Very good as I am recovering from a full knee replacement after 10 weeks and still very swollen and stiff and sore even when I do my physio excercises these massages are good and I will try them. them.

Thank you for these great options. One month post knee replacement surgery. All going great, but was looking for ways to reduce swelling and pain through massage that I can do myself. My therapist massages, I just want to do at home too. Haven’t tried the ball yet, but the dowel and hand suggestions really helped!

Heat or ice when done?
Really, whichever feels better... most people will use heat again to help relax muscles, promote blood flow and pain relief...but ice is okay too if you prefer.

I’m 1/2 way into video and haven’t heard you say how long after op you start doing this? Did I miss it?
There is no set time after surgery. Most people are able to start doing these activities within a few days after surgery. Often you may have to start at a lower intensity (not push as hard) and work into it as your body tolerates.
Is there any danger starting a few days after surgery due to risk of blood clots? Also how early do you believe one can use moist chest? I am day 4 and having terrible spasms in my thigh.
