressor. Can you assist? One machine may not be leveled, checked. The other is a clogged drain not sure how to fix. Thank you in advance. Great Video!

    • @VendingMachineSupport
      @VendingMachineSupport  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The drain tube can be found at the bottom of the machine to the left of the compressor deck. It is either a clear or black tube. It can easily be pulled off and cleaned out. If water is pooling a the front of the compressor deck. Check the area where I removed the plumbers putty. There may be gaps allowing air and water through. Often if the drain tube is clogged. Water will fill up in the cold box and leak out in this area. Also make sure the metal motor cover is placed securely on. Large amounts of water collecting in the cold box and around the evaporator coil usually indicates a problem such as the cooling deck is not functioning correctly or air leaking into the cabinet. Thank you for watching.

      @@VendingMachineSupport Thank You So Much! Wish I could send you a pic of it, I will review and see what I can do on my home. The machine is running and cooling fine for now. Would the manual help with instructions and visuals?

    • @VendingMachineSupport
      @VendingMachineSupport  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Nothingsofar123 Have a look around the black rubber seal on the inner door. The second door of the machine. Look for any excessive amounts of water droplets. Also check around the outer edge of the cabinet where the inner door closes. Any large amount collection of water droplets is an indication of where air is getting into the machine. Also place a thermometer inside the machine to get a temperature reading. Ideally, you are looking to have the temperature inside the machine be between 36F to 40F. Diet Soda freezes and 34F. So 36F is a safe maximum cold temp.

    I have a 501e that isn't cooling - compressor is running. I have some experience with AC&R but see no charging port. I know about line piercing valves but not sure low charge is issue and don't want to pierce the line except as last resort. It does have an external Supco 3-N-1 starter capacitor that I just ordered from Amazon. There is no frost line on the evap with compressor running and door open. Please advise

    • @VendingMachineSupport
      @VendingMachineSupport  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The refrigerator decks in most vending machines do not have any type of service port. I assume this is done for manufacture warranty reasons. You will either need to sweat a schrader valve to the end of the fill line or install a piercing valve. If you are not getting any frost on the evaporator coil when running the compressor direct to power with the door open and the machine unplugged from the wall with in a 15 minute window. It very well could be low on charge. Please keep in mind that I am not a 'certified' refrigeration mechanic. Though from my experience what you are describing is a low charge or blocked cap tube issue.
