And yet, it couldnt be so without the whole album and you 3 in the cockpit.

It's great he mentioned Mike Ladd. You should talk to him about infesticons/majesticons. I just found you guys, maybe you have already

You ran through the entrance brave, without checking if there was an exit to this parametric maze

One of my all time favorite albums along with you, and Ferreira. So insane to see coverage on my favorite Rappers by my favorite Rappers--so grateful for that.
Just throwing it out into the aether, but no one ever talks about Psyche O and how The Standard probably defined the vibes of many folks raised in the mid 00s adult swim curation of aesthetics. Always thought those guys were so creative and underrated, which was confusing to me.
But thanks so much for this; I love learning abt this record; so much meaning in there.
~ Peace and be well Artisan ~

The Cold Vein is a classic album. Salute Open Mike Eagle and El-P

I commented on the first episode, I feel that Cold Vein is El-P's masterpiece. I probably love FanDam and ISWYD more... but the music, the beats on Cold Vein are incredible for pretty much doing the whole thing with one sampler and a couple synths.

El P talks about music with a love, passion and reverence that I have rarely heard outside of the likes of Kurt Cobain, Prince, KRS-One, Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. He knows what it can mean, how it can heal and teach. These episodes are fascinating and inspirational.

it's a tragedy that "intense production work" is not more highly regarded in hiphop as a whole. Those albums: Cold Vein, Fantastic Damage, I Phantom should be mentioned among the other known rap classics.
