Gta 4 had some neat features that I really liked like being able to pick little pieces of trash up off the ground and throw them or being able to respond to police missions in a police car
Yeah. Gta5 had a lot more activities, but felt less sandboxy. Feels like there are more physics and little details to play around with in gta4. Honestly I just wish they'd make a gta with the life sim elements that san andreas had. Like working out to get buff, or eating more to get fat, finding a girlfriend, increasing your overall likeability by dressing nicer, etc.

GTA IV, this game is either serious or goofy, either one or the other or both.
Aside from San Andreas I do think GTA IV is the best GTA. It was the only GTA I completed, yes even San Andreas I never actually completed, and it's the only GTA I want to go back to to complete again.
This is the only game ever that had me had a fit of rage where I broke the keypad, my mouse and got an stress rash on my arms. Great game tough.

The bugs (weird zooms and shaking in the cutscenes, and broken AI (people stuck on doors)) are caused by too high framerate. Limiting the framerate to 60 FPS solves the issues.

GTA IV has great physics, I love how when you bump into someone they stumble, or how they react when you shoot them in the leg. Euphoria Engine is great.

I love GTA 4, it has much more realistic and dark tone, for example Nicko's quotes like "War Is Where The Young And Stupid Are Tricked By The Old And Bitter Into Killing Each Other." And when you finally find the traitor and you have to make a decision to kill him or let him live.
Speaking to Ilyena Faustin about his time in the war, Niko reflects on the bad things he had done in the war. When asked if he was worried about his soul, he explained an incredibly dark thing he saw during the war and compared himself to it.
This is one of the darkest conversations throughout Grand Theft Auto IV. I still remember Nicko turning off the car radio on his own after the traitor mission because he was so agitated. It was such a surprising moment. Simple, but memorable!

back in the olden days i used to watch someone with the most chaotic GTA 4 videos, she would make random NPC “friends” and use the dating system to just make ridiculous dates like trying to pick someone up in a helicopter whose house is right next to a bridge over the road.. i always loved watching her because she’d disregard any and all rules of the games she played, pick out weird ones she found browsing steam, and play everything wrong because the chaos that ensued made her laugh hysterically. when i think GTA IV i think of pure chaos.
she stopped posting as often a while back now and when i found kevin it felt like breathing fresh air, seeing a game played not as intended but so creatively for the first time in years. filled a void.

IMO, I prefer GTA 4 over GTA V.
It has a interesting story, detailed and immersive world, side missions, activites to do such as bowling, dating, becoming a vigilante and the characters are memorable and well written.

This game and I have a long history. I would pick it up, play a quarter to half of the story, drop it for months, and come back forgetting EVERYTHING so I'd have to start the story over many timmes. But it never really bothered me because it was such a great and ICONIC game. So many fond memories, and I was even thinking about picking it up just yesterday! I'm so glad to get to see Kevin play this game. Great vid!

Y’know, I just realized that there’s now Lo-fi music in the background of Kevin’s vid. It affects more things in the game too though btw.
Not sure but maybe physics, some timing in missions and events, idk but messes with some more game mechanics.

I used to be addicted to stealing cop cars and locating the city's criminals and taking out the gangs. Something about being able to do that was just really cool and exciting when I was 14 😂 it may be old now but it'll always be one hell of a game for its time! Story is the best in the series. Kinda hoping 6 goes back to the routes of this game, I'd like another dark and gritty gta on a deeper level. After 5, I'd like a much better story.

I locked the game to 30FPS and game dint have those bugs any more. If you want no bugs like the consoles 30FPS is the way to go i also noticed it fixed most weird NPC behavior and reduces game crash frequantie.
I love how Kevin can play a game but the way he plays it changes the whole game completely I love the videos! Waiting ever 2nd day for a video makes everything worth while!
