I like how he doesn't add music, makes me feel the ambiance there and feels like I'm actually there
I hate the ones that have music etc, I prefer this type of ambiance street noises. Sometimes for me it’s not always watching video that counts it’s those noises too.

I also love how he has captions explaining that the items are. I unsubscribed from a couple other food channels because they could never bother to explain what they were showing. Their philosophy seemed to be, "If you don't know what this dish is, then oh well, too bad." This channel educates people as well as showing the food, and that makes it one of the best.🍲🍡🍦
The price tag is important too. If planning to go to countries never been to knowing what's good to eat/try out AND the cost is useful

I was thrilled to find this after binging on Malaysia street Food videos. I've noticed that our lovely lady has a "tell" when she doesn't care for something. She still smiles, but her eyes don't widen and she doesn't nod. The smile is still there though.

I love this channel. I've never ever eaten any Asian type foods. What I see here makes me want to try them all. I enjoy watching things being made and served. I love it's natural background noises,no music to make me cut volume off! And the taster lady is just too adorable when she smiles! Makes me smile too even if I'm having a bad day! Thank you! Things that I noticed is she is smilling and nodding her head when the food is good^^ Or just simple smile when (I think) the food is just so-so.. And she has another expression if she doesn't like certain food (you can check in one of their video when she tried some fish head dish, and she didn't like it.. But I don't remember in which video).. ^^

Quite true. Went there last February from Osaka. As if the train ride to Inari wasn’t expensive enough (costed me ~1100 JPY one-way from Shin-Imamiya Sta. - Inari Sta.), I got the hurricane potato there for like 200-300 yen (cheap if you ask me) but the prices at the other food stalls seemed really pricey to me.

It's a festival market. All the vendors have to pay for a slot and they are marking the prices up by a big margin because location.
Think of it like a carnival or fairground where you pay $5 for a candyfloss or a hotdog!

Look at the boxes of ingredients in the background. They are pumping out $5 portions all day and that is their business. They will go from one festival to another doing the same thing.
Many of these slots are managed by Yaks in one way or another. Think of the over cost going to fund crime and you will not be far from the truth.

Having been to Japan, I can verify that those red bean pancakes are very good. However, if you don't like the consistency of red bean paste (it's a bit of an acquired taste, to be fair) I'd recommend other snacks. The custard one seems like a logical, decent choice for those who don't like red bean paste.
What is the consistency and taste of red bean paste?
@@Iymarra It's sweet, but a bit chalky at the same time, in my experience. Also, if you're anywhere near Los Angeles, CA, (specifically near Little Toyko) there is actually a small bakery that makes red bean pancakes fresh, in very much a similar method it's made in the video, if not the same. I believe they also make takoyaki and a few other classic Japanese snacks.
@@Iymarra it tastes pretty sweet but not too sweet like usual fillings, and it terms of flavor it's like a thick hummus with little chunks of sweet red beans.
@@Iymarra think the texture of the inside of a baked bean but absolutely none of the taste of one, the taste is a very sweet, and slightly starchy. Some have little chunks of bean and some are a completely smooth like the one shown in the video. But remember, tastes nothing like what you would think of when you think of beans.

@@its_saber1525 Tonkotsu ramen is amazing. Miso ramen is good too. Funnily enough, my favorite part of any ramen dish is the soft-boiled egg, which ordinarily I usually dislike when prepared by itself. The only reason why I like it in ramen is because it soaks up the broth and takes on its flavor.
