    Can't understand this, but my BCF2000 is not visible in MS. But it works in other music software on the same android device, for example Mobile Sheets. Can't figure out how to fix that.
    By the way, other midi controllers are working fine with MS Arturia MiniLab MKII for example.
    But BCF2000 even not visible in MS midi ports.

    Hi Christopher, thank you so much for this video, Got it working with my XR18. Just one question: I would like to use the rotary's for the channel gain control (headamp). But when i do the control is the wrong direction (left is gain up) I have tried to reverse it but then it doesn't work any more. Do you have any suggestions? Thanx!

    Hi, I'm waiting for any anser = My firmware is 1.10...what is the "Mackie Mode" ??? and why do we have that to make a choice of using it ?? If i wanted to use a Mackie--i would have spent a lot of Xtra bucks & gotten 1. I'm gonna try again...TODAY...

    Hi, I'm learning from step 1. 7 yrs ago, I used mine (Rotary BCR2000) MiDi'd to my Yamaha PSR S910--it was amazing how it controlled my volumes, which is what I wanted. Then I became ill and forgot everything i had learned. i haven't tried to use it until last month & I'v been frustrated. So I'm here on UT to try to learn anything I can--I can not program this units sliders to control the Volume on my Yamaha. I'd like to connect my keyboard to the Rotary BCR then MiDi the BCR using the Midi Thru Out to my other sound modules. Is this a dream or possible ??? THANK YOU in advance.
    YES it worked w my Yamaha workstation like a champ. I was thrilled because I didn't have to spend $3,000 on a Tyros 3 just because it came w/ 8 vertical real time sliders.

    Great video. What happens when you disconnect/reconnect the usb cable? This would be super helpful when mixing from stage but I wouldn't want to be tethered to the control surface all the time. Or is there a wireless midi/usb solution too?

      Due to an Android bug, the dialog asking for app permission to use the USB device, even if you tick the 'always allow' tickbox, so it's a bit of a pain. I use two tablets, which is still not perfect, but good enough.

    • @treymitchell5014
      @treymitchell5014 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can certainly see how that would be annoying, but it sounds workable. What I was more concerned about is that if when reconnecting the cable, the app reset itself to reflect the settings on the mixer surface rather than the other way round.

    its really a very helpful video thanks a lot. ive mapped all my fader , mute ,solo and pan controls. it would be nice if you could make a video on how to map the parametric eq.

    I finished the mapping for my korg nanokontrol 2 and I have a doubt:
    Is there a way for making MSP still being controlled while running background?
    I play live with a backing track app and 'd like to tweek the volumes in MSP without have to skip the apps screens

      I don't think MixingStation always stays connected while in the background - quite often when I switch away from it and switch back, it has disconnected. (On a Tab S2)

    I'm now the proud owner of a BCF2000 but can't get it to connect to Mixing Station. I'm starting the mixer in Mackie mode. I'm pretty sure my device supports USB OTG (I can access files on a flash drive through the USB port). Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Will any old USB cable work (when plugged into the OTG adapter of course) or do I need something special?

    • @chrisreed212
      @chrisreed212  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much any cable should work. Have you tried using it on a laptop with the Behringer app? Have you enabled USB Midi in Mixing station?

    • @treymitchell5014
      @treymitchell5014 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christopher Reed yes to enabling midi in Mixing Station. No to trying it with x air edit. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks.

    • @treymitchell5014
      @treymitchell5014 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm... XAir Edit doesn't support midi control (forum.musictri.be/showthread.php?19502-BCF2000-with-XR16) is that what you meant by trying it with the Behringer app on a laptop? I used Midi-Ox (www.midiox.com/) and verified that the BCF is sending midi note data. It's just not being received by the tablet or mixing station for some reason. Reading through the other comments I noticed Mark Lin reported having success with Android 6, but not 7. All my devices are Android 7. Can you confirm what version of Android you're running?

      FWIW I bought a $50 Android tablet with Android 6.0 and it connects just fine. Must be a bug in Android 7.0

    Can you share which tablet you've gotten? I'm running the same hardwares except tablet I think, and I couldn't get Mixing Station Pro to see any midi message at all. Do you reset your BCF2000 or modify its mapping?

    • @chrisreed212
      @chrisreed212  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Lin You need to switch it into Mackie control mode as I show at the beginning of the video. Do you get the dialog from Mixing Station when you switch on the BCF? If you don't, it may be your tablet doesn't support USB OTG - not all do, though I think most do these days..

    • @kuma303
      @kuma303 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christopher, thanks for the answer. I did set it to Mackie control, I tried all four control mode, none of them register any message on the android. All other being the same, that's why I want to find out what version Android and model of Samsung do you run in the video. Thanks!

    • @chrisreed212
      @chrisreed212  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Lin this was a Samsung Tab S2. I have another tablet which was cheap off Amazon - Iropro

    • @kuma303
      @kuma303 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Christopher Reed after I used a older tablet with Android 6, I immediately started to see midi messages no matter what mode of bcf2000 is in. Can you check you tablets what version of Android they have? Both of my failed tablet and phone run nougat(Android 7), working one runs Android 6.

      Mark, did you ever get yours to work? I'm having the same issue with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I get the Mixing Station dialog when I plug it in. But when trying to add a controller, I don't get anything when I tap "learn" and then move stuff on the mixer.

    • @ibendiben
      @ibendiben 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@chrisreed212 Just to confirm: LED rings + display working just fine in BC mode (1st button). It's important though, that for the BC2000 Encoder knobs to work well, instead of creating Rotary controllers in Mixing Station midi settings... Create Fader controllers!! That did the trick for me! 👌😎

      @@chrisreed212 Mute and Solo buttons need to be set to Momentary, instead of Toggle for the same functionality as in your setup. It seems that Output mode doesn't seem to make a difference.

    • @ibendiben
      @ibendiben 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also in midi mode the pre-configured buttons (preset, edit, learn, store etc) can't be mapped. Although you might be able to reprogram the firmware. The buttons in the top right square can be made mappable, I forgot how.

      Karam Antonio In the video it's my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. There's also a cheap 'Iropro' brand tablet (Chinese clone, about 70ukp off amazon) which works very well (see my other video) screen doesn't look as good, but fast enough for this job and has the advantage of a power port as well as the micro usb so can leave plugged in. I often use both so that I can grab one and mix Fold backs, while leaving the faders attached.
