The Man in the Wall….I have over 1500 hrs in this game and I am still insanely intrigued by him. I won’t spoil anything but this is only the beginning and still, to this day, he is shrouded in mystery. He is cunning and effortlessly moves in the shadows of the Void…watching…waiting…Can not wait for the future of this game solely on his story 💜
After Finishing New War I am SO Hyped for Duviri and all the rest, I feel like Warframe is a game that never gives you all the answers but makes you fall in love with it regardless.
Me the first time the man in the wall appeared in my orbiter: WTF....WTF WAS THAT ?!?! -- Man in the wall after 200hrs in: -Hey kiddo Me: MAAAAAAA MEEEEEEEEN, WADUPPPP, check this new build i just did.
Just started this quest at night time. It was extra terrifying because with my headphones on the "Rap Tap" would go from one ear to the other like someone was 'floating' around you whispering in each ear. 😨
The devs made magnificent use of stereo sound for that one, yes. But the bit at the beginning where Lotus says she doesn't like the situation, I only had one thought: "Gee, thanks ma! It's not like I was ALREADY freaking out!" It's an amazing quest.
Wanted to give you a tip or two after watching your other twitch vod: be sure to actually equip your new crew member so you can do solo railjack stuff a bit easier. Next you will wanna grab a crew member who has some gunnery and repair so you can swap them between having a second engineer or make be on your side turrets to shoot down incoming ships. It would then be a good idea to give them a point into piloting, as then you can solo the grineer ralijack missions to have your pilot destroy radiators on the outside while you do stuff on the inside.
Yea, realised after I ended stream that I hadn't even equipped the crew member I got 😅 got a bit of farming to do and then I can pick up some more unfortunate souls to slave away on my rail jack haha
I haven't watched his Twitch stuff, but Lavos is a great frame for Railjack because he doesn't use energy, only cooldowns so he can use the abilities indefinitely 😁.
I remember seeing the man in the wall at the final part of the new war quest and forgot the man inside the walls was mentioned in the chains of horrow. Crazy how much harrow is tied to the main story than most other quests.
When I got to the Whispers In The Walls, I took Harrow in. Made that fight feel so cool using him. As good as doing The New War with Umbra. Now, I really want to do a quest where I get to rescue Rell. With Teshin from Duviri.
Ah finally we get to the Man in the wall part I just call him Wally to make it easier to remember Wally is inside your wall forever Can't wait for the next one
Ah, I know the one your are referring too, unfortunately the UI glitched and covered him up so I didn't see him 😅 but he has been spotted lurking around my orbiter since 😵
@@ScorchHDTV that was the best part of the quest ;-; i didnt notice it at first took me looking at another youtuber's video about it and then replayed the quest again only to scare myself-
My friend did this entire quest with sound off despite my attempts to get him to use sound. (This is not him trying to avoid scares he just doesn't use sound on games.)
even if i don't play Harrow a lot anymore, he was my main for a long time and he's still my favorite. the quest was so cool, finally real ambiance changes, dark and gloomy.. it was well written.
Most notable moment in this quest for me was the section where you play as the autistic Rell choosing expressions on faces, and me, being autistic, unironically failing several stages of it.
just finished this one yesterday, the starting missions were legit scary. i shouldhvae done them with Ember, i used Rhino. never have i felt scared in the game and im amazed they managed to scare me.
As a player of over 3000 hrs who played dark sector on ps3 before getting into warframe back in my last years of middle school, all through highschool and well into my 20's now, i can say without a doubt that this was one of the scariest quests in the game, was listening to my clan member play it on teamspeak the whole time 😂
😭 bro the rap tap tap had chills goin through my body and I have like surround sound speakers so the immersion was insane god I love Warframe but HOLYY-
Love the pumpkin monkey design. Personally a hater of the wings but that's my only gripe on your fashion frame. Loved the monkey nope out after you grabbed the relic. Was very well timed lol
The "horror" could have worked, if we were not playing as a sexy latex fashion space ninja genocide booty assasin from outer space. Why would I be afraid of some ghosts?
I really recomend not to use a frame with death defying passive or actives, if you dont want to nuke the inmersión from orbit, like wukong, or sevagoth.
I'll be honest: 1) I'm still kinda bummed that our Tenno literally had nothing to say the entire quest since War Within is required to access the quest. 2) Valkyr Prime mitigated a chunk of the scariness when Rell/Man in the Wall attacks directly... But Hysteria wears off and when it does, if there's an enemy too close when it does you take all the blocked damage at once if I'm remembering correctly. So I *still* eventually had to run.
I noticed seeing another playthrough of it, I wonder if DE even knows, or if quests use mission objective spawnpoints and they haven't tested or rigged all the new emmissives to be switched off
9:04 Red Veil: "Guide this Tenno so you can return to the Harrowing vessel… so that you might rest." 9:31 Rell: "I don't want to go back!" 10:14 Red Veil: "Don't let it stop you. Bring Rell home to the temple." Rell: I don't wanna go back! Red Veil: I don't give a shit, we're bringing you back anyway 😂.
I love this quest for me it's second to duviri paradox ( that ending is absurdly satisfactory) also that set on that staff is pretty damn cool, care to share?
Probably doesn't even need that padding anymore, since the next quest in that arc is out now. Just whittle down the important dialogues so they can all play (they will probably forget this part)
I'm personally not convinced Margulis cast Rell out - it seems more like part of the Red Veil mythos to cast themselves as pariahs separate from the Tenno. From everything weve seen and heard of Margulis, she doesnt seem like one to just kick Rell out at the drop of a hat. Also tellingly, Rell has a warframe, which indicates that he probably underwent Margulis' transference therapy, so he might have been somehow abducted after that, or the Red Veil foremothers were also at the Zariman and stole away with him before, and then copied Margulis' experiments.
We don't know that Rell was ever trained in transference. The Warframes were made before the Tenno existed. We don't know how Warframes were chosen for Tenno, or how many Warframes exist, so it's likely that he or the Red Veil somehow got ahold of one. Or, even if Rell wasn't accepted by Margulis and the other children, he could have still been used by Ballas.
@@ScorchHDTV u probaly missed it but ocasionly you may now gind another yenno in your ship. He garunteed spawns after this quest and after i believe its random though red text in loading screens might herald their return
lotus: the man in the wall isn't real, he can't hurt you
the man in the wall in 'whispers in the wall' quest:
It still bring chills whenever I hear the "Rap.Tap.Tap" chant.

And fun fact the community decided “the man in the wall” is too long of a name so they just started calling him Wally

Now the "Great indifference" mentioned in the last TennoLive makes sense, from the whispers in the wall update.
New players are never gonna believe how much time passed between _Chains of Harrow_ and _Whispers in the Wall,_ it's probably seamless

odd 😅 to each there own I suppose, but one thing for sure is the sound track slaps hard!

agreed, so glad I took the time to enjoy it properly. I try and always take note of good set-piece's especially 😊
I love playing harrow in more high-level missions because of masochism giving me power
Chains of Harrow is one of my favourite quests in the game. Replayed it again last week.
yknow what would make this quest scarier? disabling abilities and restricting us to only sprinting at the "you can only run" part
Those would also make conclave better
😭 oh don't do it

The real horror is that wukong fashion 😂

yea ended up removing the wings for the Sacrifice 😅
please continue playing Warframe ! i really love your videos on the game ! also like the way you edit it and the carisma you carry through out .
thanks so much for the feedback ☺️
Ok can somebody please tell me what "charisma" is
Hi just did some of the quest, I was using wukong and my twin scared me. :)
"Rap. Tap. Tap."
Kinda funny when I'm stuck in a loop of reviving my medjay ,and healing myself as Rell is just watching and attacking
Use the MIGHTY SEER. It'll keep you safe
Love the video, glad it's out near spooky season! :D
That mod jumpscare never gets old.
haya nazo didnt know you knew a youtuber too
Was wondering what you meant when I read your comment. Now I know 😂.
ahhhhhhh i remember now the quest where he first hear about walley (man in the wall)
Ah the good ol dayz when i had my tonkor in that mission (anyway is started blasting)
The "horror" could have worked, if we were not playing as a sexy latex fashion space ninja genocide booty assasin from outer space. Why would I be afraid of some ghosts?
I was playing as a rinky-dink twink Limbo and was appropriately scared.
It's the weirdest thing, I'm a *massive* wimp for *playing* horror stuff but playing Chains of Harrow I was just like... fine.
And what’s more funny is I have him prime and he’s basically Jesus on a robot suit
I really recomend not to use a frame with death defying passive or actives, if you dont want to nuke the inmersión from orbit, like wukong, or sevagoth.

Gosh damn they be some snazzy lookin wings
they ruined chains of harrow man, they got rid of the jumpscares by changing the corpus tile sets

The only thing I didn’t like about the quest is that you had to do the trapping rell missions 3 times in a row which got very boring.
Probably doesn't even need that padding anymore, since the next quest in that arc is out now. Just whittle down the important dialogues so they can all play (they will probably forget this part)

Nice call, especially considering Veil IS super "needs a constant supply of edgy orphan recruits to stay afloat"
