@@QuinnPrezz Deathstroke, Firefly, Bane, The Last Bane Fight, Killer Croc, Shiva. They are REALLY good boss Fights (Specially Deathstroke, what is so well done), I Wish Arkham Knight has this type of Boss Fights, but in that game we have Batmobile Fights, and Instant Takedown. (still a really good game)
maybe its just me but I found the Knight map to be rather forgettable, maybe its just because I memorized Arkham city, but never took the time to explore the knight map
Damn I just want a Batman game where it's completely Open-World, Free roam, you can drive the Batmobile, access the BatCave, and Gotham actually has people in it. Is that too much to ask for?
Totally agree, was so disappointed with Arkham Knight after a few hours into the game. Batmobile was awesome in the beginning, then got repetitive later on.
Sounds like you want what the new rumored batman arkham game has. Batman arkham crisis. Check it out. If its real it will appear in march game informer. Itz got a map 1.5 times larger than gta 5. Use the batwing. 12 act story. Each act is an hour and side mission are uo to 3 hours long. Combat upgraded a bit. I hope its all true
I didn't play Origin for three years because idiots told me it sucked... I cursed them when i found out it is as great as all the others and fit just right in the serie.
see the problem is that people default to saying that city was the best game in the series because at its time it had expanded upon what asylum introduced in every way.
I absolutely agree, because a series is made to have different parts that make it a whole series, and each person having a favorite in that series makes it an active and successful series, especially the this batman arkham series, I just got my ps4 a few weeks ago and I downloaded the batman return to Arkham bundle on sale for the August sales, it comes with batman arkham asylum and arkham city, I just started playing arkham asylum and I love it so much, can't wait for arkham city as well
I remember playing Asylum back in the day, i was 11 and i also remember shitting my pants whenever Killer Croc popped on screen. Such an amazing game, still my favorite out of all the Arkham games!
You werent the only one- i downloaded a cracked pc version on the internet before buying the game, restarting the game twice then turning my pc off thinking the thing was badly cracked or downloaded incomplete
Origins is the best one for me. Batman is so aggressive and very Dark, Joker is mad and the environment with Christmas is no nice and obviously the fight with deathstroke is just awsome
Makypine asylum was the worst out of them. the gliding was fucking awful and you could barely free roam with no side missions, which makes the other games so good
@@relaze2747 yuuup its good but u use too much and it gets quite annoying but its still good and the whole game overall was phenomenal if the batmobil fights were toned down a bit and instead replaced with mistery solving or when u rescontrsuct a crime scene or some extra boss fight that wouldve been a 11/10 game but nevertheless its a 9/10 for me or a 10/10 rly great game.
Honestly asylum just did so well in capturing that vibe you’d think it’d have. It really made it feel like you were stuck as Batman on an island filled with the criminally insane, with the darkness and feeling alone in your quest to stop the joker. Not to mention the asylum itself which I’d say accurately captures the essence of what a taken-over asylum would feel like
couldn't have said it better. As a kid it blew my mind and normally you don't pay attention to things like that but the feel of asylum was insane. Words can't describe.
@@thatone2265 I’m almost certain you didn’t even get halfway through the game you probably got lost and gave up early on like most people. That’s okay though ive beaten all of them and they’re the best games ive ever played
Asylum: amazing atmosphere, great story, good gameplay City: great map, great story, great gameplay Origins: best bossfights Knight: best map, best side missions, best riddler collectibles, best gameplay (by far) great story, best graphics.
City obviously has the worst story and writing. I'm beyond tired of people heaping so much undeserved praise on the most relatively disappointing video game sequel since God of War 2. It expanded the core gameplay from AA well in most ways. However, the implementation of armored enemies in combat and predator was a goofy and artificial way to try to make players use automatic/loud takedowns. The titans of Arkham Asylum were simple yet viscerally satisfying enemies to fight. But in AC you just perma-stun them and mash square while Batman's head and shoulders embarrassingly clip into him. Not all proper boss fights were winners, either. Grundy was a pseudo boss fight puzzle reminiscent of the lamest parts of God of War 2, and the actual one-on-one part of the fight with Ra's was a wholly inferior version of the battle with Poison Ivy in AA. By far the shortest campaign of the four main games. Everything involving Catwoman was mediocre at best and came in strange intervals. But that absolutely horrendous story is what cripples it. The writing is like sub-par fan-fiction (if I ever read fan-fiction). Overtly nonsensical plot holes, laughably contrived events and cringe-inducingly juvenile dialogue throughout. This is the norm, not the exception. It's thematically bankrupt as it pretends to be epic and profound with (admittedly) stirring music. Look, every Arkham game has some contrivances, but they're nowhere near as bad nor as widespread as in AC. Just about every aspect of the main story can be meticulously pulled apart. It's not in any way comparable to Dini's fantastic contributions to Batman: The Animated Series and its feature films. This is not the Mask of the Phantasm of gaming. I have to say that some of the side missions like Zsasz's phone calls were actually much, much better written. Some of the major plot twists were embarrassingly self-spoiled. We could see that there was a healthy-looking Joker that gassed Batman, the real Joker coughing as he's filming Clayface Joker, and we could see Clayface Joker facing the mirror and seeing the sick Joker. I don't know how any person could be surprised by the end reveal (attempted one, anyway). I will say that the challenge mode would've been easily the best of the series, but the absolutely scummy practice of carving out DLC character and challenge maps that could've been on the disc on day one, then selling them back to gamers. Each of the four main Arkham games are guilty of this to some degree, but City is absolutely the worst offender. To top it all off, we had to stare at a purple-caped Batman for the entire game the first time through (there is a cheat code to use alternate skins, but that wasn't known until months after the game released). As a game, I definitely prefer Arkham City over Arkham Origins. But the Arkham City I played is nowhere near deserving the praise it gets. I honestly thought I had a spoof copy of the game after the first time I played it.
@@outis439-A I didn't say that. I mean it shouldn't be viewed as any good as a story like Mask of the Phantasm. Arkham City is thematically bankrupt nonsense.
Personally I loved Origins. The boss fights were perfection. The Deathstroke one was god tier. Arkham City was amazing and I was able to see why it was Game of the Year. Arkham Asylum: I haven’t played it, but it looks decent. Arkham Knight though: Absolutely amazing!!!! It looks god damn crazy in a good way
GameTitan74 Knight was such a huge disappointment from City. So much build up from Arkham City like Hush, Scarecrow, Ra’s Al Ghul and none of them paid off in the end. The batmobile was forced down our throats and the limitless tank battles absolutely kills its replay value. I’ve replayed and beat all the Arkham Games countless time (especially Arkham City) but Arkham Knight? I beat it once and never picked it up again....
I got Return to Arkham a couple years ago and I really enjoyed beating both Asylum and City, I would recommend getting it, I got it for around £20 even back when it came out
yes, the free flow combat in Arkham Knight is damn perfect. A little less batmobile, more bosses as in City and a slightly better story and it woulbe be everyones favorite
I personally put Arkham Asylum at the top for it made you feel as you were part of an Batman episode from animated series. While we faced many villains, it still managed to be a more focused game featuring Joker as main bad guy. I find a certain richness in such a game and would've loved more episodes like these Rest of the games felt more like Dark Knight Trilogy movies (which again is a huge compliment) but in the game the games were a bit too scattered with all the side missions and it was always the city destroying level threat. I do love the grandness of scale we got to playthrough but its also like when asking for a more beautiful garden, they increased the size of the garden rather than the beauty of it. Another way to look at it would be like asylum was more horror genre game in comparison like early Resident Evil games while others were more of later RE games where zombies are just a target for you Saying that, I really appreciated the upgrades in many gadgets and playing as Catwoman was honestly pretty amazing!
It's so crazy that origins is my favorite game. It's just too good bro, the boss fights were perfect, in my opinion they portrayed the beginning of batman too well and it was just so perfect, the beginning of batman and how aggressive he is, he is so angry and young. And using roger was the best option for a younger batman, the beginning of a relationship with the villians and batman and them beginning to fear him and especially the relationship with bane or joker with batman. They portrayed the beginning of a great rivalry between joker and batman just too good. And then you can see that the joker will start to know batman better and he knows his weaknesses, like he didn't know that batmam would not kill anyone and he tried to break him. So joker was the best in origins and had the best design as a younger joker. The story was perfect, especially bane and batman and how they knew each other. I love origins and I don't care what anyone says, it is so underrated just because of a stupid reason that rocksteady didn't make it. The Deathstroke and bane boss fights still gives me chills till this day, they don't appreciate this game much. It's definitely top 2. I understand opinions but they really should pay attention to this game more. That mission in the hotel royale is still the best mission in the series. It was perfect how you go from the sewers to the hotel and you do detective and predator stuff and you see the joker scene where he kills electrocutioner and you get his gloves, and you have to make your way up to the hotel, it was perfect. And then going to the bane fight while joker is watching. And you go save joker and actually this game really did the backstory of batman and joker justice. You can see how deep joker is. That's why I just love origins, and to point out origins was the first arkham game I played that's why I love it, it introduced me to the series. And it's the prequel so it was perfect to play first. The best joker, the best boss fights, the best character designs, the best character development, the best incantation of the villians, the perfect song, the best bruce wayne and Alfred portrayel. Hating this game is a crime.
@@samuraigames4125 I agree I played origins last on my pc and it just hit different. It was the all around best experience ive had with all of the Arkham games . Even the DLC was an amazing time for me
To me victor was a easy fight but I hated asylum only because of the hospital because it was to mutch to get around you loose we’re you are and stuff but I complete all Batman games and I just love every game
The more I play Arkham Origins the more I realize it is damn near a masterpiece. I honestly believe it's story beats every other Arkham game, it truly explained the origins of *everything*. Joker meeting Batman(a big one), how bane became so mutated, the reopening if Arkham asylum, Harley Quinn, how Joker took over the Sionis family mill, etc. Also, it presented a much younger, stubborn version of Batman who was prone to letting his emotions drive him and still felt that he could fight the entire world alone, which led to Alfred nearly being killed. I love the scenery as well, seeing Gotham covered in snow was different from the other games. I just love this game, I would call it perfect but I don't have the knowledge to make such a claim.
Enemies that counter your attacks, each boss fight having their own unique and dynamic way of fighting you, and a story that not only gracefully intoduces us to all the characters, but also give each of them their own satisfying part of the story. Origins is the best. Sue me.
I see the words on the screen, but they don't hold meaning unless you give me an example. I told you why it's great, tell me why you think it's bland. And no, using an adjective to explain another adjective doesn't count.
Saying "Lazy, generic and boring" does not = explaining why it's bland. I already told you, using adjectives to describe adjectives just doesn't cut it. You need to give me an example as to why those adjectives fit.
4. Origins - has some really great parts, but overall feels clunky and unfinished/lazy 8/10 3. Knight - Insanely well made, yet the tank battles overshadowed the combat and predator (both of which were amazing). 9.5/10 2. Asylum - Perfect for what it is, yet, apparently, perfect can get even better... 10/10 1. City - Nearly flawless. Amazing story, gameplay, characters, open-world, and the perfect sequel to the 2nd best superhero game ever made. 10/10
- Worlds with a lot of easter eggs and love in every detail - Awesome Stories - Very cool fight system and sneaking - Awesome Villains - Awesome atmosphere Thats the first game series where i can say that every game is on the same level of awesomeness. The best game series ever made
Knight w/ DLC brings it to #2 over Asylum for me too Origins felt like a shell of what we were used to at the time. I expected more brute style tactics and honestly would have preferred Gotham By Gaslight.
@@silloweet yep. i'm kinda surprised at how few people have knight last, it's by far the most boring because of the lack of hand to hand combat and boss fights, replacing it all with boring tank battles.
My list completely changes all of the time, so I can’t ever really state a set list. Sometimes Origins is my favorite solely because of its esthetic and story, sometimes Asylum is my favorite because it feels just like an episode out of the Animated Series, sometimes it’s Arkham Knight because of its incredible finale and the best free flow and predator in the series. Sometimes it’s City for the fact that it excels in all of the levels mentions previously, but isn’t quite as good in some of those fields as the others in the series.
My list 1. Batman: Arkham City -It was the game that makes me feel like batman the most and also the game that got me into the amazing series! Ever since i got it, I’ve gotten every arkham game after that, starting with origins, I have also completed it 100%! All 440 riddles and extra! I’ve completed the game 22 times! I’m going to play it again for yt soon enough so I’m excited for that! One of the best game sequels ever 2. Arkham Asylum -I never knew this existed till after a while I completed origins, when I found out I got it straight away and it was a beauty! I be completed the game 100% aswell! Every time I play this game I feel like it’s better than city like it’s super hard 3. Arkham Origins -Great Game! Me and my friends think it it’s amazing, the online mode was great, wish they had more maps and modes tho but it’s great, still playing it on Xbox one. 4. Arkham Knight -Even tho it’s last, just like you it is still one of the best games ever, amazing game, I got it on the release date like I did with most games! Graphics are amazing! Side missions are good and overall really good, kinda wish its story and the identity of Arkham knight was better tho Overall-BEST GAME SERIES EVER! It’s like it was made for me tbh and I’m so glad I found it, played the game a bunch of times especially city and yeah
then city then asylum and finally origins,my only problem with origins is that i felt they were stretchimg the story for no gd reason till it started to bore me
Arkham Asylum is my favorite in the series. The empty cities that had me running from one becon to the next made the games feel too bloated for me personally.
Arkham City always felt like a perfect middle ground. It's big enough to be impressive and full of content, but also dense enough that you can just disregard the map completely after a few hours of playing.
My favorite is Asylum. Right size, length, atmosphere, etc. I’ve probably spent the most time on City with my favorite bit being all the playable characters in challenge maps. Origins is severely underrated. I’ve never understood why people almost universally say it’s the worst of the bunch. I loved playing that story set in the early days. Knight was still great but my least favorite of the bunch. Batmobile was a fun addition, and I even enjoyed the tank battles, but there were far too many of them.
Sk1nn3r24 the thing with origins for me is that the gameplay felt like a copy and paste of city and once you figure that out it kinda ruined the enjoyment of combat/stealth sections. Don’t get me wrong I love every game in the series but origins feels like the black sheep of the family.
@@subairali8075 Yeah... I loved the series and mechanics as a whole, so even though Origins felt similar, to me it just felt like more of a great thing overall. Like if someone gave you a piece of cake, and you loved that cake, then they gave you more of that same cake, only they're giving you City and Origins. Maybe Origins was a slightly stale cake because it sat out for a day or so, but it was cake all the same. Bad cake analogies aside, I'm actually really bummed that they haven't released Origins digitally for Xbox One. I hope they get around to it as I'd love to play it again.
Arkham Asylum was mindblowing when it came out. Such an atmospheric and polished experience that puts you in one of the most amazing locations in the Batman universe, and painstakingly recreates everything we loved about it. The whole journey is designed to constantly surprise you and immerse you in the setting. Every gameplay mechanic is built for this type of game. Don't get me wrong, Arkham City is an amazing game that indeed expands on a lot of what made Asylum great. But in that expansion it looses the claustrophobic and tightly designed experience that the first game provided. It becomes more of a blockbuster. The best comparison I can think of is Alien to Aliens. I always preferred the original Alien, but most people love Aliens. I can understand why, it's constantly tense and engaging with a very rewarding third act, but when it comes to atmosphere, it loses a lot of what made the original great. That being said, all 4 are among my favorite games of all time.
@@josiahbicelis304 Deathstroke fight REALLY made you feel like batman not like how knight made you fight with a car through the whole thing and he was very intimidating in that game knight is a more brutal but yeah
Dwayne 16K yeah I went back and replayed and completely regret saying anything bad about it but it’s just weird going from rocksteady games to origins because it was a lot different and I really liked the way the rocksteady games looked but after playing it it’s really good and I would definitely play it again and I hope the new game comes out soon
My ranking is this. 1: Arkham city. That one was my first, and the story in it was and still is amazing. I enjoyed the gadgets and the missions since it all tied into story progression. I think the Mr. Freeze fight is massively overrated though tbh, it was enjoyable sure but it wasn't at all as great for me as it seemed to have been for many others. I don't understand why people say the arkham games were lifeless, I found criminals almost everywhere I looked in detective mode and i could always intercept radio talks between the criminals. I also found alot of the other boss fights very enjoyable. 2: Arkham knight. It built on everything good I saw in city, I simply enjoyed the story a bit more in city. From a gameplay perspective I enjoyed Arkham knight way more, I love the batmobile and in all honesty didn't think it was overused at all, if anything I wanted more tanks on the streets and more control points on the roads and on rooftops. Like City, I didn't find it at all lifeless like so many claim it was, I could always see a group of bad guys just hanging around somewhere. The batmobile made added a brilliance to it as well since it meant they could put way more criminals on the streets, the batmobile meant you always had a means of avoiding the fight if it was too tough. The bosses here were also good, just not as good as City imo. 3: Arkham origins. Yeah I'm gonna catch shit for this but I really enjoyed origins, the emphasis on detective work was nice, the combat enjoyable as always, the stealth was neither too hard or too easy, the story enjoyable and the bosses were great, I actually enjoyed some of them a good bit more than I did the ones in City. 4: Arkham Asylum. In all honesty if I had played it when it first came out I might have enjoyed it more. Don't get me wrong, I like the game but it doesn't hold a candle to origins for me. It was the first entry and it laid the grounds for a great series, but the lack of freedom and the backtracking really didn't do it for me. It was a rather disappointing finishing boss as well. All great games and I enjoyed every single one.
I found the toxic venom joker as the final boss on asylum as a pretty cool and wicked boss fight, lets be real, since when have you ever seen a big big monster like joker with a mohawk facing batman before?
@@identityman3247 don't get me wrong, it was a tad bit disappointing to me, but that's not because it was bad at all, it just wasn't what I wanted for a final showdown. I'm never gonna argue that the joker looked fucking badass in the final boss battle
@@spitzzy8089 the scarecrow battle was much like the Mr. Freeze one in city for me. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful, creative and damn fun to play, but it seems others enjoyed it a bit more than I did. It was a truely great boss battle though
@@HaillstormGaming you've got a point, but "all" they needed was for joker to get some incurable disease, I'd argue you could do that in many creative and interesting ways, and the one they chose is a good example, it just affected the boss battle a tad bit too much for me
Origins was amazing. All though they had new voice actors,I like how the Joker was actually acting insane and random. Batman in it was more aggressive and actually felt like a real person, and rocksteadys,he was monotone. Not saying hes a bad voice,he just had no emotion in what he was saying. I also loved how you didnt know who the Joker was in the game, and everything was basically fresh as hell. Great game and so are the others
That’s probably because they were both pretty young, joker in his early 30s and Batman in his mid 20s. Batman was more reckless because he just became Batman. joker wasn’t used to being constantly beaten by batman. Therefore he was a bit more random than usual. It’s just so underrated because people really dislike prequels.
@@themobilemercenary1782 The randomness of the Joker is what really sets the story for origins up. But when you start with the joker you know all for your life and have the game version of him kind of lack luster when it comes to his actions, and then put in the joker when he actually acts insane and tries to convince batman to join him throughout it all. They went with a Ledger narrative sort of with Troy's Joker. All in all,I love the emotion in both Batman and the joker in Origins
Yea. Batman kinda sucks in City. Talia dies, he is kinda ok. But when Joker dies, he has to bring him in his arms not Talia that he was supposed to love
Damn I’ve played every single Batman game and it really tears me up to know it’s over. Such amazing and young memories of mine. I play them over again just for the fun and like I said, memories. Fills my heart. Batman will forever hold a place in my life
Exactly arkham knight was so good the graphics the city looked so cool I loved when joker showed up There was jason Todd, scarecrow you got to even play as joker at the end
I actually very much enjoyed knight. It definitely had its shortcomings story-wise (mediocre main campaign, unsatisfying conclusions to cliffhangers in City, weak villains) and the batmobile was used a bit much, it was still fantastic imo. The combat was at its peak in Knight. It was smooth, satisfying, and managed to sneak in additions to the already perfect system in City. And yes I know this is mostly because it was the only next gen title of the series, but only taking into account the gameplay, it was still the best. At the very least, it had the most going on, which is as as an improvement you can get with an already perfect system. The predator gameplay had the fear takedowns which gave you a greater advantage, but it also ditched some of the mechanics in City that made it easy, such as using batclaw to pull enemies off ledges (which was fun but broken). They also added the camo suits that detective mode couldn’t detect and the heavy machine gunners that added a layer of difficulty to it. A lot of people hated the batmobile, but for what it was, it was done extraordinarily well (albeit I admit it was overused). It handled well, and the encounters were satisfying and felt unique. I felt that it was a little inappropriate for huge boss fights, or at least the tank bosses should have been followed up with on an on foot finale, but it was still different enough to hold my attention and feel exciting. Finally, the presentation of the game was just amazing. Not just in the graphics, but the cinematography, the dialogue, and the character interactions. Even though the story itself wasn’t anything special, the game was still able to have impactful moments that came with a certain weight and urgency that should be present in the final game of a series. There was a newfound sense of finality and impending doom that the other games had but did not hit as well as in this game imo. Its a huge accomplishment on its own. Anyways my list is 1. City 2. Knight 3. Asylum 4. Origins Like the video said, even last place is a fantastic game, but I gotta defend knight.
Arkham Origins was the first Arkham game I played, and I think it’s sorely underrated. It’s less good when put in context with the rest of the series, but as a stand-alone game it’s excellent.
Arkham origins was top notch for me , most enjoyable , amazing soundtracks , amazing voice acting ( better than the other ones ) , amazing boss battles , amazing story , fantastic cutscenes

My list: 1. Arkham City. Best all round storyline. Best all round voice acting. Best ending. Best plot twist too (Ra's Al Ghul's involvement with Protocol 10). 2. Arkham Origins. Almost as good as City. Yes its a massively underrated game. The voice acting here is also top notch. The story is much simpler than City's, and admittedly isn't even the second best story in the franchise. But the villians and boss fights (besides Deadshot) are absolutely fantastic. Batman is fantastic. It's also the only Arkham game to get Bane's character right. And when ir worked, the online multiplayer was very addictive. 3. Arkham Asylum. Sure, not as much available developers could do at the time, so even though gameplay was revolutionary, we now have better games in terms of gameplay. Although voice acting is again good here. Simplest story of the lot, yet a very interesting one to see unfold. Boss battles are mostly bad though, and there was little free roam. I also thought the riddler challenges were too easy, but then they made them if anything too difficult in the rest. 4. Arkham Knight. Yeah, it may have the best gameplay. Yeah, it may look pretty, and it's still overall...not bad. Voice acting is great again. But the story felt rushed and underwritten. The plot twist could easily be seen coming. And the riddler challenges went from difficult to annoyingly difficult. Also, Scarecrow didn't have time to shine because Rocksteady made Joker the main villain for the fourth game running. What saved this game from being bad imo was the dlc and overall aesthetic style of the game, and it's characters.
I agree 100% with you City is my favorite game ever Origins is criminally underrated, has awesome designs, a awesome story and the Multiplayer OMG (Good Times) Asylum is Nostalgic and has a very good story, difficult for me when I was younger and is one of the best games till date. Knight has the best graphics, the Batmobille, a entertaining story but some times you feel boring, but the fucking Boss Battles in this one were terrible, and the tank battles OMG I HATED
I'm glad you called out Rocksteady on the identity of the Arkham Knight. They made such a big deal out of him being a totally new character of their own creation, which turned out to be a big fat lie. Not enough people kicked up a fuss about this imo. It's one of the most annoying parts of the game.
Agree witchu 100% that pissed me off cause i knew who it was simply because of his whiney dialogue, batman lookin suit, fighting style, guns, knows batmans identity n there was that red hood preorder thing... They pretty much told us who it was but they laughed like we didnt know while they blew eachother.
@@Doctor_Feel_Good Lemme explain why i think otherwise... If jason todd still acts like red hood but with a different helmet color HE'S STILL RED HOOD. I would only count him as a new character if he as jason todd was also different. But he's still the same. Theres no difference in him ditching the red hood persona to the arkham knight. They even realized it wasnt that good n that's prolly why they switched him back to red hood... It would be like if bruce wayne threw the batman persona away for a new name called nightfist but still acted like the batman in everyway n dam near looked identical to the batman... He's STILL batman...
It was very easy to figure out who it was since there was alot of jason todd cutscenes in the game but ig they needed to figure out a way to bring in the red hood
4. Origins. Simply just not to much done that was different. Completely cocking us and still making Joker the main villain just killed any chance of it getting bonus points for doing something actually different. The tone was great, and I did enjoy the boss fights, it was a good game 7/10 3. Asylum. It's a great game, but I can't deny it hasn't aged INCREDIBLY and the story is very overrated. The Scarecrow and Killer Croc fights were fantastic but overall it is a lot more empty compared to the other games 8.5/10 2. Knight. It's actually underrated. The story is actually very good imo, Scarecrow is a decent main villain, and the graphics and open world are the series' best. I can't say it didn't disappoint me at times ( The boss fights, the Joker, some side missions are boring and The Arkham Knight was so frustrating) 9/10 1. City. A masterpiece of gaming. The open world feels alive, the story is unbelievable, a great array of villains and side missions, the Score is easily one of the best I've ever seen in a videogame, and I've so many great memories of it. I can't get over how brilliantly it embodies the gritty yet comically accurate theme that is Batman, and no superhero game will ever top it 10/10
Arkham Knight? UNDERRATED? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! *breathes heavily* HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! I like how you say ARKHAM KNIGHT is underrated, yet you put Origins as the worst, which is EVEN MORE underrated than Arkham Knight is.
Niggabite Scarecrow wasn’t a decent villain, but a great one. He was by far better than Strange or Ras in AC. And in every other game it was Joker anyway.
@@kirak1561 Scarecrow was an idiot who kept passing off his failures as "part of the plan". The only reason he and the Arkham Knight were even a threat was because of Joker showing up at convenient moments.
Arkham Asylum imo is by far the best Game in the series. It is an amazing lesson in atmospherical density and level design, both things in which the prequels while improving on the gameplay, disappointed. It was also the first game ever that really made me feel like a superhero...
My opinion: 1: Arkham City Best story, acting, atmosphere just brilliant 2:Knight Brilliant graphics, good story but way too much batmobile and interruptions so I hope people would understand 3: Asylum Good acting,as always CRAZY 🃏 joker But the game didn’t have everything we have in knight and city 4: Origins The voices were alright The suit one of the best The atmosphere wasn’t intense as the other Arkham games That’s my opinions of the games from best to worst hope you agree And I’m not saying origins is bad it’s still one of the best games I’ve played and I’m not saying it’s not the best because the original Arkham creators didn’t make it, it still feels like a proper Arkham game
@Eustace Bagge That doesn't change the fact that Asylum is inferior in most of the aspects in terms of visual and gameplay. You can prefer ths story, narrative, acting or whatever from Asylum (maybe estethic) but the latter games are better in graphics, fight, gadgets, etc. This lists are OBVIOUSLY subjective and it really affects which one you played first and at what age. We tend to give "points" to our first game of a saga and mpre if we are blinded by nostalgia, but when you TRY to do a more objective list then you don't care wether Asylum was released 7-8 years before Knight or not. You make it depending on which is better overall in quality. And NO, I'm not saying a game is better because of graphics or fighting, I'm saying games usually improve with time and it's normal. On the other hand, it is the story and narrative what makes the original works of a saga better, like Star Wars and movies, Halo games, books, etc. I don't prefer Origins or Knight over Asylum or City
Arkham games ranked by me from worst to best: 4.) Arkham Origins: Awesome game! Loved the snowy atmosphere but it it was kinda of a let down because I was really hyped for a sequel not a prequel. 3.) Arkham Asylum: One of the best Batman games ever! I felt like Batman for the first time and it really stood out from the failed Batman games from the past Plot was great but I just wish I could free roam more. 2.) Arkham Knight: The graphics of the game looked amazing and the gameplay was as fluid as it had ever been! Somewhat decent storyline and I enjoyed playing through with the Batmobile. (even though some missions with it were frustrating) 1.) Arkham City: By God, this game is awesome!! Great story and gameplay with a great villain introduced! (Hugo Strange) Loved the plot twist within the game and I loved the relationship between Batman and Mr. Freeze as well as with other characters like Catwoman, Gordon, Robin, etc. There is tons to do and the side missions were always fun to explore! And playing as Catwoman is also a huge plus! Definitely the best Batman game ever made!
@@thebalderthor4884 Other way around for me. Everything in Origins from the graphics, to the directing, to the villains feels cartoony and wonky. It lacks the grittiness and the more mature elements of the other games, not to mention the glitches and the combat, which is the most non-responsive of the series (after Asylum probably). Oh, and that awful Dark Knight Challenge system.
Honestly each game is great I recently started playing Arkham knight and it got me back into the series If I had to rank them I’d say 1- Arkham City - Best story, evolved the gameplay to go from looking good to playing good, great Easter eggs, best villain gallery, memorable side missions 2- Arkham knight - best combat system, best enemy variety, fantastic graphics, great dlc, has the best ar training mode, and most playable characters 3- Arkham Asylum - fantastic start to the franchise, most interesting world, music and tone was great, the intel files and audio logs were great Honestly Arkham asylum is the worst “game” in the Arkham franchise but it gives a more unique tone and is still worth playing for nostalgia 4- Arkham origins- fantastic combat, interesting story, best boss fights of the franchise, multiplayer, I have to state I’ve only played arkham origins twice and I that was years ago I haven’t played it since I got my PS4 but I am planning on picking up an Xbox to play it I remember origins being a fantastic game but I haven’t played it in so long and because of that I can’t rank it up with the rest, at least until I play it again
One thing arkham knight did really well was the predator mode gameplay with enemys that adapt to your tricks (like grouping up more or putting mines on vantage points or fire grenades in floor grates) not to mention the more ways to use gadgets in stealth like the voice modulator or remote hacking device. TLDR: Arkham knight has good stealth mechanics.
Arkham Knight's stealth fails in the challenge department, however. As long as you are hiding in a grate or perched onto a vantage point, since no enemy can even fathom the concept of 'looking up', and you are able to swiftly move to a safer location, you will not be seen. Even on the hardest difficulty, it's a bloody cakewalk. And don't even get me started on the fear multi takedown...
Scarecrow was the sole reason why Asylum was and still is my favorite Arkham game, his appearance in Knight was so so but Asylum is what made me love him alot
All the Arkham games were incredible. Even though Origins wasn't made by Rocksteady, I think that WB Montreal delivered a very solid game. I feel that Origins had the best flow during the fights in the entire series.
Uhh... Gotta disagree.
1. Arkham City - This was THE Batman game need I say more? 2. Arkham Origins - I don’t care what anyone says origins was one of the best, the boss-fights were A1, cinematics were stunning, and it wasn’t even developed by rocksteady. 3. Arkham Asylum - I would put this higher if I didn’t like the first two so much, it IS the very first Arkham game, so why not? 4. Arkham Knight - I still play this game to this DAY, but the story was disappointing. Yes the graphics were amazing, the voice cast is stellar, and the combat was the best it has ever been.
I must disagree with you on Arkham Knight's combat. To me, it was the worst in the series. This becomes especially apparent in the AR challenges where Batman would auto-lock on to enemies with shields, breaking your combo. Or when Batman will suddenly jump from one person to the next SOOOO slowly, just because the game feels like you shouldn't be able to dodge that one attack. Although, in most cases, the story doesn't suffer these flaws. I feel like the AR challenges were an afterthought and therefor didn't get proper polishing.
I know I'm a little late, But here's my list 1: Arkham Origins 2: Arkham Asylum 3: Arkham City 4: Arkham Night I know I'm gonna get a bunch shit for this list but yeah I still loved all the games though
Bro origins was my favorite the boss fight were the best and the story was good as well in my opinion but city definitely had the best story over all while Arkhan knight had the beat atmosphere and graphics
Arkham City will always be the best but...asylum has the best atmosphere and was the beginning of the series and origins was great on it's own and had the best boss fights and arkham knight had some really great thing's going for it too despite the overuse of the batmobile so they all are great in there own way😆
The Arkham Series is one of those things that you know that make the world is a better place by existing in it. It's outstanding. Arkham City being the greatest game I've played
The way Batman jumps off roof tops and glides down through the snow hitting enemies and berating Alfred about his Christmas meal, is just full of the exaggerated swagger of a young, rich, white man in a Bat costume
@@Mohamad-m7md my list is Asylum, Knight,City,Origins. All games are great but Asylum and Knight are my fav games but i dont like the graphics of Origins.
1. Arkham City- Simply put the definitive Batman game. Masterpiece! 2. Arkham Knight - An excellent game with top notch gameplay and obviously the best graphically in the series. However, I found the story to be wonky and Batmobile sections while overall enjoyable to be a bit overdone. 3. Arkham Asylum - Greatness! The game that finally and thankfully broke the "Batman games always suck" stigma. With that said I found the Titan plot / storyline to be a little silly and the closed in / stuck in an asylum atmosphere to be somewhat limiting. 4. Arkham Origin - A good game with an interesting well thought out story. However it was very buggy and glitchy. Dissapointed there was never a patch released to fix it.
@@sladewilson8862 its so not. Origins had a bland boring world, uninteresting side missions, clunky combat compared to all else, ok story at best, major plot holes etc. Arkham knight on the other hand was near perfect in every way, combat was second if not on par with city, and alot more variety and expansive in weapons and abilities, the ultimate batman experience. Not every1 hated the tank battles, but for those who do, its the only real flaw in the game.

Asylum: is just a masterpiece City: is even better Origins: still great Arkham knight: best looking but the worst one too many riddles and the annoying use of the batimobile.

Rest of the games felt more like Dark Knight Trilogy movies (which again is a huge compliment) but in the game the games were a bit too scattered with all the side missions and it was always the city destroying level threat. I do love the grandness of scale we got to playthrough but its also like when asking for a more beautiful garden, they increased the size of the garden rather than the beauty of it.
Another way to look at it would be like asylum was more horror genre game in comparison like early Resident Evil games while others were more of later RE games where zombies are just a target for you
Saying that, I really appreciated the upgrades in many gadgets and playing as Catwoman was honestly pretty amazing!

We don't talk about the grappling system...
Unless we're talking about the superior combat, boss fights, and story. Then I could go on for days.
4. Origins - has some really great parts, but overall feels clunky and unfinished/lazy 8/10
3. Knight - Insanely well made, yet the tank battles overshadowed the combat and predator (both of which were amazing). 9.5/10

My list
1. Batman: Arkham City
-It was the game that makes me feel like batman the most and also the game that got me into the amazing series! Ever since i got it, I’ve gotten every arkham game after that, starting with origins, I have also completed it 100%! All 440 riddles and extra! I’ve completed the game 22 times! I’m going to play it again for yt soon enough so I’m excited for that! One of the best game sequels ever
2. Arkham Asylum
-I never knew this existed till after a while I completed origins, when I found out I got it straight away and it was a beauty! I be completed the game 100% aswell! Every time I play this game I feel like it’s better than city like it’s super hard
3. Arkham Origins
-Great Game! Me and my friends think it it’s amazing, the online mode was great, wish they had more maps and modes tho but it’s great, still playing it on Xbox one.
4. Arkham Knight
-Even tho it’s last, just like you it is still one of the best games ever, amazing game, I got it on the release date like I did with most games! Graphics are amazing! Side missions are good and overall really good, kinda wish its story and the identity of Arkham knight was better tho
Overall-BEST GAME SERIES EVER! It’s like it was made for me tbh and I’m so glad I found it, played the game a bunch of times especially city and yeah

Arkham Asylum is my favorite in the series. The empty cities that had me running from one becon to the next made the games feel too bloated for me personally.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that enjoys the metroidvania style of arkham asylum better than the boring open world of the other arkham games
Arkham City always felt like a perfect middle ground. It's big enough to be impressive and full of content, but also dense enough that you can just disregard the map completely after a few hours of playing.
It took probably less than a minute to get from one side of the map to the the other in Arkham city.
At least it made sense in City. It was a walled off part of Gotham that was completely flooded and ruined to time.
@@xgrillsenx city and knight and origins were better
@@subairali8075 ikr, the map was arkham city mashed with the most generic city map I have ever seen

@The Umbrella Great minds think alike? (though I hardly consider mine a great mind!)

All great games and I enjoyed every single one.
while the final boss battle was a bit lackluster, the scarecrow battles was probably the best boss battle for me and made up for the final battle
@@HaillstormGaming you've got a point, but "all" they needed was for joker to get some incurable disease, I'd argue you could do that in many creative and interesting ways, and the one they chose is a good example, it just affected the boss battle a tad bit too much for me
I love all of the Arkham games, l remember playing Arkham city on the 360
Origins was amazing.
I liked how the Joker's voice actor in origins was like a mixture of Hamill and Raiden's voice actor's(I don't remember his name) joker voices
DID YOU JUST CALL KEVIN FREAKING CONNROY monotone. I almost agree tho he didn’t feel that much like Batman

Exactly arkham knight was so good the graphics the city looked so cool I loved when joker showed up
There was jason Todd, scarecrow you got to even play as joker at the end
Anyways my list is
1. City
2. Knight
3. Asylum
4. Origins

My list:
Flaquaboman that's my exact list.

Origins is criminally underrated, has awesome designs, a awesome story and the Multiplayer OMG (Good Times)
Asylum is Nostalgic and has a very good story, difficult for me when I was younger and is one of the best games till date.
Knight has the best graphics, the Batmobille, a entertaining story but some times you feel boring, but the fucking Boss Battles in this one were terrible, and the tank battles OMG I HATED
That almost the same as my list but I put origins as my favourite
I'm glad you called out Rocksteady on the identity of the Arkham Knight. They made such a big deal out of him being a totally new character of their own creation, which turned out to be a big fat lie. Not enough people kicked up a fuss about this imo. It's one of the most annoying parts of the game.
Agree witchu 100% that pissed me off cause i knew who it was simply because of his whiney dialogue, batman lookin suit, fighting style, guns, knows batmans identity n there was that red hood preorder thing... They pretty much told us who it was but they laughed like we didnt know while they blew eachother.
Alex Crick it is a new character though the Arkham knight even though Jason Todd was the man behind this new character/identity

The tone was great, and I did enjoy the boss fights, it was a good game 7/10
3. Asylum. It's a great game, but I can't deny it hasn't aged INCREDIBLY and the story is very overrated. The Scarecrow and Killer Croc fights were fantastic but overall it is a lot more empty compared to the other games 8.5/10
2. Knight. It's actually underrated. The story is actually very good imo, Scarecrow is a decent main villain, and the graphics and open world are the series' best. I can't say it didn't disappoint me at times ( The boss fights, the Joker, some side missions are boring and The Arkham Knight was so frustrating)
9/10
1. City. A masterpiece of gaming. The open world feels alive, the story is unbelievable, a great array of villains and side missions, the Score is easily one of the best I've ever seen in a videogame, and I've so many great memories of it. yee yee rebel exactly man origins suit was one of the best I’ve seen
Arkham games ranked by me from worst to best:
4.) Arkham Origins: Awesome game!
(even though some missions with it were frustrating)
1.) Arkham City: By God, this game is awesome!!
Terry Price I disagree with you there
Yep, this is the best comment.
ACKTTTTTUALLLYYY........ Hugo strange as been seen in the comics and one of the first ever villains of Batman.
4) Arkham knight
3) Arkham origins
2) Arkham asylum
1) Arkham city
Arkham Origins for me is the best from feel, to story, to boss fights. among all of them only origins was the one i completed multiple times
Agreed! The others feel more cartoony while origins feels more gritty and badass.
Honestly each game is great
I recently started playing Arkham knight and it got me back into the series
If I had to rank them I’d say
1- Arkham City - Best story, evolved the gameplay to go from looking good to playing good, great Easter eggs, best villain gallery, memorable side missions
2- Arkham knight - best combat system, best enemy variety, fantastic graphics, great dlc, has the best ar training mode, and most playable characters
3- Arkham Asylum - fantastic start to the franchise, most interesting world, music and tone was great, the intel files and audio logs were great
Honestly Arkham asylum is the worst “game” in the Arkham franchise but it gives a more unique tone and is still worth playing for nostalgia
4- Arkham origins- fantastic combat, interesting story, best boss fights of the franchise, multiplayer,
I have to state I’ve only played arkham origins twice and I that was years ago
I haven’t played it since I got my PS4 but I am planning on picking up an Xbox to play it
I remember origins being a fantastic game but I haven’t played it in so long and because of that I can’t rank it up with the rest, at least until I play it again
i enjoyed knight more then asylum
Same but thats purely because of free roam
Ikr
Me too
Asylum had such a different feel. It’s atmosphere was amazing and was the best in my opinion
Am I the only one who loves the batmobile ?
The fact that you could rank these four games in any order you please and it be completely valid and justified is a major testament to this series
Absolutely true
@@BittersweetDuality and more crazy to put knight at the top
@@ecstasy1078 Knight has the best gameplay
One thing arkham knight did really well was the predator mode gameplay with enemys that adapt to your tricks (like grouping up more or putting mines on vantage points or fire grenades in floor grates) not to mention the more ways to use gadgets in stealth like the voice modulator or remote hacking device.
TLDR: Arkham knight has good stealth mechanics.
They also used to revive their fallen teammates
@@TheHardcoreGamer10 Revive? He knocks 'em out, but he does not kill them.
Knights gameplay just sometimes felt too easy though and wasn’t cramped enough with combat or predator. Too much room
I think everyone can agree on city being the best and most enjoyable to play
Well Origins has a multiplayer mode...

@Versatile Wolf people are allowed to have their opinions and I agree with them.
@Versatile Wolf no, that is an opinion besides if Origins isn't at the bottom of the list.
@Versatile Wolf But it has the best boss fights and cinematics.
@Versatile Wolf Wait hold in where have a met you previously 🤣 oh shit the ps4 video yeahh
In Arkham Asylum I remember just getting lost in Killer Croc's domain and then I just gave up and played GEARS of WAR.
Ive never actually played these games and youve just convinced me to buy all of them, good vid

As a psychologist Arkham Knight is my favorite, but all the other games are fantastic as well. The Arkham franchise is one of the best.
How does being a psychologist push you towards Arkham Knight ?

It’s supposed to look like it’s “corrupted.” Like the games code has done a complete 180
Bruh your head is 3x bigger then your arm wtf
I love the LEGO Batman music in the background.
Agreed
All the Arkham games were incredible. Even though Origins wasn't made by Rocksteady, I think that WB Montreal delivered a very solid game. I feel that Origins had the best flow during the fights in the entire series.
Games from Montreal companies have something in them. Like assassin's Creed ezio trilogy was made by them, and still is considered the best
To me 1. Arkham city 2. Arkham knight 3. Arkham asylum 4. Arkham origins
Ok buddy your crazy to think that city is the worst Arkham game
I’m pretty sure he means that city is the best one
@smalbot ok buddy your crazy to think that he meant its the worst 😂
Uhh... Gotta disagree.
@@LimeyFella
The fawning adulation this game gets is absolutely absurd and bizarre. Arkham City could have and should have been much better.
The reason the batmobile is used so much in Arkham knight, is they’re basically trying to make up for lost time with the batmobile
1. Arkham City
- This was THE Batman game need I say more?
2. Arkham Origins
- I don’t care what anyone says origins was one of the best, the boss-fights were A1, cinematics were stunning, and it wasn’t even developed by rocksteady.
3. Arkham Asylum
- I would put this higher if I didn’t like the first two so much, it IS the very first Arkham game, so why not?
4. Arkham Knight
- I still play this game to this DAY, but the story was disappointing. Yes the graphics were amazing, the voice cast is stellar, and the combat was the best it has ever been.
I just wanna say best list ever...
And arkham knight has done unique side missions and amazing sound effects
It's better then asylum
I must disagree with you on Arkham Knight's combat. To me, it was the worst in the series. This becomes especially apparent in the AR challenges where Batman would auto-lock on to enemies with shields, breaking your combo. Or when Batman will suddenly jump from one person to the next SOOOO slowly, just because the game feels like you shouldn't be able to dodge that one attack.
Although, in most cases, the story doesn't suffer these flaws. I feel like the AR challenges were an afterthought and therefor didn't get proper polishing.
This is the best list ever
I know I'm a little late, But here's my list
1: Arkham Origins
2: Arkham Asylum
3: Arkham City
4: Arkham Night
I know I'm gonna get a bunch shit for this list but yeah I still loved all the games though

Arkham City being the greatest game I've played
city, origins, asylum, knight (based on the amount of fun i had with them)
Bro the scarecrow bit made me mad always cuz I also thought it was broken 😂
A lot of us thought the same XD
The joker ending in knight scared me.
The way Batman jumps off roof tops and glides down through the snow hitting enemies and berating Alfred about his Christmas meal, is just full of the exaggerated swagger of a young, rich, white man in a Bat costume

Origins is better than knight, so...
Agreed, there are just too many missions with batmobile
IMan E I agree with you dude. Origins sucked
@@tigerzgaming9043 it had highlights. deathstroke, joker and the relationship between bruce and alfred were really worth playing for. Bane tho... Seriously overused, i hated that. Story was ok, simple to follow. I cant say it sucked, it was good, just not great.

All of these games are amazing and almost complete masterpieces of their own! If anything, I’d say this is the best and most fun video game series of all time!
Origins for me. Best story, boss fights, grittiness, realism, iconic moments, and atmosphere. It's not even close.
Rick Jones sane here I loved origins
It is my favorite as well. But there's no way the atmosphere is better than Asylum's.
I loved origins but it felt like a DLC not a standalone game and a really boring and dull city but the bossfights and the story was amazing

Asylum: is just a masterpiece
City: is even better
Origins: still great
Arkham knight: best looking but the worst one too many riddles and the annoying use of the batimobile.
Too many riddles? It has the same amount of riddles as Arkham Asylum. In fact, City has too many riddles. Over 400, I reckon.
