- After running a couple of rolls through my new Leica M6 I have learned that even the most expensive film cameras can disappoint you. Now my experience with the Leica M6 has not been all bad, but this video will show that even the most formidable cameras can become crippled by the weather. I hope you enjoy this video and learn a bit about the Leica M6 along the way in this disappointing day of film photography that I had.

So sick you got an M6! I had the same shutter capping issue on my Canon P. I just got it CLA’d so hopefully that’s not an issue anymore

Finally a video on your M6 man! Had that same shutter issue with an olympus trip 35 and it was an easy fix, bit it ruined a few rolls that day 🥲

If you know the basics of a light meter, you would have been aware that a lot of snow will be rendered as grey.

Let me guess: bought from someone privately? Unfortunately, if you buy a camera with that age from a private seller, you should figure in the costs for a CLA and probably send it in right away. If people sell these, usually, they've been sitting somewhere in a drawer for years. Not good at all for a mechanical camera.
It was through eBay! Interesting enough it has been firing properly on 1/1000th of a second in normal to warmer temps so it looks like it was just the cold that was hindering it. Still will get it CLA’s tho!
