- Howdy dowdy y'all I'm back with another EPIC animatic! This time for Puppeteer' cos it's my favourite song from the Circe Sage! They all did a phenomenal job, but personal shoutout to Talya Sindel - her voice is so captivating and was such an amazing casting choice!

@@jennycull1061 Circe is a sorceress and considered a minor goddess. She's the daughter of Helios and an ocean nymph (Perse) so she is still partially a goddess

I love the thought that Eurylochus was hypnotized just to bring Odysseus to her. At least that was my impression by the eyes also being pink. I think it’s a good touch either way 😊

I think you might be onto something, but it might be the opposite. He was hypnotized and was basically saying some odd stuff like her being more of a threat than gods and monsters, as well as how men were weak to women (all of which sortof makes sense at this point in the story anyway so not sure), but it might be a subtle attempt of Circe trying to get them to leave.
nah, its just because eurylochus was the only one who didn't go in, it says that in the song and the original poem

Odysseus: Damn

WOAH! This is gorgeous! I love Circe's design and the quick switches between the gentleness and her absolute power
Sorry for the lack of shading and shoddy backgrounds, twas in a rush! But I really wanted to do an animatic for Puppeteer cos it was my favourite song from the Circe Saga! 🐖🐷
Oh my! Holy Moly (pun intended) this is incredible please do not feel sorry or apologize for lack of shading or the backgrounds! The fact you got this out so quickly is amazing! Don't knock your own work down because this alone is a magnificent feat! Be proud of it!

Never apologize for your art. You gift it to us freely, and we appreciate all the work you put into it. You did a great job, and in such little time. You should be proud of yourself. Anything you see that you think you need to improve, just use that as a lesson for your next video, or if you ever do a remake in this one down the line for fun. But again, this was such a great treat to wake up to. I loved the calm beginning with the butterfly. I also absolutely loved the adorable pigs and the pig stained glass at the end. That was such a great touch! ❤🐷❤

Great animatic, I love your character design! Also, I was hoping that the haircut of the one guy would translate to his pig-form, and I was not dissapointed!

This is so gorgeous! I love the pinks and purples luring the soldiers to Circe’s palace, and the way they strengthen into strings that she uses to puppeteer them. Also all of the designs are so cute, especially the pigs (and one of them even kept his glasses!). Awesome work! ❤❤❤

I love the transition using Eurolychos' eyes. It's so smooth.
And Circe's eyes shifting ever so slightly to make her seem less friendly when she's not looking at the sailors. Excellent!

This is amazing! I love Circe's "anime villainess" style, especially after what Jay said of his inspirations. I'm curious about the design on her upper arm? I can't quite see it
It kind of looks like a potion bottle.
Also - feel free to drop your suggestions for future animatics (doesn't have to be for EPIC)! I'd love to know what you'd like me to tackle next. Was thinking of doing 'What the World Needs' or 'Sugar Cloud' from Ride the Cyclone, but nothing definitive at this point in time! 💚💜

This is perfect amazing work. I know it still be a while but would you make Legendary when it comes out or just from the clip. I think you can make it an animation to fit the songs name.
I'd quite like to see Penelope in your art style, tbh, so maybe the challenge? Or flowers (or anything else) from Hadestown?

The cute little pigs around Circie's Palace are adorable, and really dark co sidering what happens to the crew. They also eat ham btw. Just think about that.
Man that’s an advanced Ancient Greek having glasses almost 2,000 years before they were invented.
When *where* they invented tho?
@@Mapple318 glasses with frames capable of being balanced on the nose weren’t invented until the 13th century in Italy.
Magnifying glasses were used as early as Ancient Rome, but that were a glass globes filled with water not lenses with frames.

Eury: Gods, monsters, you know the roster, hostile creatures that we could resist
But this was a hell of a twist, cause we are weak to a power like this
Ody: What was it?

Will Turner : What vexes all men?
Tia Dalma : What indeed.
Gibbs : The sea?
Pintel : Sums?
Ragetti : The dichotomy of good and evil?
Jack Sparrow : A woman.
I actually have to wonder is Eury' resisting Circe is sort of a nod to him being Ody's brother-in-law and a kind of demonstration that he's loyal to Ctimene in the same way Ody' is to Penelope (on top of how the whole story works to compare how Eury' and Ody' measure their own loyalty to the crew and each other)...
Also, sort of fitting that in this version of the story, Polites is the guy picked to be the 'open arms sweetie' of the crew and who got killed first by the cyclops, no less - When in the original text, he is the one who LEADS the crew into Circe's house (and gets drunk on her roof and falls off)...
