Hey Frank, I found this free one modeled off of Big Five.. What do you think? It also has the other tests ex. DISC, Mbti, etc. but i haven't checked those out yet. Anyway this one went into the breakdown of percentages within the 5 categories also. Curious on your opinion if your interested in checking it out:

Hello Frank, I enjoyed your ways on video and want to defend you, claiming that that big-5 test is not covering the truth at all. The human being is much bigger than that, only psychology ends with...psychology, the soul, but doesn't cover the spirit.
Now, I don't know the test you paid to do, but I did Jordan Peterson's Self-authoring Suite, enthusiastically expectant after all positive I head and read about it. Without his engaged presence, its text was not really speaking to my soul, and I got pretty stressed and sour at how that program was made, mainly that one could only write 2000 words, was then cut off,- without it saying at start , so that one could have made another disposition. He said one could write as much as one liked, which was not true. One also got no help to get in touch with one's inner self and life, and being isolated and sick, down, I didin't get in touch with my life, but wrote rather mechanically. So that great thing was not great for me, - just said as a parallel.
The big 5-test_ Please don't take it as 100% truth about you, because it is not! The free one I did 2 times, is kind of superficial, uses common language and simple sentences and examples that I didn't feel comfortable with. And the whole narrow way of answering yes and no in various degrees, wirthout the possibility of BOTH, - in different life-situations, moods, aspects of truth! Also, a very modest human might under-report, and there is room for very individual interpretations of their questions/implications. F example liking to go to parties may depend on what kind of aprties it is, how much isoaltion one has been oín, how much one feels like seeing people in a simpler way just at some time, and if one has had serious one -to-one talks, one may feel like a party even if it is not one's normal style.
As for agreeableness, there is such a big difference if it is a co-dependent, harmless, immature kid of human or an inwardly active, healing, present one, so the answers don't really tell that much.
If i may say something personal, i thought you seem a very nice man and got far too low scores , f ex extroversion: Unless you are very different in real life not on videos, I donä't think you should have that high score on introversion. Or am I wrong to think one is more inhibited then also?
As for conscientiousness, that also seems to be too low score for you, both your room, your appearance and your organized speech/soul doesn't seem to correspond very much to that, even if one brushes up a bit for the video, hahaha!
Neuroticism are you really that high? How would you be a woman trapped in a mans body, I don't think so.
I can't quite get whether you really take this test seriously and recommend it (I have Aspergers) or if you are being cynical about it really. because you don'ät seem to take your results hard, but seem very relaxed about them.
I think that test seems to be an insult to your real self. And it doesn't take into account that ppl can do it before or after nerve-healing. and all sorts of situations that will not convey the real personality.
I am highly agreeable really, but not so much because of extreme long-term stress, exhaustion, being life-threateningly abused, living in dangerous, uncertainty all the time and have got fearful-aggressive, stressed, sleep deprived, and cant be a s nice as I really am. It is a Q of energy and nerve strength.
Ill hear more vids by you, it was pleasant , your calm sense. Stay yourself.

Racheal Lange, I’m 44 and have everything you do and probably more! (It’s not a contest, but I am competitive 😁) I want to talk about ur ghost stuff. Like what you actually experienced. When I was a kid, I visited a wheat farm. On this farm, as with lots of farms, old homestead houses and barns were scattered around.i remember walking to this abandoned house probably 2 stones throw away from my family. It was a very small, 2 story house, old as shit, disrepair, last used probably 50 years ago. As I walked in, I felt this invisible wave go through me, made me feel a little nauseous. I had this distinct feeling I was being watched. There was no reason for this feeling, but it did not go away until I left the house. Have you experienced anything like that?

I took the test when you talked about it in last video. I never realized that my extremely high neuroticism is what keeps ruining my life (and self-confidence). Glad I took it. Peterson has some videos for "high neuroticism and high openness to experience" and implying his advice helps. Organizing and cleaning my house, having "external" affairs in order helps to feel better. He is basically saying that doing that helps us to tame neuroticism and lets us concentrate on creativity and the stuff we're good at which is normally suppressed by neuroticism.

In my opinion i guess a lot of INFJ will share a quite similar composition, very high level of neuroticism and openness. And unfortunately those are like opposing traits, we're helplessly curious about a lot of things and have a huge desire to explore new field but at the same time our neuroticism tends to hold ourself back because of the obsessive thoughts like "what if bad things happen," "what if i'm doing it wrong" "what will other people say", etc so we unconsciously contradict ourself in daily basis. That's probably how we start to feel overwhelmed :'). I previously found a video of Jordan Peterson explaining that having these two opposing traits in high level will likely make us stressed, so we have to maintain our conscientiousness in moderate level in order to balance that by building routinity and stick to that pattern. IMHO establishing a routine will help us feel grounded and may prevent our brain to perpetually fall into those never-ending contradiction ^^

Don't listen to Jordan Peterson. He's a fraud and a swindler, and a troll in a respectable suit. He uses psychology to piggyback politics, and if I'd have turned in one of his papers into my uni, it would have been instant F. It looks impressive, sounds impressive, but it's not the real deal.

@@johnknight9150 I am aware of his criticisms, best done by Nathan Robinson in his article "The Intellectual we Deserve" (heard about it in a Noam Chomsky podcast). Anyways the main point Nathan keeps repeating in that is that JP doesn't say anything much new or extremely profound (bear responsibility, speak truth etc, etc,) and the other things he claims to be more insightful is pretty flawed, but the simpler things that he advocates (bear responsibilities, speak truth, freedom of speech and equality in opportunity not in outcome), not many people were advocating them befor him which are crucially important topics ... Nathan blamed education institutions and some other things for it ... therefore JP is a "Intellectual we Deserve" ... There are some critisisms of this article too ...

@@dhruvgupta794 Well that stuff's all relatively subjective, I'd rather point to something objectively verifiable and not simply open to interpretation.
For an example, if you take his appearance on Dr Oz (already a bad combination!), found here:
      th-cam.com/video/i-Eb76X3upk/w-d-xo.html
....he shows the audience the Big Five system and what their personality type is based on the Big Five model.
This is absolutely not how the Big Five system works. People aren't "Extroverted Types" or "Openness Types". The Big Five system works by using a combination of five personality factors, based on Extroversion, Agreeableness, Openness, Conscientiousness, and Neuroticism. Each is a sliding scale, and a researcher receives measurements in all five scales.
Conclusions are then drawn by what your readings are in all the scales, and the scales all work together. For instance, people prone to a certain kind of mental illness might be high in one particular scale and low in another. Or people with a particular political preference might be high on two scales and low on two others, etc. etc.
This is First Year, First Term, First Semester, Psych 101 stuff that any psychology student knows. Jordan Peterson knows darn well that this is not how the Big Five model works, but he has come up with this supermarket magazine nonsense, presumably to get a nice appearance fee on national television, but that's speculation.

Don't be so hard on yourself with contentiousness and industriousness. Both tend to be strongly correlated in the big five with a willingness to comply with authourity or external expectations.
INFJ generally buck authority at even the subconscious level....they hate it...as for being industrial...INFJ generally hate being obliged or coerced into doing things for others...but can be very driven when we choose to do things ourselves. In other words in self-determination theory INFJ ranks autonomy and agency right up top (while others would place relationships or mastery higher in priority).
The big five tends to be very biased in this area and does not have enough nuance to differentiate between autonomy seeking and 'refusal' to 'work' i.e. it cannot tell you why you 'refuse to work'

Sup Frank, I hope you are well. I wanted to drop by to say I appreciate how well you are able to articulate the quirks and contradictions that crop up for us. It's uncanny. I can't tell if there are other INFJs thinking "Shit, my dishes piled up and then I moved city shortly after..." or if it's just me, but there seems to be something so relatable in other INFJs as if we are all struggling separately together. Not in a negative way. It feels like a blessing to recognize the depth. That's where I think the Big 5 misses the mark for us. It doesn't give us the meaning portion that INFJs crave. It just sets us against others quantitatively when we feel qualitatively different, or we feel like we notice that other people may be thinking way differently. We certainly feel, I think, that other people are not as aware of their own thoughts as we are of our own, and theirs too. I did the test on another site and received similarly higher scores in Openness and Neuroticism, but I don't find those descriptions comprehensive or a description of what's going on when I'm about info and it's coming in. Reading an INFJ profile, it feels extremely meaningful and my spidey senses start tinglging. I can't get through it without giggling in recognition of what's going on here. It could just be that I care more for concepts than math, and I'm missing the point and need to do more work. Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts if you get the time. Thanks for more videos; using them like mirrors to go deeper. Take care and sending positive thoughts and love.

Teresa Triumph I used to work with a guy, and his wife went to another country to visit relatives. He found out she was returning early.
He had used all the dishes and pots and pans and the old food was crusted on. So....he threw it all away and bought new stuff. Told me his wife was confused when she got back. He told her some nonsense about how he loved her so much he got new stuff. It was hilarious and tragic at the same time. I just think we should be honest with our spouse.

Recovering Soul yeah hilarious and painful are the measures that people take for themselves 😆
When I was a child, my mother assigned me to clean all the dishes and at the end of the task were the nasty pots and pans staring back at me, mocking. I didn't want any part of that action so I carried them out the back door and threw them into the bonfire. She noticed her only pots missing, found them, and busted my behind with her cedar paddle!
That's why FJ's comment hit my funny bone.

I got 98% on neuroticism and i think I got 99% for openness to experience. Cant quite remember my others but they were relatively balanced like i was mid range for the others ish. I like this test, it's very good and a great supplement to the MBTI when trying to work yourself out and how you relate to others. I also have a diagnosuis of BPD that was given to me using the DSM by a psychologist, and I have an INFP - T personality type, they all seem to be pointing at similar things in me, I think each are useful psychological tools for understanding and ordering an understanding of yourself but not as a solid definition. I like to think each of us has a unique soul that transcends our personality and temperament, like a wild card so to speak... Another awesome video dude.

This actually made me burst into laughter since I feel the very same way, and it just makes no sense. It's kind of like being inclined to the worst possible work ethic a human being can have, whilst sort of being aware of it and therefore trying to combat that behaviour by judging yourself as harshly as a person with 100% score in conscientiousness would do. Like WHY do that to yourself? Shit's weird fam.

Hey Frank! Great videos! Just a little "math geekin" here but Percentiles work differently then percentages they operate on a bell curve. 60th percentile means better then average for intellect and 25 th percentile isn't really bad for orderliness it means if you put you in a random group of 4 people you'd probably be the least orderly of 4 ... the really low and really high percentiles make you an extreme outlier. Though assuming they are accurate 4 th percentile conscientiousness and 97 percentile neuroticism would probably make it a safe bet that your I.Q is high given the state of your channel.

I was into the big 5 for a while, being into Jordan B Petersons lectures and so forth. Made alot of theories about how different MBTI types matched the scores of OCEAN (abbreviation for the 5 traits). Both the perceiving introverted types Si and Ni are somewhat even when it comes to Openness and Consciousness, the big difference is that the other value one of the traits more. There is this idea in socionics that the last trait, the 8th trait is unconsciously very strong. But I agree with that. INFJ tend to have very good memories, and are very able to sustain what they have learnt, which are both traits of strong Si.
    I would say that
Openness is more or less high in N and T (the dichotomy of N - S, and T - F)
Consciousness is high in Si (the dichotomy of Si - Ne)
Extroversion is high in Se or weirdly enough Ne (the dichotomy of Se - Ni and Ne - Si)
Agreeableness is high in F (the dichotomy of F - T)
Neuroticism is also high in N (the dichotomy of Ni - Se / Ne - Si)
    - Neuroticism is tricky though, I do believe that unhealthy Si dominant can be very neurotic and judgmental, something that really shows itself in poor mental health and lack of self reflection, even in paranoia.
This is a very simplistic model, but i do believe that most personality models describe more or less the same traits, and in doing so widely correlates with one other.

    • @nadjahansson7850
      @nadjahansson7850 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I would say that what the big 5 don't have, is this outdated idea that thinking and feeling are two dichotomies, that MBTI have. In that regard the MBTI is very old and in many ways misogynist. We cannot forget that MBTI is based on Carl Jung's Personality Types, and even though he was a revolutionary man with amazing ideas, he still was a man of the Victorian age, where women where considered not to posses the thinking capacities of the "rational" man. (Just a little history lesson.) This is very very important, because the thinking - feeling dichotomy is in my opinion a fallacy. Rationality (T) and Compassion (F) aren't two opposites, and both can be valued or devalued. In truth the opposite of thinking is well, not to think and use your brain? And the same goes from feeling... and be completely heartless...
To think that being a feeling type you have quote "strong values" but tend to be irrational, is a very strange way of think about your self.. And to think that being a thinking type you have no compassion but are very rational, is equally strange. It just dont add up, and should like OCEAN/Big 5 be separated.

I know that you made this video during one of the darker periods in your life where you were experiencing some depression and since the big 5 personality traits can fluctuate quite a bit throughout a person's life, it'd be interesting to see what they are like now that I can clearly tell you have a big more confidence and are doing better in your mental health. Maybe the results wouldn't be quite so, uh... disheartening. ;)

Since were reciting poetry on this channel I thought I’d recite what came to my mind, “Why, then, ‘tis none to you, for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” As your boy W.S. said, it’s akin to something in the Fall in the Garden, that is where the concepts of right and wrong came into existence. Hence, the results of your personality test are indicative to the psychologists who created them and in the context of society. What I’m trying to say is that a test can’t define you, only you, yourself can truly define who you really are in your heart. However, that’s subjective as well I suppose, because in that one video about a reunion or so, I did detect some Woody Allen-esque behavior, but it was that subtle humor that we’ve all come to know and love. Anyways, that’s enough ramble, I’m starting to think my cat might be kind of neurotic, but he loves to watch your videos. He also rates high on intellect, so I’ll let you discuss amongst yourselves what you think that could mean about him.😉

P.S. My cat also loves squirrel videos, so I’m not sure how much advice you want to take from him🐾🙂

Your reactions cracked me up. I took the Big 5 test recently out of curiosity. Apparently compared to everyone else, I'm a hermit vegetable who's slightly intellectual and mildly open. But at least nothing bothers me.

Big fan, your results are fairly similar to mine, made me feel better about myself if I'm a cool cat like you

This was actually hilarious. I was just sat there laughing and going lord please let him get SOME good points 😂 I could feel your soul leaving your body with each word you uttered. MBTI boosts your ego and Enneagram slaps you back to reality 👋 I love it lmao

Hi again, My name is Kathryn, a fellow INFJ and I am the commenter that inquired about an email address for you on the Feel like hot garbage video, I get it if you don’t feel like sharing it, but this video made me certain that I should go ahead and share with you what I was going to in email, I am a Mother of three, two adults one 10 year old, two of my children have “Mild” Aspergers Syndrome, not detectable by anyone unless they know a lot about it and know them very well. Anyone they reveal that information about themselves to are very surprised, So much of what you say about yourself and INFJ things that you really connect to, and the test results here you say you connect to, and a lot of what you describe struggling with and wondering about in a lot of your videos really, makes me feel even more that you, who are working so hard on self understanding, might benefit from exploring the possibility of being somewhere “ on the spectrum”, it could help you find answers to the whys ( why am I like this or that) and much more. Peace, love and light.

I laughed out loud when you said "Oh now to the stuff I'm good at... neuroticism." That's just too relatable :P

I wonder how I would score on one of these tests the last time I was confused because I had to abnormal extreme traits, that cancelled each other out causing the test to say that I was normal.
