I’m in the navy and one morning i bumped my kneecap at the edge of the hatch felt really really hurt but shrugged it off since i’m in deployment not much they can do the next morning its not swole or anything but it hurts, the next day its gone so i think its not that serious but now everytime i do squats the pain is unbearable.
This is so helpful, I've had a problem with this kind of pain fo so long and knowing that i stand hyper-extended and my scoliosis affects my hips, it all makes sense. My ankles turn inwards due to my back alignment, it all snow balls into a lot of pain and problems down the line.
Love your videos. I recently started doing lunges and squats with 10lb weights to get back to a place of building my legs up after being too sedentary during the Pandemic. While doing lunges, I heard a cracking, crunching sound on the upper right, or along the right side of my knee. I thought, well, this is only proof that I should’ve been exercising g more over the past year. Several days later I had soreness when I pressed down on the upper right part of my knee. It felt like a ligament. The area did swell up. When I mentioned it to my primary care physician, she said it was just temporary inflammation and it would go away. Last week, after 2 weeks, the swelling still had not gone down so when I thought of you guys, I went to a physical therapist. He had me do some exercises and he also had me lay down. Then, he pressed, with a hammer tool, on my upper right side, saying that the pain originated in this area. Well, the swelling continues, and the soreness is still there. However, I still walk 4-8 miles per day and even slow jog one of those miles. I find that when I jog, I don’t feel it as bad (at about a 2) but afterwards, the swelling again increases and the soreness is at about a 7. What do you think I should do? I forgot to mention that I am 64 years old and don’t need anything like this getting in the way of my mobility!
Thanks guys! So much! This is me, can't wait to fix it! My problem is positional stiffness. Like knee won't bend out of sitting or extension. Only bends 45 degrees from a tendon release surgery that caused this, lost looseness, so one leg is stiff, other is normal.
I can’t move my knee caps at all. In any direction. I remember when I was a kid I told everyone who would listen that my knees were painful and not normal. No one listened, so I figured it was normal stopped asking for help. Now I’m 38 and starting to wonder if I was right if something was wrong with my knees all along.
I cannot tell you both how much i appreciate your videos, you always inform and advise but keep it light-hearted. My question is: can you have PFPS and quadriceps tendinopathy at the same time?
I'm almost 40yo (Next Month) & a Woman. I've been dealing w/ R Knee Discomfort for awhile now, but lately when I Wake up, which I feel it's from my R Foot Naturally falling out to the Far Right Side, it's causing EXTREME PAIN on the Interior Side of the Knee that Radiates up into the Thigh, w/ Pain that's behind & to the Outer Edge of my Knee (by the end of the Bicep Femoris Muscle), that's Radiating down into my Calf. I'm looking at this Video right now trying to Identify what the Pain could possibly be Indicating. The Pain is definitely worse in the Morning VS Other Times of Day, has gone from Achy to "I Can't Weight Bear, I Can't Walk", to more consistent Days of Knee Pain! I've been considered "Double Jointed" for as long as I can remember. But, I'm going to do my Best w/ this Test. So for the 1st 1 (Kneecap Test): It's actually Tighter pushing my Kneecap Inwards, but it doesn't really go anywhere when trying to move it Outwards. I'm a little worried bc I leaned forward & lent my Forearms on my Thighs & actually felt Lightheaded from the Pain Radiating from my R Knee (I lent about 4" above the Kneecap)! Which just happened to be the 2nd Test w/ applied Pressure to the Thigh. However, my R Knee Hurts REALLY BAD when Pressure comes up from Underneath/Behind it, too!! Most of my Dad's Siblings have had some kind of Knee Surgery, mostly Replacements & my Mom had an UnDXed Meniscus Tear, that was finally found & Surgically Repaired. So, unfortunately, I've been Mentally preparing for awhile now when the Inner Pain started intermittently, but now... Wow! This is like "Take your Breath Away" Pain!! 😭 I know you can't DX this way, but Any Insight of what this could be & what I can possibly do (ie. Ice &/or Heat, Ibuprofen, etc) would be Appreciated. Thank you! *Edited to Add: It's now 1030a, 2hrs since I Woke up, & now I can't even Pick my R Foot up off the Ground to Walk w/out immediately having this Deep, Lightning Pain Above, Around & Inside my Knee. 😭
search for Kneesovertoesguy and try the regresed exercises if you can, though it could be sciatica, it's pretty common and it gets worse if it reaches the back, so see your doctor asap
Thanks for the video. I went to a knee doctor and he said the pain is under my knee and since my legs were muscular to not stop what I was doing and nothing about how to fix it. Problem is when my knee hurts it causes my form to suffer and put my back at risk.
I am 27. I have knee pain below my knee cap. When I take a step or a sumo squat it's been painful today. I spoke to my Uncle who is a chiropractor. When he had a look at my back one of the first things he asked me was if I ever get knee pain in my right knee. I think their might be some things causing this pain. 1, my left leg is longer by half an inch or more. 2, I have done heavy manual labour job. 3, I have been known to run (back foot funning). 4, I broke my right ankle. Please help. I have done so much to stop back pain and now my knee is killing me. I have read going bear foot helps.
I’ve had knee pain for years! It feels like it’s inside my kneecap or under it. Keeping my leg in one position is so painful and if I’m in a cramped space it’s unbearable (ex: backseat of a car where I can’t stretch my legs out). Sometime so wake up and my kneecap feels so weak like it’s barely keeping my leg together. Walking down the stairs hurts so much on those days.
Kindly guide 🙏 My mother is 50+ and she feels pain while crossing leg for long, while standing for long, while using staircase, on upper part of the knee cap. Her pain increased after wearing heals. But, acc to the tests you showed, mom's knee is moving in all directions fine, without pain. What type of pain is it?
I used to smoke “green” a lot. Then without warning one day while “partaking” like i had hundreds of times before, both my knees were tensing up and could not support any weight without feeling like my knees would shoot to my toes. And after that every time i “partook” just a little too much theyd start to do that. So i stopped. For about 3 yrs now. But now its randomly doing it even though im sober. Sometimes it sneaks up on me and i feel fine and no tension. and im lying down with my legs straight. And i go to stand only to realize i cannot support any weight. And other times i feel them tense up. Its almost always just my right leg but sometimes my left leg will do it too.
The only time I feel pain is at the 90 degree point. Tweaked it at work left foot went slightly sideways on a step and my right leg tried to compensate for the instability. I brought myself to the ground slowly but I felt my knee just give up. Now when I try to bend it I can only get down about 70 degrees. Only happened last night but it seems like this is my current issue
I had a total knee replacement in 2013 and have pain in my knee that I didn’t used to have. When my husband runs into my surgeon (at work in our local hospital) he always says I should have no pain. Watching this video I moved my knee cap around and it definitely hurts. I have pain both going down and coming up from squats, and it seems like there is something popping out on the outside of the knee cap. I also feel a click when I move the knee cap from side to side, and the pain reminds me of the bone spurs I have in my elbows. That feels like I’m putting my elbow down on a needle, moving my knee cap kind of feels like that, a needle jab. How is this happening with a replacement? Can you get bone spurs with a replacement? I’m going to have to make sure I catch the follow up video to this one!
What is what causes burning sensation like your knees having yeast infection and numbness and purple around the kneecap explain that one to me that's what I have and it hurts so bad
Ive been having this issue for a few weeks now. I only feel the pain when my leg is completely straight, Im also pigeon toed so mayve its contributing to the issue.
Hello guys. I've been limping and walking oddly for over a year while awaiting hip replacement. I've developed severe anterior knee cap pain when walking down or up stairs or upon standing from a sitting position. Is this knee pain likely due to my changed gait? If so, will post surgical physiotherapy likely resolve the knee pain? I've never had knee pain or injury prior to my hip issue.
I fell on my left knee playing basketball.. standing up on the lower left side closer to the lower part of my knee is sore. At night, I have this burning sensation. My left hip is misaligned. I have flat feet (I wear an orthotic when I play basketball)
🙏 Can't find results or documentation on this. A single or sometimes a few toes started turning red/purple when standing. Goes away immediately after doing calf lifts & delays turning colors again. Is it caused by weak/tight muscle or pinched nerve? Sitting also causes the problem but laying doesn't.
I have a massive plica in my knee (based on nanoscopy), could that be the cause my chondromalacia, kneecap pain? I know you don't like ASK but physio makes my knees super painful and stiff, the more I do, the more painful it gets and its becoming a vicious cycle and I don't feel stronger after 6 months of knee rehab at all😭
@@slovackfrench2042 Just an FYI. I tried their exercises and it only made it worse. The only thing that cured my issue was to stop working out altogether for three weeks. Left knee has water on the knee caused by moderate painful osteoarthritis and now right knee has intense pain under and around kneecap!! Prob now have osteoarthritis in right knee as well!! Am watching these videos tho seeing if I need a urgent care visit or wait for Ortho appt. I'm waddling around like a penguin with my damn knees embarrassing my 17year old lol 🤣😂!!! Just ouch...sometimes I turn or bend a certain way and wow my right knee is even angrier than the left which is impressive!!
😓painful. It doesn't have to be a bat. It can be a fall on cement (knee), falling down a flight of stairs (knees); auto accidents; hit in the knees by on-coming vehicle; being attacked (knees), by being kicked & punched. There are numerous ways for a person to have injured knees! 😩
Energy weapons can also wear down the knee. Remotely too. Just saying. Why would someone do that? Non consensual human experimentation and or revenge, sadism, etc. Sounds harsh, but I'm dead serious.
