    I've been DJing professionally for over 20-yrs now, and I'm a huge equipment junkie.
    I'm always looking for the biggest, best sound in speakers. I started with JBL, they
    were good, then I started using Mackies, and they were (at the time) better. Later
    I found what I thought were the best, with QSC K-12's along with the K-Sub, and
    they were definitely Excellent, High Quality speakers. But then I started
    researching and checking out the Bose L-1 Model II's with the Sub modules, and
    instantly fell in LOVE with them. I found them to be the VERY BEST in producing a
    true Philharmonic Quality sound. The sound has an even flow throughout the room.
    To me they are the most PERFECT Speakers on the market. Nothing else even
    comes close. Yes, they are extremely expensive, but if you are a purist when it
    comes to sound production, then they're well worth the price!!!

    Hi, does the ground button really really really works to eliminate or greatly reduce Hums ad buzz noise?
    and is there any way to daisy chain other speakers from these? or is that what the mix output is for?

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not really for a house... This will rattle your house until everything inside is loose! You would use this for a club or bar or other type setting, but not necessarily in a residence. You can hook this or any speaker up to a bluetooth or wireless style system using a wireless adapter, but its pretty expensive and more for Pro-use...

      Yes the yamaha DSR112 is so great even the Pro sound guys are using them now. the DSR112 will beat the alto black is output, sound quality and reliability. The alto will only win in the input mixer section.

    I have the ts115a speakers and Im not sure if the can handle proms and bigger events with around 250-350 people. ive been looking at the alto black series, the EV ELX112P, and the JBL PRX and the new SRX series. let me know what you think. and I wish alto would give a max spl rating on the black series

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The JBL and the Black Series and the EV are all a step up from the Alto TS... You should try to listen to them all to determine what you really want. Sound is pretty subjective to what you're looking for, so you really need to compare as much as possible before your purchase... Try some big name stores like Guitar Center or Sam Ash...

    • @tylertruitt377
      @tylertruitt377 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      but any of those will get the job done right? im gonna use what ever new speakers I get for the gigs that are over 200 people and less then 450 people

    • @RealDJblaze

    Interesting speakers, they've actually just recently been rebadged as Denon NEW "Delta" speakers, so are likely very good quality. Unfortunately, Alto has a history of profuct failure and poor customer service, so not sure I would invest in them, especially at the asking price. They do look really nice, though and better than the value TS series.

    • @bobballard87
      @bobballard87 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +alpoulin1 Just wanted to pop in and say a couple of things about Alto. I've owned several of their products, including their TS110A active 10" cabs and Alto ZMX122FX mixer. I've only had one intermittent issue with the mixer, slightly out of warranty, and that was taken care of promptly and free of charge by Alto. Their customer service was outstanding. Since it was an intermittent issue and their tech couldn't find it, they sent me a new mixer. Also - I've been driving the heck out of those little TS110A's for about 3 years now in band and DJ use and they are some great sounding, loud, and tough little speakers. VERY roadworthy and reliable. I also have higher priced EV and Yamaha powered cabs, but those Altos can easily hold their own against the higher priced brands.

    Can someone tell me if there's much difference to buying the 10" to the 15" ???????

    • @leonquinn8930
      @leonquinn8930 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      10" speakers would be ideal for smaller venues, maybe with a subwoofer for additional bass if you're playing club style music. 15" would give you deeper sound usually producing that bit more power you need for a bigger venue for larger audiences. Using a pair of 15" speakers of the quality of those in this video at a smaller venue would pretty much guarantee enough bass not to require subwoofers. I hope this helps.

  • @Drakulea
    @Drakulea 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I bought a pair of these and was kinda disappointed. I expected massive volume with a pair of 2400W speakers, but they seem just adequate for band practice. I thought I could use them as main speakers for small to medium shows, but now that I have them, they don't seem to have enough volume. Any tips or suggestions to get them up to their full potential? I run my 4 instrument band through a pro mixer into both Alto black 12s. I keep the main faders at +5dBu, since the manual says the speakers are designed for +4dBu optimally, and up to +10dBu. Am I missing something, or was I just expecting too much?

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think they are 2400W RMS, but that is the peak power handling. Anyway, these are seriously loud for a pair of powered 12's. I would think only a few other brands out there would be louder. I'm not sure what settings you have on your Alto 12's but something must be wrong. Check all the switches and volume controls to make sure you have them right... They should be really loud.

    • @Drakulea
      @Drakulea 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +DJbooth DJ's Yes, 2400W peak, 1200W RMS. I used to gig with passive speakers that were fed 800W from a Behringer power amp and the Alto don't seem to sound much louder than those. they weren't even high end speakers lol. I'm still trying out settings, but doesn't seem like I have much more to mess with.

      @Drakulea 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a set of these in a venue for about 150 people and the place was pretty large. They had a stage and all. They can probably fit about 500+ people in there and the sound was pretty loud and full... Especially with a subwoofer added to the mix...

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +julito Balongcas Jr. It depends... Some people like to have smaller top two-way or three-way speakers with only a 12-inch woofer then they match them up with 15 or 18 inch standalone subwoofers to handle the bass. Some people like to just have 15-inch two way speakers for some gigs to give them a bit more bass than the 12's. Its all personal preference really or for the situation/room/event you are working with.

      Hey man, I'm not sure if there are fans in there or not, but it doesn't get hot! I rocked these for a few hours and didn't get any serious heat coming off of them. I'm not sure what they've done to make them stay cool, but I guess it works. If you don't feel comfortable with that though, it's up to you...

      @djroly305 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** OK thank you Kareem. I am not doubting that these Alto's are very good. But I have heard from many other DJ's to stick to powered speakers that have built in cooling fans, especially in my case that I live in hot Florida year round & most of my gigs are outdoors. Don't know why Alto didn't add cooling fans with this new series. I will have to go with the DSR Yamaha's 15' at $799.00, less power but they have the cooling fans built in. Keep up the great reviews, your one of the best on TH-cam. Thank you again!

Yamaha speakers are the best. plus you get 7 yr warranty on Yamaha speakers I believe...these look nice & fancy, but looking at long haul not a good choice...they discontinued these Alto series for a reason, it couldn't have been a good reason....my opinion go with Yamahas can't go wrong 👍!

    I'm still using the alto black 12s and black 18. the only way to really open up these 12s too there sound and true power mids and highs is a EQ or bdx if not using the blue tooth AP . the presets buttons or too flat. I play rap, r&b ,jazz and blues if you do. no qsc k 12 can hang with them. 3 years using these with no problems. 4 years using the sub. but they are heavy. the only reason I only have one black 18 is I already have a qsc 181 . you can't go wrong with the alto black series.

    Ok looks like these Amps are trash. I have 2 black 10 series with melted glue from factory manufacturer melted on the board which becomes conductive and interferes with its operation. I only got about 3 gigs worth out of these. Very disappointing for such a great sounding speaker when they work properly. Amp repairs around 180usd each to repair removing all the yellow and burnt brown glue and any caps that may need replacing, although caps don't look blown at all. Mainly glue is the issue.

    Client of mine just purchased a pair of these, after two weeks the amplifier on both gave out, just produces horrible noise.. I DO NOT recommend these. Made well minus the electronics, a 1200 watt amp with a heatsink without fan, things were hot to the touch in standby, which is probably they went bad..

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      If its only been 2 weeks, then you should be able to take them back and exchange them... You probably had a lemon set that could have been damaged in shipping... They are really heavy and I'd be worried about shipping from the supplier. Either way... i still have mine and they ROCK...

    Dude, how are you gonna sit there and tell me that this is a good speaker if you are not even making a comparison nor have them plugged in into your mixer and cranked them up for sound. SMH.....Please don't do this, Kareem.

      Ha! You do know that youtube compresses sound in video files and depending on the users setup and the speakers/headphones that are connected to the computer/device when playing back youtube videos all change the way the sound is in the end? Anyone who is actually playing sound to review speakers on youtube is giving you bullshit info and wasted time. You can't get accurate sound reproduction from live Pro-Audio equipment on youtube videos. That's just the way it is...
