Domingo is a vocal miracle who started his career as a teen in Mexico City as a baritone, so history repeats itself, and he sounds wonderful as tenore and as baritone. so lovely. so versatile ! WOW ! Bravo, Placido !
The first time I really heard and listened to this duet, I realized what it was all about. Bizet's magnificent score and the rising tenor voices, cut through all the burdensome weight of time and of the pretense of musical hype, to touch the real meaning of the struggle and rewards of life that can be shown through art. This is why there is a form of music known as grand opera, and why I love it. Yes, the performance was sublime, but so are so many we might listen to. Deny yourself nothing, simply enjoy!

Beyond beautiful. For ever.
SO BEAUTIFUL. LOVE AND PEACE. Vincent Edwards
Domingo is a vocal miracle who started his career as a teen in Mexico City as a baritone, so history repeats itself, and he sounds wonderful as tenore and as baritone. so lovely. so versatile ! WOW ! Bravo, Placido !
baritone?? I don't think so,by any stretch of the imagination
Nah, he doesn't NASAL KING!!!
Das Miracle ist, Domingo kann nicht aufhören 😂
@@pauldeanify Domingo is NOT a baritone and I have no idea how he gets away with it.
Anna Elis het is je gelukt, ik ben totaal onder de indruk. Bedankt
This piece always gives me goosebumps.
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed and sung
the first part is right, but the singers are terrible, neither a baritone nor atenor for opera : listen th-cam.com/video/p2MwnHpLV48/w-d-xo.html
Thank you, music truly lives
A hidden gem, so glad I found this, thankyou !!
Such a beautiful feeling when I listen to these two incredible voices. Hope Andrea & Placido have both shared the true love and passion they sing about in their own lives. Thank you TH-cam for bringing such joy to all.
For my late closest friend, John, who loved this and introduced me to it
Thank you so much for sharing. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones. “X” parsons
You are not alone

Brilliant duet from two fantastic artists xx
loved this since i was a kid
Two exceptional and wonderful voices that that blend to each other and complement each other very well, producing this very pleasant to the ear, effect....one of the best interpretations ever heard, perhaps coming to the legendary one of Robert Merrill and Jussi Bjorling of some decades ago!
M and B is the best recording I've heard so far then Kaufmann and the darling Dimitri Hvorostovsky. But, it must be heard live really, and at the same ages, otherwise it is too unfair, right. I love this duet...Beautiful though.

You must be joking - or deaf - it comes nowhere near the Bjorling/Merrill performance.
@@edwardkerrigan5356 While I totally agree with on the comparison to JB and RM, why add the salty wording? But again, this version is nice but nowhere near the perfection of the mentioned masters.
@@peterandersson6510 Nice? What's nice about it - Bocelli doesn't sound nice, to my ears, anyway. Still it's all a matter of personal preference.
Fantastic. Thank you for posting.
Beautiful duet!
Wonderful. Thank you both 🎉
this is a full bodied aria of incredible power.
You're kidding?
Wow! Domingo singing baritone is superb! And of course Bocelli’s tenor is always wonderful!
Domingo is a Fantastic tenor !!! Totally misses the point of the aria, nice but 2 Tenors competing
@@andrewkoltavary1183 Domingo was a good tenor - as a baritone he is very poor.
Lovely duets Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this! A wonderful gift to hear on this Christmas morn.
Enjoy! :)

Hayer once de Junio ,en plena Pandemia ,se jugó la final de Italia ,y Bocelli canto Nesunn y tuvo mucho éxito como no podía ser de otra manera ...un abrazo desde Santander España te queremos ...
The critics are the ones who can't sing a single note. Just enjoy the moment and the gifts Placido and Andrea are sharing with us with love.
Being a critic must be the easiest job. You go to a cafe, order your soy latte frappe cappuccino, pull out your computer and write glowing reviews for those who paid you to and dump scurrilous drivel on those who didn't.
@@Tempusverum And what do you do that is so much superior?
What absolute rubbish - you don't need to be a trained singer - although I actually am - to tell a good voice from a poor one, and Bocellis voice is poor.
@@edwardkerrigan5356 I look forward to hearing you sing.
@@eugenefromaustralia4644 Too late, I'm afraid - I am ancient now.
I always love to hear songs from these opera singers. Thanks for posting. Bravo from Indonesia
