It went crazy in there. I never heard a crowd so loud for a small opera performance. The cameras were flashing everywhere. This was better than any sporting event this century. I cried out loud after I heard it the first time yesterday. I should turn in my fan cards. I'm suppose to be a Celine and Luciano Pavoritti fan. But I love Celine more and appreciate the art of Music, Pavoritti bought to any stage.
I have a new found respect for Celine. How she watched Pavarotti to make sure her vocals matched the timing of his was pure professionalism and reverence.
I lived in a relationship like this for 30+years, we were on again, off again. He died 3 years ago and I know I will go to my grave still loving him. I am in my 70"s.

I love how she just sang around him as if he was a canvas and she was drawing a painting, she was gentle yet effective. It's like he was breakable and she was holding him and gentle as she could. It was such a beautiful performance ❤️❤️

Also another commenter says he's not looking at her because he's reading the lyrics in an auto-prompter - not ignoring her on purpose. She watches him in order to match his pronunciation. I think they did an absolutely brilliant job on actually singing the song.
Pavarotti was generous and visionary and left us some wonderful collaborations that have made history. This is very good, but my favorites are with Lucio Dallia and James Brown If Caruso doesn't shed your tears, you're made of stone.
Celine invested a lot of emotion into the song. They both are top singers. Celine was so humble to Pavarotti. She is so lovely. Hopefully we can see her back to stage soon.

God I miss him so much. We truly lost a wonderful operatic singer when he passed away. Glad we have most of his work caught on 8tracks, cassettes, cd's, dvds and now so many online media forms. RIP Pavarotti.

I had the absolute pleasure and honor to be in Pavarotti's presents at one of his very last concert he had before he passed I was literally in the fourth row I could see the sweat beat off his forehead and I was mesmerized by this man's voice, by that time he was very ill and could only sit on stage minutes at a time but it was worth every second I spent in that venue. And I've had the pleasure of also seeing Celine Dion in concert and that was just amazing as well.

This is fantastic! Luciano sang with James Brown and many other contemporary artist. He proved that indeed, music is music. I regret that I did not get to see him perform live. Luciano was truly a once in a lifetime master singer. Celine is in absolute perfect harmony and the musicians are perfect as well.
They complimented each other perfectly. Celine handled this show awesomely, even better than the record. She was like a butterfly with her gestures and movement vs Mr.Pavarotti was so manly stand still. They were like a couple who are having a fight but they know best that they are madly in love. Every word of the lyric was emotionally sung like they meant it. One of the best performance in my opinion.
There is no lip syncing here. She is belting out all those notes. Gives me chills every time I hear her sing. One of my favorite Heart songs of all time. I was a teenager when this album came out. I wasted no time buying it. Love having grown up in a time when musicianship was verifiable and rarely had to be questioned.

Try to hear the original version ''Grande grande grande" by Mina (Italian), then Shirley Bassey had it in English around 1972, also nowadays by Jennifer Hudson. Great songs like this one, got to be sung by great voices and personalities.
I suggest you listen to the original Italian version from Mina and also to the Shirley Bassey english rendition. Those are the two best versions IMO.

Oh wow! Céline being at her absolute best with the living legend that Luciano was at the time. Both of them sing so effortlessly it almost seems that they were at a rehearsal, not at the actual concert.

God I miss him so much. We truly lost a wonderful operatic singer when he passed away. Glad we have most of his work caught on 8tracks, cassettes, cd's, dvds and now so many online media forms. RIP Pavarotti.

I had the absolute pleasure and honor to be in Pavarotti's presents at one of his very last concert he had before he passed I was literally in the fourth row I could see the sweat beat off his forehead and I was mesmerized by this man's voice, by that time he was very ill and could only sit on stage minutes at a time but it was worth every second I spent in that venue. And I've had the pleasure of also seeing Celine Dion in concert and that was just amazing as well.

This is fantastic! Luciano sang with James Brown and many other contemporary artist. He proved that indeed, music is music. I regret that I did not get to see him perform live. Luciano was truly a once in a lifetime master singer. Celine is in absolute perfect harmony and the musicians are perfect as well.

They complimented each other perfectly. Celine handled this show awesomely, even better than the record. She was like a butterfly with her gestures and movement vs Mr.Pavarotti was so manly stand still. They were like a couple who are having a fight but they know best that they are madly in love. Every word of the lyric was emotionally sung like they meant it. One of the best performance in my opinion.

There is no lip syncing here. She is belting out all those notes. Gives me chills every time I hear her sing. One of my favorite Heart songs of all time. I was a teenager when this album came out. I wasted no time buying it. Love having grown up in a time when musicianship was verifiable and rarely had to be questioned.
