  • Today, we’ll look at some of the most affordable but fully-configured twin-engine piston aircraft, with unit prices ranging from 2 million all the way down to just over 600,000 USD, brand new. Of course, 2 million dollars is definitely no pocket change for mere mortals like us, but we have a great lineup for you today so stick around to see our top spot!
    For many aircraft owners and operators, traveling over 500 nautical miles without a fuel stop is a major priority. Unlike single-engine piston aircraft, twin engines offer additional payload capacity and improved speed capability. This naturally comes at the expense of increased fuel costs and additional training for pilots. Having a second engine also offers added security and peace of mind to pilots and passengers alike.

    I would never buy an aircraft without an usb. Most people buy planes to recharge their phones.

    The Piper Seminole should have been included in this line up - a great starter twin with a long proven traditional track record.

      High wing airplanes are notorious for the bad visibility in visual patterns, actually. Also good luck getting maintenance on those Rotax engines.

    If Diamonds are on the cheapst list, we're all in trouble.

  • @justdoingitjim7095

    Those Diamond aircraft looked a little "squirelly" both on the runway and in the air. Looks like their controls are a bit over-sensitive.

    • @AviationFederation
      @AviationFederation  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Your observation about the Diamond aircraft being a bit "squirrely" in both takeoff and flight is interesting. Aircraft handling characteristics can vary, and sensitivity in controls is a notable aspect. Are there specific types of aircraft or manufacturers whose handling characteristics you find more to your preference?

    Purchase considerations.
    = Mod-hack for military(no need certification or approval or any paper work)
    = Nose cone to single-prop, reduce MTOW and increase runway take-off and landing distance.
    = Wheels(sand, grass) and pontoons, for new pilots to make mistakes at aerodomes. Always belly-landing, is cheap option.
    = 6 seaters with tunsil-barber seats for rotating-passing to rear-toilets in 1-1-1 configuration.
    = Loiter hours rather than range(distance) for nagging-talking training.
    = ...

      Barber seat foot rest for legs up when rotating seat. Not using yaw pedals to rotate seat. Foot pressure during dive bomb is input to control surfaces as add-subtract trim. Ahhhhh is an input

      You have no seat.

    • @AviationFederation
      @AviationFederation  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your considerations highlight an interesting approach, especially with a focus on military mod-hacks and features like a nose cone to single-prop for improved take-off and landing. The emphasis on versatile landing options and a unique seating configuration for training purposes adds an intriguing dimension. Have you come across any existing aircraft models that align with these specific features, or are you exploring custom modifications?
