Lockers and rock sliders right out of the box are nice. I don't like the openness of the "sport cage" or whatever they call it. Needs a crossbar at least.
Definitely agree on the lockers and sliders from the factory - very cool. Are you just concerned about the structure of the cage or would you like a crossbar for utility purposes - like mounting something up there?
I think the cage would hold up, there's just nothing to protect occupants from objects entering the cage. Like if you were to end up upside down on a large rock. Pretty common offroad.

@@ThisGuyTalks I was concerned about the lack of a cross bar on the cage at first, too. Then I found out what kind of metal they built it out of. It's stronger than the cage on the jeep and super light. I can't remember what kind of metal they made it out of but, it's awesome!

@@00_Buckshot Yeah, I think most people would probably agree with that - I know I do. There seems to be a disproportionate amount of people who like to "row their own gears" in the off-road and sports car communities though. Hopefully, Ford can keep them happy.
@@ThisGuyTalks From the number of orders. I don't think Ford will have a problem selling the Bronco with it's currently drive train offerings. I keep reading about every vehicle should have a manual transmission, yet at the Dragstrip today. I observed most of those owning a manual transmission couldn't roll the gears of even launch their cars correctly. The noise of gears grinding or a car slowing down because they missed 3rd gear tells me the new automatic transmissions available should have been checked on the order box. Yes. it's cool shifting gears when driving around, but it's a big difference when the pressure of hitting a gear is required. I think when rock crawling in a new Bronco. The automatic takes away the pressure of selecting the correct gear. The same applies at the Dragstrip. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy driving a sports car with a manual transmission, but I know I can't select gears as fast as Ford's 10 speed automatic, new DTC in the Shelby GT500 or my 2018 Chrysler 300C Hemi automatic. Less than 13% of the new vehicles manufactured in 2020 offer a manual transmission compared to 37% in 2011. So get use to the end of the manual transmission. It's already begun.

Just reserved my Bronco this past Monday. I ordered the 2 door Badlands edition. When I get to go to work out the details and options (most likely in later December - Windsor, ON, Canada) I'm going to select cyber orange with the Lux package. The 12" LCD screen is incredible (saw it in the Lincoln Aviator). I don't want the Sasquatch pkg so I may just upgrade to a set of 18" wheels eventually.
Congrats! That should be awesome. The 2-door is my preference and it should really pop in cyber orange. I've really come around to the look of the 33" tires and they should be better for daily driving as well. That will be a really nice ride!
The Badlands+Sasquatch package would be very good for off road. You could also look at the Wildtrak which comes with the Sasquatch package but doesn't have the sway bar disconnect that the Badlands does.
I reserved a 4 door black diamond, looking to add the mid package and dual tops, and pick it up in carbonized grey. Ford is saying they will be unveiling a parts catalog with 200+ parts/accessories available for the bronco. Can’t wait to see what’s all available for it!
Verrrry nice! I love that carbonized grey color, as I mentioned in the video. I'm really excited about all of the parts and accessories from Ford as well as all of the aftermarket stuff that will be available. I know Ford stated that they had been working with a number of aftermarket parts suppliers to have accessories ready to go when the Bronco first rolls out. What an exciting time to be alive!
This Guy Talks You said it! I’m still up in the air about the Sasquatch package, I love the look and capabilities of it, However the bronco will be my everyday driver, so I’m not sure if I should just opt for putting 33”s on there instead. Any thoughts on this?
@@tylerlewis3451 The Sasquatch package looks really good and should be really capable off road, but if it were me and I was daily driving it - I'd roll the 33s. I don't think there's anything in the Sasquatch package that you couldn't have a shop install for you later on. Plus, if you buy it without Sasquatch and decide that you don't need it, you've just saved yourself some money. The 33s still look really good. There are some photos floating around online of a Sasquatch-equipped Bronco sitting next to one on 33s and they're both really good-looking vehicles.
I'm definitely going with the base model. I'm putting the Sasquatch package on it, steel bumpers and rock rails. Now, if we can get a little more lift and 37s from the factory, I'm doing that! Because that would truly make a great rig to play with in the deep snow. Also, it's the biggest tire you can get without having to purchasing a piece of equipment to get an alignment done. Here's to hoping the Sasquatch package is cheap and you get get it with a manual.
That base model setup sounds awesome! I did see some other people talking about upgrading to a 37" tire in another discussion. It sounds like there are a few people going that route as well. It will be interesting to see what the Sasquatch package costs for the various trims. I assume it will be more expensive to add to the base model than to some of the other trims because some of the features are redundant on those trims. There seems to be a large push for offering the Sasquatch package with the manual transmission. Another person linked a change.org petition for that in the comments section of this video.
@@tomandhistruck 👍That's the way to do it! The nice thing is that interest rates should still very very low by the time these come out so whatever you need to finance will at least be reasonable from a borrowing perspective.
Back in the day, I so much wanted to purchase a Bronco II with the Eddie Bauer package. Loved that interior but ultimately the price was just outside my reach. Of course I’d want one of these now so I can enjoy off-roading more than with my bone stock RAM Longhorn. Thanks for this vid.
I had an '85 Bronco II back in high school (a long time ago 😒). It wasn't the Eddie Bauer, but it was awesome. I really did love that thing. It's probably the vehicle that I'm still the most sentimental about. I wish I never got rid of it. I'm sure your RAM Longhorn provides waaaay more comfort than that old Eddie Bauer would have anyway. lol. The Bronco certainly would be more capable off road though.
2 door Badlands w/Sas, Cyber Orange. No soft top option for 2-door is a big miss for me. Not interested in having or storing a hard top. Nor particularly thrilled with having to purchase an aftermarket top right away.
Yeah, I had overlooked the soft top issue with the 2-door until another commenter pointed it out. That seems crazy to me. Surely, Ford will have a soft top ready to go for it by the time it rolls out. 🤞 At any rate, that should be an awesome rig and really stand out with the cyber orange color. Love the new bronco. Made a reservation and I think I will go with the Black Diamond in silver, with the Sasquatch package! Wish they had pricing for the Sasquatch. I really like the rubberized floors and marine grade vinyl that the black Diamond has and of course the other options.
Ooh. I like the silver! I'm surprised more people haven't said that's what they're going with, but to each their own. Sasquatch is always the way. 👍 I love how easy it is for me to encourage other people to spend their money. lol Also, I wish all of the trim levels just came standard with the rubberized floors. I don't know why more trucks and SUVs offer that. It just makes so much sense for ease of cleanup.
Very nice! The Wildtrak should be very capable and look good as well. I'm not usually a fan of graphics on cars, but I think the Wildtrak ones will look really nice.
Thanks for the comment! I'd say it's a highly personal choice. For being a small displacement engine, it's puts out pretty good power in stock form. That same engine is available in the Ranger as well and there are aftermarket tunes for it that bump the power up to the same range as the stock 2.7L. So that's always an option if you buy the 2.3L and decide you want to squeeze a bit more out of it. Although, it never hurts to go with the bigger engine unless you're trying to squeeze gas mileage out of it or would just like to keep the cost down. We still don't have a ton of specifics on performance and such with the various gearing and transmission options so it wouldn't hurt to wait a bit longer until some of that info is made public. Hopefully that gives you a few things to consider.
Along with the manual option in the Sasquatch we also need the manual option in the six-cylinder. I was extremely devastated to figure out that I could only buy the manual in the four-cylinder.
For sure - the manual paired to the six-cylinder would also be really nice to have. I thought about including it, but I didn't just because I figured that's something that would have taken some extra engineering and manufacturing work whereas the Sasquatch package paired with the manual wouldn't (unless I'm overlooking something). It's possible that Ford is waiting to see how the manual sells before pairing it with the 2.7L engine. 🤞

In the Ford promo doesn't it look like the cactus gray is actually a light blue color? In the colorizer on the Ford website when you spin the truck around 360° it looks grayish green in the light and grayish blue in the shadows...
Yeah, I totally agree. I got really excited when I first saw Cactus Gray because I thought it was similar to the light blue color I was looking for. However, after looking at it on Ford's site, it appeared to be more of a green tint. I still really like that color though. I'm big on neutral tones.

I'm torn between the cactus and area 51, but I'm also a big fan of Oxford White on vehicles so I don't know which one I'm going to pick. @@fathertime209 I think overall the colors are a home run. I think white would look good as well, but I'm a clean freak and I think white would drive me crazy enough that I'd be washing it every day. lol. It will be awesome when these things hit the showrooms so that we can see them in real life. I'm still trying to get a sense of scale as well. I wish I was near a place where Ford had a pre-production model on display.
4 door, Badlands with the high package in Rapid Red(if it’s not a late available color but is a up charge color), not sure about the Sasquatch package since the Badlands pretty much comes with all the features of the Sasquatch package except the high clearance fenders and 35” tire, but I’d rather put on some 35” BFG KM3’s and add the fenders as a aftermarket item.
Congrats on your new rig! That Rapid Red color should really stand out. A Badlands with the High package should be an awesome machine. I think that's a good call to skip the Sasquatch package if you know you want the BFGs and aftermarket fenders - no sense spending money twice by replacing part of the Sasquatch package later. I can't wait to see all of the aftermarket stuff that's going to be out there when this thing starts rolling out.
That should be very nicely equipped and I'm loving the Sasquatch package! That Area 51 color looks so good in photos. I can't wait to see it in person!
At 4:12 - You mention the doors are 50 lbs a piece. I assume you are referring to the 2 door weight. Do you know what the weight will be for each door on the 4 door? At 6:10 - Probably the most important thing a consumer can do for this new release of the Bronco.
I was referencing the weights for the 4-door, actually. I just kinda averaged the weights out to speed things along. The article I read said that the front doors should be ~54 lbs. and the rear doors would be ~43 lbs.
It's probably worth mentioning that the doors on the 2-door model will likely weigh more since they are longer than those on the 4-door to accommodate access to the back seat
The Sasquatch thing is just annoying. There's no reason that they can't offer that package with the manual transmission. I can at least understand that offering the 2.7 liter engine with the manual would have required some engineering/design/testing work so I'm willing to give Ford a pass on that (although that's a bummer). However, there's nothing that I can think of that would need to be done to offer Sasquatch with the manual
That is awesome! I think the hard top is the way to go, imo. A soft top would be nice to use as well, but I'd go hard top if I was only choosing one or the other.
@@quantumfx2677 Hopefully Matthew will chime in, but the guys that I know with Jeeps tend to have both a hard top and a soft top. They usually use the soft top or just leave the top off during the warmer months. They throw the hard top on during the colder months or if the weather is bad or they're going on a road trip or something. The soft tops are easy to install and remove but also create a lot of wind noise and aren't great for temperature control. They also don't last nearly as long as a hard top. The hard tops take at least a couple people to install and remove but they also eliminate the issues that I mentioned with the soft top.
I want the hard top because I live in Wisconsin and our winters are brutal. The soft top because of cost and Wisconsin’s summers are hot and I’d love to enjoy the quick up and down

It’s funny. I’ve had some time to think about stuff. I may as well go with the Badlands. Unless I can add 37s to it from the factory for under 42k. Then if that’s the case, I am doing that. Otherwise, badlands for sure. But if the Sasquatch is reasonably priced, and o can get the steel front and rear bumpers, skid plates and Sasquatch for Loke 38k. Yeah that’s game time right there

Buying the 4 door badlands with a few extra features. But i am keeping the 33" package with the upgraded beadlocks. Hard top, lift package, and the 10 speaker BO, its going to be my bush party wagon! lol

That's awesome that you got your reservation in right away - people who didn't are probably going to be waiting much longer. I got caught up in watching online Bronco reveal streams that night and then hemmed and hawed over all of the trims and options and still haven't decided what I want to do. lol
I would also like to see the 5.0 Coyote with a manual option. I’ve heard that Ford has future plans to produce more power for the bronco, not necessarily V8 power but a man can dream. Although the V-6 needs the manual option, I absolutely will not buy a V-6 anything that’s just me, so when and if Ford ever decides to put the coyote in The bronco like it belongs then I may go buy one.
Great video. I’ve already reserved. I decided to go the 4-door base route and just build on what I want. I have so many questions and I REALLY want to see what that base interior looks like!
That is awesome! I think the thing that makes me the most happy is that Ford is offering the Base model. Granted, it's still not cheap, but it's much closer to the Bronco's roots. I like that it offers the basics without any frills that some people might not want or need. And, as you said, it allows people to customize later on. The aftermarket parts and accessories for these things should be fantastic.
I reserved a four door. I basically want what comes standard on the Wildtrak....hardtop, 6 cyl, auto, Mid Package.......w/o Sasquatch package. So Badlands or Outerbanks with all the addons.
That should be a very nice setup and honestly should make it much better for daily driving than w/the sasquatch package. Definitely come back and let us know what your impressions are after you get it!

The 2 doors can't be stored inside the vehicle? What were they thinking, esp since the 4 door can! Btw, why do ppl like to remove the doors, for better vision when offroading?
I'd bet that you could fit a door in the back seat and maybe another one in the cargo area, but I don't know for sure. Unfortunately, both doors just won't fit in the cargo area. I think most people remove them for aesthetics and perhaps better airflow - similar to the reasons to take the top off. There might be some practical uses if you're jumping in and out of it frequently while off-roading though. I will say that riding in a Jeep with the top and doors off is a lot of fun. It's a bit hard to describe - just being "free"
@@ThisGuyTalks Hmm, I dunno how safe that would be in the backseat, are you saying they can't physically both fit in the cargo area? Not a dealbreaker, but a bit of a shame. I kinda get it as I have a convertible. However, never experienced driving w/o doors, I'd feel too exposed lol.
@@spendingtimetogether8428 I think the issue is that the 2-door model uses longer doors than the 4-door model so they are just too wide to store in the cargo area. However, the rear seats do fold down (at least partially), so you might be able to turn the doors the other direction and stack them. But, as you mentioned, you'd need to make sure you could anchor them down in a safe manner.
@@jeepdogjl8687 Yeah, a couple of other commenters mentioned that as well. I was not aware of that when I made the video. That seems like a real oversight by Ford. I'd have to imagine they'll have one by the launch date. If not, I'm sure the aftermarket will have one ready to go (hopefully, anyway).
I reserved a 2 door black diamond manual. Excited about it!! I would like the Sasquatch package but I realize I would need to ditch the manual for it, not sure I would because how many broncos out there would be manual?? Plus it is a good anti theft device ;)
Lol. That is true about an anti-theft device. The manual transmission is quickly becoming a thing of the past. I even saw Honda announced recently that the Accord won't be offered in a manual anymore. A black 2-door black diamond should look really tough - with or without the sasquatch package. On the bright side, you still have some time to make up your mind between now and production. Congrats on your new Bronco!

Im so glad my job gives us Ford X Plan as a benefit. I will definitely be taking advantage of it when I get my Black Diamond or Badlands Bronco. I’d like to go 4 door Badlands + hardtop, with 2.7 engine and mid package/high package/lux depending on cost. Or black diamond with sasquatch and mid package. I also want those awesome see through looking doors on the unveiling of the 2 door bronco, but i have heard that will only be available on 2 door models
Do you work for Ford? I think you've narrowed it down to some great choices. It will be nice to know how much everything will cost so everyone can make their final decisions. I've only seen those doors on the 2-door as well, so maybe that's true. I've read that the 2-door model uses longer doors so perhaps only offering them on that one is for that reason. I wonder if some of the door's internals on the 4-door prevented them from doing it.
This Guy Talks i do NOT work for Ford lol I work at a grocery store well known in Texas, but i looked over discounts through the company and noticed employees get X Plan pricing which is neat. Hopefully the 4 door has its own version of those see through doors though. Im also really hoping the white top/white accents seen on the cactus grey can be added as an option for all colors and trims.
@@TheMoistDonuts That's awesome that your employer has x-plan pricing. Even if Ford doesn't offer those see-through doors for the 4-door model, I bet some company makes them to sell as an aftermarket accessory. I agree that the white top is really cool - it reminds me of the classic Broncos.

I reserved one. I wanted a base in orange....... nope. I already have a couple of black cars, also one in silver, one in gray and one in white. I wanted something kinda flashy this time. I wanted the Sasquatch package with a stick.....nope. I want the top to be body color..........maybe? I joined MCA for the X plan. I should have joined a long ago as I have a 93 and a 96 Mustang Cobra. One dealer said he would give me a deal if I trade in the 93.....not gonna happen.
I'm usually pretty reserved in my color choices but I think some of the brighter colors look really good on the new Bronco. I still can't decided which color top would look the best - body-colored or black. I do think white would look good on some of the colors as well and it would give it more of a retro look. Smart move getting the MCA membership since it's only $25, especially if you already have a couple. Definitely don't get rid of those Cobras! I took a peek at your channel and saw the FFRs in the video you have. Are those yours? Those are sweet!
I'm very excited for the release , but knowing History when it comes to car manufacturers ... Is to never buy the first Gen of ANYTHING ... BUT hopefully Ford won't disappoint us and the Bronco will come out Stout with no issues. To play it safe though I'm just going to wait patiently till the following year to get one 🤷🏽♂️
I can understand that sentiment. Luckily, Ford has been using the powertrains (with the exception of the 7-speed, iirc) in other vehicles so hopefully at least those should be solid. I would assume a lot of the other components will be shared with some of their other vehicles as well. It's still probably wise to wait and see though. You'll probably have better negotiating power in the second or third year as well.
Kinda wished that they offered a Short wheel based F series Bronco like the 2nd-5th gen models were Ether way still looks great who knows maybe we will get one in the future.
I've definitely seen some people stating the same thing. I've always preferred the smaller Bronco, but I know a number of people liked the 2nd-5th gens. Surprisingly, this new one isn't all that much smaller than those generations when looking at the raw dimensions. It will be cool when someone inevitably lines up all of the generations together and takes some photos to see the differences side by side.
Everyone upset about the transmission options and lack of a V8 option or the independent front suspension clearly don't understand how mass-production for a wide audience works. Ford can't build rigs for serious off-roaders because they represent a small segment of the total audience, and it's a segment that's highly likely to customize anyway. Selling 200,000/yr (Ford's forecast) units means that 198,000 of them will rarely - if ever - leave the pavement.
Yeah, I couldn't possibly agree more. There are very few companies who can turn a profit on low volume, special-purpose automobiles - and those vehicles all cost many, many times what this Bronco does. I'm sure Ford will roll out some other options in the future once they see how sales follow-through goes but, for now, I think they made nearly all of the decisions that I would have.
No one is talking about the standard rag top option. The rag top isn’t even portrayed in any of Ford promotional videos. Hmmm! Do you think it’s hideous and they don’t want to kill the hype of the vehicle?
My guess is that it probably just doesn't look quite as good as the hard top or with the top completely removed. Either that or Ford just wants to sell everyone the hard top because it's more expensive. lol

@@ThisGuyTalks I have not seen the price list yet but hoping the Sasquatch package is a cheaper option for the BadLands package since the BadLands package already has front & rear lockers. If I do not get the Sasquatch package, then I will get the 4 recliner motor and manual transmission
That's a good point about the package potentially being cheaper on some of the upper-end trims. Hopefully Ford will have some of the pricing info out sooner rather than later.
You should make a video comparing the Bronco to the Jeep Wrangler...not that I'd ever pick the Jeep over the Bronco. It would be interesting to see similarities and differences.

That's going to a good looking vehicle. I can't wait to see a 2-door in white. I think the Black Diamond package is right in the sweet spot for features and price. Definitely report back on how you like it as soon as you get it!
Thank you very much! I do agree the price gap between the 2 and 4-door is rather steep. My guess is that was intentional because Ford wanted a low starting price and knew most consumers would opt for the 4-door no matter what.

I have one reserved, but I’ve about decided I’m going to wait until their third or fourth model year after some of the bugs are worked out & there’s a 5.0 Coyote option to get one. I think Ford will live to regret offering only the eco boost engine options. Show me one with 250,000 miles on it without having had any major repairs and I’ll change my mind.

@@bodybender7628 That sounds like a nice setup. I'm sure it gives some nice low-end torque. One of the first manual transmission vehicles that I ever drove was a '66 Chevy C10 with a straight 6 and a 3 on the tree. As a teenager, I had a lot of fun learning to drive that thing.

I agree. I personally would go with an automatic because it fits my use case better than the manual, but I'm sure plenty of other people would like the manual.
I am not convinced the lack of a front solid axle is going to be a downfall. Since it goes above and beyond my TRD 4Runner with front locker options, it should be fine. I have KDSS which is an approximation to a D/C sway bar (which these Broncos do like Jeeps)and my articulation is more than adequate for most terrain. And let's face it, shy of rolling over on to the top, there are going to always be at least 1 front wheel making contact with the ground. My KDSS and extra TRD Off Road goodies has never left my tires searching for traction. Thus, Ford has thought about all of these things and the stats impress me more than any Jeep. The day will come when the out of the box Rubicon will get matched up with the out of the box Badlands and we will see what is what. Until then, it's all just speculation on how good or bad it might be. ;)
Yep, I agree with all of that. There are number of other off-road vehicles that have used IFS for years with great success. Like you mentioned the Toyota 4Runner and, I believe, the Land Cruiser, as well. Plus, I think it makes sense for most people who aren't going to be hardcore off-roading these all of the time. Certainly, for my use case I would prefer the independent front suspension over a solid front axle. I can't wait for the Rubicon vs Bronco videos!
A lot has changed this video went up. Ford did a great job with the design, but seem to struggling every step of the way since. Three months later and still no build & price. Can't place orders until December. Deliveries not likely to begin before June 2021, which means many customers will be waiting well into 2022 for their Bronco.
I hear the ride noise is not near as loud as jeep it will be interesting to see. I also believe Bronco will be more appealing as a daily driver with more ride comfort which would be great on long trips and feeling much safer than a jeep when taking your family with you, I bet bronco beats them in the safety department as well and will be a more dependable ride. I believe most of what we don't like can be taken care of with after market parts if your wallet allows it. Imagine what SEMA will show off when they get their hands on them ! I think I just sold myself on buying a 4 door badlands bronco .

Unfortunately, that's the case with a lot of new and upcoming models from various manufacturers. I think they're all just making their best projections for production timelines and deliveries at this point. Crazy times

Yeah, the info on Ford's site is a bit disjointed. I've had a hard time making sense of everything myself. Unfortunately, I've heard that a lot of the salesman only know about as much as the general public at this point. I'm sure that will change in the near future - hopefully, anyway.

I think the Bronco looks pretty good but I actually wheel my Jeep and for the type of wheeling I do the Ford wouldn't be up to the challenge. I don't fault anyone for wanting it and I won't fault those that buys it. The Bronco will serve a lot of people just fine, from the looks of there video I'm sure it will be awesome on light to moderate trails and if that's your thing then go for it
@@ThisGuyTalks the IFS is my main concern I noticed in there video when they disconnect the swaybar on a very small obstacle the drivers front tire didnt touch the ground turning it into a 3 wheeler. The lack of suspension travel the IFS provides isn't going to work for me. I really like keeping all 4 on the ground. Also in the video I noticed it was doing great on well maintained dirt roads but when it got a little rough it started bucking like a ... wait for it ... Bronco lol to be fair my Jeep isn't stock and eats up those types of trails with little to no effort whether I'm slow bailing or balls to the walls. I'm not familiar with the turbo charged engines ford uses so no comment on that. I hope ford has built it to be durable because people are nuts and will hammer on it. I don't like that the swaybar reconnects on its own and I'm not a fan of all that computer nonsense. Putting the doors in the back out a good idea as long as you don't have anything else back there like a cooler or camping gear etc. Last thing would be those side mirrors I would rip those off on a tree the first tight trail I hit

I think I saw that the Bronco is one of only three vehicles offered with an IFS and a front locker - the other being the Colorado ZR2 and the Mercedes G-Wagon. From what I've read, it seems like the Bronco might be suited for a bit higher speed type of off road pursuits with part of the reason being the IFS. I think you make some valid points and it just goes to show that there's no single perfect vehicle for everyone. Thanks again!
@@toddhart2034 I wasn't trying to be arrogant. Based on the videos ford released the IFS doesn't perform as well as they say it does. Rewatch the video of the swaybar disconnect, on a light to moderate trail the drivers front tire didn't touch the ground turning it into a 3 wheeler. I don't think Ford built it inferior to Jeep just not as capable of road. I base this off an interview from Jalopnik with Jamie Groves who is the vehicle engineering manager for Bronco stated that they will be better than anything on the market except for Wrangler. He further stated that the IFS will be plenty durable but its hard to compete with a big steel pipe " solid axle " so I just based my opinion on what I saw and what Ford said and not to be arrogant. Go read it for yourself. And if you're into the Bronco buy it ill still go wheeling with you
Absolutely love the new Bronco so far and just like so many people feel, I can't wait to see it in person and drive it. My only concern which is already happening is the B.S. dealership markups! It's a scumbag move by the dealers. I know this is business but greed will definitely turn people off especially me and I have no problem taking my business elsewhere! These are tuff economic times for a lot of people and these dealers will make more than enough money selling the Bronco at the MSRP. I wish Ford motor co. would step in and not allow this. Anyway just my opinion.
I'm with you, Matthew. I can't wait to take one of these for a spin. They seem like they're going to be an amazing vehicle. I agree about the dealerships - it's a shady move. I've seen it happen at local dealerships with other new models of different brands as well. I don't know the full extent of the law, but my guess is that, at least in certain states, Ford probably doesn't have the ability to control pricing at independently-owned dealerships. Lockers and rock sliders right out of the box are nice. I don't like the openness of the "sport cage" or whatever they call it. Needs a crossbar at least.
Definitely agree on the lockers and sliders from the factory - very cool. Are you just concerned about the structure of the cage or would you like a crossbar for utility purposes - like mounting something up there?
I think the cage would hold up, there's just nothing to protect occupants from objects entering the cage. Like if you were to end up upside down on a large rock. Pretty common offroad.

@@ThisGuyTalks I was concerned about the lack of a cross bar on the cage at first, too. Then I found out what kind of metal they built it out of. It's stronger than the cage on the jeep and super light. I can't remember what kind of metal they made it out of but, it's awesome!

@@ThisGuyTalks From the number of orders. I don't think Ford will have a problem selling the Bronco with it's currently drive train offerings. I keep reading about every vehicle should have a manual transmission, yet at the Dragstrip today. I observed most of those owning a manual transmission couldn't roll the gears of even launch their cars correctly. The noise of gears grinding or a car slowing down because they missed 3rd gear tells me the new automatic transmissions available should have been checked on the order box. Yes. it's cool shifting gears when driving around, but it's a big difference when the pressure of hitting a gear is required. I think when rock crawling in a new Bronco. The automatic takes away the pressure of selecting the correct gear. The same applies at the Dragstrip. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy driving a sports car with a manual transmission, but I know I can't select gears as fast as Ford's 10 speed automatic, new DTC in the Shelby GT500 or my 2018 Chrysler 300C Hemi automatic. Less than 13% of the new vehicles manufactured in 2020 offer a manual transmission compared to 37% in 2011. So get use to the end of the manual transmission. It's already begun.

Just reserved my Bronco this past Monday. I ordered the 2 door Badlands edition. When I get to go to work out the details and options (most likely in later December - Windsor, ON, Canada) I'm going to select cyber orange with the Lux package. The 12" LCD screen is incredible (saw it in the Lincoln Aviator). I don't want the Sasquatch pkg so I may just upgrade to a set of 18" wheels eventually.
Congrats! That should be awesome. The 2-door is my preference and it should really pop in cyber orange. I've really come around to the look of the 33" tires and they should be better for daily driving as well. That will be a really nice ride!

The Badlands+Sasquatch package would be very good for off road. You could also look at the Wildtrak which comes with the Sasquatch package but doesn't have the sway bar disconnect that the Badlands does.
I reserved a 4 door black diamond, looking to add the mid package and dual tops, and pick it up in carbonized grey. Ford is saying they will be unveiling a parts catalog with 200+ parts/accessories available for the bronco. Can’t wait to see what’s all available for it!
Verrrry nice! I love that carbonized grey color, as I mentioned in the video. I'm really excited about all of the parts and accessories from Ford as well as all of the aftermarket stuff that will be available. I know Ford stated that they had been working with a number of aftermarket parts suppliers to have accessories ready to go when the Bronco first rolls out. What an exciting time to be alive!
This Guy Talks You said it! I’m still up in the air about the Sasquatch package, I love the look and capabilities of it, However the bronco will be my everyday driver, so I’m not sure if I should just opt for putting 33”s on there instead. Any thoughts on this?
@@tylerlewis3451 The Sasquatch package looks really good and should be really capable off road, but if it were me and I was daily driving it - I'd roll the 33s. I don't think there's anything in the Sasquatch package that you couldn't have a shop install for you later on. Plus, if you buy it without Sasquatch and decide that you don't need it, you've just saved yourself some money. The 33s still look really good. There are some photos floating around online of a Sasquatch-equipped Bronco sitting next to one on 33s and they're both really good-looking vehicles.
I'm definitely going with the base model. I'm putting the Sasquatch package on it, steel bumpers and rock rails. Now, if we can get a little more lift and 37s from the factory, I'm doing that! Because that would truly make a great rig to play with in the deep snow. Also, it's the biggest tire you can get without having to purchasing a piece of equipment to get an alignment done. Here's to hoping the Sasquatch package is cheap and you get get it with a manual.
That base model setup sounds awesome! I did see some other people talking about upgrading to a 37" tire in another discussion. It sounds like there are a few people going that route as well. It will be interesting to see what the Sasquatch package costs for the various trims. I assume it will be more expensive to add to the base model than to some of the other trims because some of the features are redundant on those trims. There seems to be a large push for offering the Sasquatch package with the manual transmission. Another person linked a change.org petition for that in the comments section of this video.
I should probably start saving for a huge down payment.

I had an '85 Bronco II back in high school (a long time ago 😒). It wasn't the Eddie Bauer, but it was awesome. I really did love that thing. It's probably the vehicle that I'm still the most sentimental about. I wish I never got rid of it. I'm sure your RAM Longhorn provides waaaay more comfort than that old Eddie Bauer would have anyway. lol. The Bronco certainly would be more capable off road though.
2 door Badlands w/Sas, Cyber Orange. No soft top option for 2-door is a big miss for me. Not interested in having or storing a hard top. Nor particularly thrilled with having to purchase an aftermarket top right away.
Yeah, I had overlooked the soft top issue with the 2-door until another commenter pointed it out. That seems crazy to me. Surely, Ford will have a soft top ready to go for it by the time it rolls out. 🤞

Love the new bronco. Made a reservation and I think I will go with the Black Diamond in silver, with the Sasquatch package! Wish they had pricing for the Sasquatch. I really like the rubberized floors and marine grade vinyl that the black Diamond has and of course the other options.

Also, I wish all of the trim levels just came standard with the rubberized floors. I don't know why more trucks and SUVs offer that. It just makes so much sense for ease of cleanup.

What are your thoughts on the 4cyl turbo. Will this be a problem down the road? Is it enough engine?
Thanks for the comment! I'd say it's a highly personal choice. For being a small displacement engine, it's puts out pretty good power in stock form. That same engine is available in the Ranger as well and there are aftermarket tunes for it that bump the power up to the same range as the stock 2.7L. So that's always an option if you buy the 2.3L and decide you want to squeeze a bit more out of it. Although, it never hurts to go with the bigger engine unless you're trying to squeeze gas mileage out of it or would just like to keep the cost down.
We still don't have a ton of specifics on performance and such with the various gearing and transmission options so it wouldn't hurt to wait a bit longer until some of that info is made public. Hopefully that gives you a few things to consider.

Along with the manual option in the Sasquatch we also need the manual option in the six-cylinder. I was extremely devastated to figure out that I could only buy the manual in the four-cylinder.
For sure - the manual paired to the six-cylinder would also be really nice to have. I thought about including it, but I didn't just because I figured that's something that would have taken some extra engineering and manufacturing work whereas the Sasquatch package paired with the manual wouldn't (unless I'm overlooking something). It's possible that Ford is waiting to see how the manual sells before pairing it with the 2.7L engine. 🤞

In the Ford promo doesn't it look like the cactus gray is actually a light blue color? In the colorizer on the Ford website when you spin the truck around 360° it looks grayish green in the light and grayish blue in the shadows...
Yeah, I totally agree. I got really excited when I first saw Cactus Gray because I thought it was similar to the light blue color I was looking for. However, after looking at it on Ford's site, it appeared to be more of a green tint. I still really like that color though. I'm big on neutral tones.

4 door, Badlands with the high package in Rapid Red(if it’s not a late available color but is a up charge color), not sure about the Sasquatch package since the Badlands pretty much comes with all the features of the Sasquatch package except the high clearance fenders and 35” tire, but I’d rather put on some 35” BFG KM3’s and add the fenders as a aftermarket item.
Congrats on your new rig! That Rapid Red color should really stand out. A Badlands with the High package should be an awesome machine. I think that's a good call to skip the Sasquatch package if you know you want the BFGs and aftermarket fenders - no sense spending money twice by replacing part of the Sasquatch package later. I can't wait to see all of the aftermarket stuff that's going to be out there when this thing starts rolling out.

At 4:12 - You mention the doors are 50 lbs a piece. I assume you are referring to the 2 door weight. Do you know what the weight will be for each door on the 4 door?
At 6:10 - Probably the most important thing a consumer can do for this new release of the Bronco.
I was referencing the weights for the 4-door, actually. I just kinda averaged the weights out to speed things along. The article I read said that the front doors should be ~54 lbs. and the rear doors would be ~43 lbs.
It's probably worth mentioning that the doors on the 2-door model will likely weigh more since they are longer than those on the 4-door to accommodate access to the back seat
The Sasquatch thing is just annoying. There's no reason that they can't offer that package with the manual transmission. I can at least understand that offering the 2.7 liter engine with the manual would have required some engineering/design/testing work so I'm willing to give Ford a pass on that (although that's a bummer). However, there's nothing that I can think of that would need to be done to offer Sasquatch with the manual

That is awesome! I think the hard top is the way to go, imo. A soft top would be nice to use as well, but I'd go hard top if I was only choosing one or the other.

@@quantumfx2677 Hopefully Matthew will chime in, but the guys that I know with Jeeps tend to have both a hard top and a soft top. They usually use the soft top or just leave the top off during the warmer months. They throw the hard top on during the colder months or if the weather is bad or they're going on a road trip or something.
The soft tops are easy to install and remove but also create a lot of wind noise and aren't great for temperature control. They also don't last nearly as long as a hard top. The hard tops take at least a couple people to install and remove but they also eliminate the issues that I mentioned with the soft top.
I want the hard top because I live in Wisconsin and our winters are brutal. The soft top because of cost and Wisconsin’s summers are hot and I’d love to enjoy the quick up and down

It’s funny. I’ve had some time to think about stuff. I may as well go with the Badlands. Unless I can add 37s to it from the factory for under 42k. Then if that’s the case, I am doing that. Otherwise, badlands for sure. But if the Sasquatch is reasonably priced, and o can get the steel front and rear bumpers, skid plates and Sasquatch for Loke 38k. Yeah that’s game time right there

That's awesome that you got your reservation in right away - people who didn't are probably going to be waiting much longer. I got caught up in watching online Bronco reveal streams that night and then hemmed and hawed over all of the trims and options and still haven't decided what I want to do. lol
I would also like to see the 5.0 Coyote with a manual option. I’ve heard that Ford has future plans to produce more power for the bronco, not necessarily V8 power but a man can dream. Although the V-6 needs the manual option, I absolutely will not buy a V-6 anything that’s just me, so when and if Ford ever decides to put the coyote in The bronco like it belongs then I may go buy one.
5.0 would be pretty sweet. I'm not going to hold my breath, but maybe Ford will eventually roll it out

That is awesome! I think the thing that makes me the most happy is that Ford is offering the Base model. Granted, it's still not cheap, but it's much closer to the Bronco's roots. I like that it offers the basics without any frills that some people might not want or need. And, as you said, it allows people to customize later on. The aftermarket parts and accessories for these things should be fantastic.
I reserved a four door. I basically want what comes standard on the Wildtrak....hardtop, 6 cyl, auto, Mid Package.......w/o Sasquatch package. So Badlands or Outerbanks with all the addons.
That should be a very nice setup and honestly should make it much better for daily driving than w/the sasquatch package. Definitely come back and let us know what your impressions are after you get it!

The 2 doors can't be stored inside the vehicle? What were they thinking, esp since the 4 door can! Btw, why do ppl like to remove the doors, for better vision when offroading?
I'd bet that you could fit a door in the back seat and maybe another one in the cargo area, but I don't know for sure. Unfortunately, both doors just won't fit in the cargo area.
I think most people remove them for aesthetics and perhaps better airflow - similar to the reasons to take the top off. There might be some practical uses if you're jumping in and out of it frequently while off-roading though. I will say that riding in a Jeep with the top and doors off is a lot of fun. It's a bit hard to describe - just being "free"

I kinda get it as I have a convertible. However, never experienced driving w/o doors, I'd feel too exposed lol.
@@spendingtimetogether8428 I think the issue is that the 2-door model uses longer doors than the 4-door model so they are just too wide to store in the cargo area. However, the rear seats do fold down (at least partially), so you might be able to turn the doors the other direction and stack them. But, as you mentioned, you'd need to make sure you could anchor them down in a safe manner.
You also can't get a soft top on a 2dr.
@@jeepdogjl8687 Yeah, a couple of other commenters mentioned that as well. I was not aware of that when I made the video. That seems like a real oversight by Ford. I'd have to imagine they'll have one by the launch date. If not, I'm sure the aftermarket will have one ready to go (hopefully, anyway).
4 door Wildtrack in Area 51 color. Doubt that I’ll find one in 2021. May have to wait till 2022 models come out....
Yeah, it sounds like the wait just keeps getting longer with all of the demand. It never hurts to wait until year 2 or 3 of a production model anyway.
I reserved a 2 door black diamond manual. Excited about it!! I would like the Sasquatch package but I realize I would need to ditch the manual for it, not sure I would because how many broncos out there would be manual?? Plus it is a good anti theft device ;)
Lol. That is true about an anti-theft device. The manual transmission is quickly becoming a thing of the past. I even saw Honda announced recently that the Accord won't be offered in a manual anymore.
A black 2-door black diamond should look really tough - with or without the sasquatch package. On the bright side, you still have some time to make up your mind between now and production. Congrats on your new Bronco!
They are offering it in velocity blue, the light blue you were talking about, but it will be delayed a bit.

Im so glad my job gives us Ford X Plan as a benefit. I will definitely be taking advantage of it when I get my Black Diamond or Badlands Bronco. I’d like to go 4 door Badlands + hardtop, with 2.7 engine and mid package/high package/lux depending on cost. Or black diamond with sasquatch and mid package. I also want those awesome see through looking doors on the unveiling of the 2 door bronco, but i have heard that will only be available on 2 door models
Do you work for Ford? I think you've narrowed it down to some great choices. It will be nice to know how much everything will cost so everyone can make their final decisions. I've only seen those doors on the 2-door as well, so maybe that's true. I've read that the 2-door model uses longer doors so perhaps only offering them on that one is for that reason. I wonder if some of the door's internals on the 4-door prevented them from doing it.
This Guy Talks i do NOT work for Ford lol I work at a grocery store well known in Texas, but i looked over discounts through the company and noticed employees get X Plan pricing which is neat. Hopefully the 4 door has its own version of those see through doors though. Im also really hoping the white top/white accents seen on the cactus grey can be added as an option for all colors and trims.

I reserved one. I wanted a base in orange....... nope. I already have a couple of black cars, also one in silver, one in gray and one in white. I wanted something kinda flashy this time. I wanted the Sasquatch package with a stick.....nope. I want the top to be body color..........maybe? I joined MCA for the X plan. I should have joined a long ago as I have a 93 and a 96 Mustang Cobra. One dealer said he would give me a deal if I trade in the 93.....not gonna happen.
I'm usually pretty reserved in my color choices but I think some of the brighter colors look really good on the new Bronco. I still can't decided which color top would look the best - body-colored or black. I do think white would look good on some of the colors as well and it would give it more of a retro look. Smart move getting the MCA membership since it's only $25, especially if you already have a couple. Definitely don't get rid of those Cobras!

I'm very excited for the release , but knowing History when it comes to car manufacturers ... Is to never buy the first Gen of ANYTHING ... BUT hopefully Ford won't disappoint us and the Bronco will come out Stout with no issues. To play it safe though I'm just going to wait patiently till the following year to get one 🤷🏽♂️
I can understand that sentiment. Luckily, Ford has been using the powertrains (with the exception of the 7-speed, iirc) in other vehicles so hopefully at least those should be solid. I would assume a lot of the other components will be shared with some of their other vehicles as well. It's still probably wise to wait and see though. You'll probably have better negotiating power in the second or third year as well.

Kinda wished that they offered a Short wheel based F series Bronco like the 2nd-5th gen models were Ether way still looks great who knows maybe we will get one in the future.
I've definitely seen some people stating the same thing. I've always preferred the smaller Bronco, but I know a number of people liked the 2nd-5th gens. Surprisingly, this new one isn't all that much smaller than those generations when looking at the raw dimensions. It will be cool when someone inevitably lines up all of the generations together and takes some photos to see the differences side by side.
Everyone upset about the transmission options and lack of a V8 option or the independent front suspension clearly don't understand how mass-production for a wide audience works. Ford can't build rigs for serious off-roaders because they represent a small segment of the total audience, and it's a segment that's highly likely to customize anyway. Selling 200,000/yr (Ford's forecast) units means that 198,000 of them will rarely - if ever - leave the pavement.
Yeah, I couldn't possibly agree more. There are very few companies who can turn a profit on low volume, special-purpose automobiles - and those vehicles all cost many, many times what this Bronco does. I'm sure Ford will roll out some other options in the future once they see how sales follow-through goes but, for now, I think they made nearly all of the decisions that I would have.
If OJ buying one, I'm buying 1.

My guess is that it probably just doesn't look quite as good as the hard top or with the top completely removed. Either that or Ford just wants to sell everyone the hard top because it's more expensive. lol

That's a good point about the package potentially being cheaper on some of the upper-end trims. Hopefully Ford will have some of the pricing info out sooner rather than later.
You should make a video comparing the Bronco to the Jeep Wrangler...not that I'd ever pick the Jeep over the Bronco. It would be interesting to see similarities and differences.

I have one reserved, but I’ve about decided I’m going to wait until their third or fourth model year after some of the bugs are worked out & there’s a 5.0 Coyote option to get one. I think Ford will live to regret offering only the eco boost engine options. Show me one with 250,000 miles on it without having had any major repairs and I’ll change my mind.

@@bodybender7628 That sounds like a nice setup. I'm sure it gives some nice low-end torque. One of the first manual transmission vehicles that I ever drove was a '66 Chevy C10 with a straight 6 and a 3 on the tree. As a teenager, I had a lot of fun learning to drive that thing.
Ill be waiting for the base 4-door with optional Sasquatch. If not, I'll resort to the rubicon unlimited.

I am not convinced the lack of a front solid axle is going to be a downfall. Since it goes above and beyond my TRD 4Runner with front locker options, it should be fine. I have KDSS which is an approximation to a D/C sway bar (which these Broncos do like Jeeps)and my articulation is more than adequate for most terrain. And let's face it, shy of rolling over on to the top, there are going to always be at least 1 front wheel making contact with the ground. My KDSS and extra TRD Off Road goodies has never left my tires searching for traction. Thus, Ford has thought about all of these things and the stats impress me more than any Jeep. The day will come when the out of the box Rubicon will get matched up with the out of the box Badlands and we will see what is what. Until then, it's all just speculation on how good or bad it might be. ;)
Yep, I agree with all of that. There are number of other off-road vehicles that have used IFS for years with great success. Like you mentioned the Toyota 4Runner and, I believe, the Land Cruiser, as well. Plus, I think it makes sense for most people who aren't going to be hardcore off-roading these all of the time. Certainly, for my use case I would prefer the independent front suspension over a solid front axle. I can't wait for the Rubicon vs Bronco videos!

A lot has changed this video went up. Ford did a great job with the design, but seem to struggling every step of the way since. Three months later and still no build & price. Can't place orders until December. Deliveries not likely to begin before June 2021, which means many customers will be waiting well into 2022 for their Bronco.

I hear the ride noise is not near as loud as jeep it will be interesting to see. I also believe Bronco will be more appealing as a daily driver with more ride comfort which would be great on long trips and feeling much safer than a jeep when taking your family with you, I bet bronco beats them in the safety department as well and will be a more dependable ride. I believe most of what we don't like can be taken care of with after market parts if your wallet allows it. Imagine what SEMA will show off when they get their hands on them ! I think I just sold myself on buying a 4 door badlands bronco .

Unfortunately, that's the case with a lot of new and upcoming models from various manufacturers. I think they're all just making their best projections for production timelines and deliveries at this point. Crazy times
Also A little confused by the trims hard to distinguish between them for instance don't like wheels on outer banks so can I change that hopefully salesman can help.
Yeah, the info on Ford's site is a bit disjointed. I've had a hard time making sense of everything myself. Unfortunately, I've heard that a lot of the salesman only know about as much as the general public at this point. I'm sure that will change in the near future - hopefully, anyway.

I think the Bronco looks pretty good but I actually wheel my Jeep and for the type of wheeling I do the Ford wouldn't be up to the challenge. I don't fault anyone for wanting it and I won't fault those that buys it. The Bronco will serve a lot of people just fine, from the looks of there video I'm sure it will be awesome on light to moderate trails and if that's your thing then go for it

@@ThisGuyTalks the IFS is my main concern I noticed in there video when they disconnect the swaybar on a very small obstacle the drivers front tire didnt touch the ground turning it into a 3 wheeler. The lack of suspension travel the IFS provides isn't going to work for me. I really like keeping all 4 on the ground. Also in the video I noticed it was doing great on well maintained dirt roads but when it got a little rough it started bucking like a ... wait for it ... Bronco lol to be fair my Jeep isn't stock and eats up those types of trails with little to no effort whether I'm slow bailing or balls to the walls. I'm not familiar with the turbo charged engines ford uses so no comment on that. I hope ford has built it to be durable because people are nuts and will hammer on it. I don't like that the swaybar reconnects on its own and I'm not a fan of all that computer nonsense. Putting the doors in the back out a good idea as long as you don't have anything else back there like a cooler or camping gear etc. Last thing would be those side mirrors I would rip those off on a tree the first tight trail I hit
@@teddonley9594 I appreciate the detailed reply. I was wondering if the IFS was one of your concerns. I think I saw that the Bronco is one of only three vehicles offered with an IFS and a front locker - the other being the Colorado ZR2 and the Mercedes G-Wagon. From what I've read, it seems like the Bronco might be suited for a bit higher speed type of off road pursuits with part of the reason being the IFS. I think you make some valid points and it just goes to show that there's no single perfect vehicle for everyone. Thanks again!
@@toddhart2034 I wasn't trying to be arrogant. Based on the videos ford released the IFS doesn't perform as well as they say it does. Rewatch the video of the swaybar disconnect, on a light to moderate trail the drivers front tire didn't touch the ground turning it into a 3 wheeler. I don't think Ford built it inferior to Jeep just not as capable of road. I base this off an interview from Jalopnik with Jamie Groves who is the vehicle engineering manager for Bronco stated that they will be better than anything on the market except for Wrangler. He further stated that the IFS will be plenty durable but its hard to compete with a big steel pipe " solid axle " so I just based my opinion on what I saw and what Ford said and not to be arrogant. Go read it for yourself. And if you're into the Bronco buy it ill still go wheeling with you

The only thin I dont like about the new bronco it that it is a 4 door BUT what can I say I LOVE FORD BRONCOS
Absolutely love the new Bronco so far and just like so many people feel, I can't wait to see it in person and drive it. My only concern which is already happening is the B.S. dealership markups! It's a scumbag move by the dealers. I know this is business but greed will definitely turn people off especially me and I have no problem taking my business elsewhere! These are tuff economic times for a lot of people and these dealers will make more than enough money selling the Bronco at the MSRP. I wish Ford motor co. would step in and not allow this. Anyway just my opinion.

I agree about the dealerships - it's a shady move. I've seen it happen at local dealerships with other new models of different brands as well. I don't know the full extent of the law, but my guess is that, at least in certain states, Ford probably doesn't have the ability to control pricing at independently-owned dealerships. I'd agree with voting with your dollar and going elsewhere if your local dealership is marking them up.
