My youngest brother, who's in the custody of the correctional facility of Nevada, used to have the old small version. Every time I visited him, I would drop it in the toilet. ' Torpedo away!' Was the battle cry. Very fartworthy ❤😂
All the awesome, obvious stuff aside, one thing I love about this figure is that his gun has iron sights.
Sure, battery powered sights are rated for waterproof but I'm not sure if they're rated for the depths that Torpedo might be at. It's a cool attention to detail (and my head cannon) that he doesn't use an optic on his rifle because it could fail or make it harder for target acquisition
Picked mine up at Target a few months ago when I got into the Classified line. Definitely a good figure and one I never had, but really wanted, as a kid. I think it’s great Hasbro gave him a face sculpt for the first time and based his likeness on Steve Leialoha. Steve Leialoha was an inker back in the day at Marvel comics and worked with Larry Hama on the famous “silent issue” of GI Joe. So Hama named Torpedo after him and now 40 years later we have a figure that reflects that inspiration.

I just got this figure today. I don't really collect action figures, but I'm a SCUBA diver , and that's the reason I bought it. But now I'm looking to get more.
Kudos to the designers at hasbro for molding his face a little scrunched just like how a real wetsuit hood would do

I grabbed Torpedo and Zarana tonight for my birthday (in August), as they definitely both fall under the "had the OG as a kid in the '80s." I can't believe how AMAZING Torpedo turned out! I had to snag him before he went out-of-stock again. I'll be getting Copperhead and the Eel when they come out, too.

Mansplaining alert. Scuba divers rely on their legs to move through the water since paddling won’t provide nearly enough propulsion, plus the hands need to be freed for buoyancy control, check instruments, gauges, equipment handling etc

Thank you for the video well done it’s nice to see your excitement. I’m a big G.I. Joe fan former military pilot when I was a child I had to the big G.I. Joe’s with the kung fu grip and I had a G.I. Joe and it came with a shark and a orange wetsuit that you actually put on Like a rubber and he had another water vehicle that he held onto it. Took a battery pushed him around the bathtub. After my bath, I will take the G.I. Joe out take the rubber suit off him, and he was still dry even his hair because he had Leica wet suit headpiece that covered his head.

As good as this figure is, the backpack leaves a whole lot to be desired now that I have it in hand. Where are the torpedoes? No turbines to propel him through the water or anything. I'm very attached to the character but the team stopped a little short. This was the figure that made me a true fan of the toy line
so I just got this figure. I thought the same thing. LOL, I want to get in the bath and play with him. Of course, I don't know if the Fortnite boat floats.
Torpedo looks amazing. But for the price point it should have come with swimming hands.

Amazing figure but the backpack sucks. Snowjob is the coolest.
I’m disappointed in the art box. I’d prefer to see the figure without opening the box. I understand they are trying to reduce the use of plastics.
Plastic window boxes are coming back though so will be all good
