QUICK ways to locate GOLD in Lake Havasu AZ

This was just to test the area to see if I want to go back . And Yes I do! this was a fun little afternoon trip and in a few weeks I'll be back to the same spot with help from a friend. and we shall find more.

Havasu has some really nice gold! It’s my rookie year here and I’ve found some incredible stuff just learning the land and the geology. A 22 gram nuggy being the biggest piece, yet. The same day I pulled a 10.4 gram nuggy and that’s my best day, at over an ounce. In total I’ve found over 3 ounces this year with my Minelab Monster 1000. Far exceeding my somewhat realistic hopes I started with. Now I’m using some of the gold to step up to the GPX 6000, which should be here this week. I can’t wait!

I think this area is near some property that we bought in Yucca. Sort of between Yucca and Havasu City? I remember riding quads out there and running into places where miners dug a hole in the trails.

I was in a wash around Havasu a couple of years ago and found 1.2 oz on a high bench and a whole lot of lead.

Why the Jet dry ?

It's a surfactant, means it breaks the surface tension of water so ultra fine gold will sink and not float . Dish soap such as Dawn will also work, but the suds can be a bit of a problem. Liquid Jet dry works best, only takes a few drops too.
