Perfect! I just snagged one to pair with my Atem! Thanks for the video
Great to hear. :-)
Awesome. Merry Christmas 2021 to everyone. Cheers from the top of the mountain.
Happy Xmas.
Thanks. How do you hook up the headphone amp please?
Both the ATEM 1M/E Production Studio 4K and the Hyperdeck unit have XLR audio outputs. I just plug the headphone amp directly into one of those to monitor.
Ah-ha. I thought you were plugging into the Atem Mini. 👍
Keep it up :)
I will try my best
Great video, clear explanation and valuable setup resource. I’ve just bought one from CEX in Uk for my ATEM TV Studio 4K for £90. Waiting for it to arrive now.Not sure if we will use it though, as I think it is still better to use a real mixer and go into camera from that, with mixed audio back to ATEM. But it’s there, just in case and if we want to use AFV. Do you find the noise from motorised faders an issue?
The faders are quite noisy, That’s not usually a problem for me as I’m often working in a gallery but certainly something to be aware of. I agree about a mixer, I’m actually looking at X32 Compact with Dante to connect to my vMix machine. For the ATEM actually having a control surface can be quite useful if you’re trying to do a lot of stuff single-handed.

Do you know its dependent on the ATEM Control Software being the active window for it to stay in sync or can other applications be used while making changes audio on the unit?
I’ll have to check that next time I have it setup, that won’t be for a few weeks though as I am on another project at the mo. I use a very low spec Windows laptop to run the ATEM software so I don’t use it for anything else and the ATEM software is the only thing open.
Great video! Would this also work with the Behringer X-touch?
Thanks, I haven’t got access to an X-Keys to test that I’m afraid, another user may be able to add some input on that.
Is the Xtouch motorized? I don’t think so
@@tedz2000 I haven’t used one to be sure but I don’t think so.
Yes the X-touch has motorized faders. I have it and would love to see it work like this one in the video. I am sure it must be possible but one has to know something about protocols etc and I don't :)
