IM 32 now.......listened this in my childhood.......THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I LOVE TH-cam ! We can found stuff that we probably would never listen again without internet
We had just been picked up by Digby’s label and they invited Us (A.C.) to open up the GrindCrusher Tour after releasing our’92 Morbid Florist Lp and they had joined in on a few of the gigs alongside the rest of those bands ( and there were quite a lot more than the usual Napalm Death; Carcass’s on the Bill), but We hung out drinking with these guys backstage and they were some of the nicest people in our filthy business known as the music industry. Voi Vod was overseas for their The Outer Limits Tour which my oldest act was opening up for on our own Destined For Failure Lp and the rest of our albums had been re- released as well from 1986+’87’ Coroner’s Office and The Missing Link Ep) so I was playing double the amount of times I usually had to, but I wouldn’t trade those years for all the tea in China. I’m nearly 60 now and believe it or not just started listening to Black Metal for my first time after all these years! I quite enjoyed the Mayhem Deathcrush album and the ones whom most people have no idea about. However they are our friends. From The Accused to The Crumbsuckers; Hallow’s Eve + Zoetrope and so many others ( popular and you’ll probably never get a taste of), but GS were doing the whole Carcass meets Entombed schtick from’87-92 and apparently they have begun once more? Sincerely yours, DJP Anal Cunt; Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! They are good and I love old Carcass the first 3 and it,s good to have a couple of bands in the World that sound like Grind! I re!Ber when this came out in "91" it was a great year for Grind And Death bands! I wish I could turn the clock back to "1990" again. would have been to a lot more shows even though I seen Carcass Napalm Death and other legends of grind in the early 90,s!
I know most will say that Carcass did it first and better but I prefer General Surgery. The vocals and the distinctive guitar buzz and guitar squeal are just perfect.
1- ominous lamentations 2- slithering maceration of ulcerous facial tissue paper 3- grotesque laceration of mortified fleshcrawl 4- severe catatonia in pathmark 5- crimson concerto, brother where art thou
Necrology is great, but that statement is awfully hard to justify. If someone of modernity were to paint a technically perfect picture of Christ--I'm aware of the stigma; bear with me a moment--feasting with his disciples at a table prior to his execution, and a patron were to remark that that artist has created "everything The Last Supper wanted to be and more," would not that critic be made a laughingstock overnight? The aforementioned plagiarizer is no da Vinci, and General Surgery is no Carcass.
Ian Davison You're right, but my opinion is that this is still better (in my tastes) than Reek of Putrefaction. I feel it does the atmosphere more justice and I prefer the writing style. Again, that's probably just me.
00:00 Ominous Lamentation
03:10 Slithering Maceration Of Ulcerous Facial Tissue
04:21 Grotesque Laceration Of Mortified Flesh
05:50 Severe Catatonia In Pathology
08:47 Crimson Concerto
People like you always save me. I hate full EPs, albums or demos without tracklist.
Bless you pal ❤️
@@orion_nebula_0yeah true words.

It's truly ridiculous how great this EP is. Pure class!
absud how deep and intense....how they show what they learned from carcass...FULL respect to GENERAL SURGERY.
Yeah 91 had some cool crud
Gritty dirty homage to mighty CARCASS. Hails GENERAL SURGERY.
The washbasin drain voice at 3:53 is the best thing i've ever heard in my life.

THE BEST ALBUM..FROM GENERAL SURGERY.......
this dirty guitars rocks, love this very talented oldschool sound
My favorite EP of all time besides haunting the chapel
I would describe General Surgery as a mix of Impetigo, Carcass, Rottrevore, Entombed, Grave.
They are good and I love old Carcass the first 3 and it,s good to have a couple of bands in the World that sound like Grind! This is the best album of General surgery
4:21 is one of the best riffs ever made.
05:50 is killer too

I remember I popped 5 tabs of acid on this ep it sounded like I was in a insane asylum

I know most will say that Carcass did it first and better but I prefer General Surgery. The vocals and the distinctive guitar buzz and guitar squeal are just perfect.
So since Carcass was out first this band took there style\sound, etc. Do like them though.
Yeah these guys are infamous for being a Carcass clone.

What kind of Carcass is this? xD General surgery based on Carcass' style
James Santos yes it does they remind me of old carcass.
All the ep sounds like carcass haha very sick

I think General Surgery is not an original band, it is a Carcass wannabe.

MASTER PIECE
Now I see where the early Haemorrhage comes from...
I think they like Carcass. But that's cool because so do I!
I love this fucking album
Back when death metal was original and halfway listenable.
I can't say this band is original, but it is great. Sad to see what death metal is now.
Bonerific!
the red band logo and green EP title look better than the Orange imo.
Besides impetigo. Old Impetigo there first 2 Albums and Carcass the iventers of Gore Grind.
This is good EP Fuck yeah
This shit rules
I can feel my face melting off as i listen to this.. Such a Brutal and Disgusting Goregrind album.
Fuckin' great!
Genital grinder riff around 2:20

Ode to Carcass /m/
"distinctive guitar buzz"?? Every Swedish band uses this sound.
Yeah but not in Goregrind

No vabbe' tremendi proprio!
death grind antologico.
I believe that listening to this EP has caused my brains to liquify....as a result my ears are seeping grey matter.....🤢
Whoa, yikes...
Cirugía General "Necrologia"!!! 💀🤘🔪💉💊
What's more brutal, this or Grave's Into The Grave?
100% necro
Ese cover con los médicos en cirugía sin anestesia 🥺
Reminds me of Bathory but way tighter.
11:09 what was that...
a guitar solo?
Everything Reek of Putrefaction by Carcass wanted to be done so much better.
Necrology is great, but that statement is awfully hard to justify.
