My local Goodwill now has its own corner for big brand items with a big sign and everything. And they're priced higher too. Lol defeats the purpose. Electronics shelves are essentially non-existent now too.
OMG!! My Mom had one of those old Panasoonic radios when I was a little girl! She had it playing constantly! I remember I used to peak through those little holes in the back trying to see all the little people inside who were singing those songs! LOL!! (I was just a kid!)
Hey Hairy Tornado, just wanted to say thanks! I've learned alot from you and made over $1500 last month just going to goodwill on my 30 minute breaks. Best of luck and thanks again!
I love your enthusiasm, Josh! Great shopping video. That Winnie the Pooh plush Easter lamb could go for $20+. You have no idea the desperation of a parent trying to replace a lost lovey!
RULE OF THUMB: ALWAYS CHECK BOTH SHOE SIZES BEFORE YOU PICK UP! COMING FROM A 7 YEAR DICKS SPORTING GOODS ASSOCIATE AND 20 YEAR THRIFTER 😬💪🏽 AWESOME VIDEO BROTHER LOVE THE CONTENT!
I bought 3 furbies not too long ago. Two Christmas limited edition and one autumn edition. All 3 were $5 each. Sold them all. It’s amazing how easy the money can be. The best part about thrifting is when you spend next to nothing it doesn’t hurt undercutting a bit to get them off your hands.
Before you list it, double check, 'cause I believe that's a Tennessee Vols hat instead of a Texas Longhorns hat. Also, Longhorns color is more burnt orange and ALMOST always has the Longhorns symbol rather than a "T".
When I lived in Indianapolis up until a few months ago I did well with Goodwill stuff. Moved to coastal Alabama and love it down here but the thrift stores are everywhere and they are horrendous. Way overpriced trash. Evidently people down here love paying 99% of retail for dirty and damaged used stuff.
All my local thrift stores in Central CA have mostly junk. For most of the larger chains like Good Will and Salvation Army, donations get sent to a distribution center in like Bakersfield where they have knowledgable people who cherry pick the stuff, remove anything good, and either sell those items online or send it off to "better" cities in CA. The rest gets sent to the local thrift stores. Our smaller local charity organizations also cherry pick donations. They sell the nicer clothing, shoes, purses, etc, in their "boutique" thrift stores (much higher prices) or online. They also have an Ebay store where they sell anything they can. All the rest of the stuff, which is often damaged or lower quality, goes to the regular thrift stores, some of which are disorganized and/or dirty. There may still be a few deals here and there, but it takes a lot of digging and researching because it's just the oddball stuff the "sorters" missed. You for sure can't just walk out of there with half a dozen pairs of marketable shoes like he did.😫 If you're lucky, you might find one pair worth selling on Ebay. Bad business for us Ebay sellers, but if the proceeds actually go toward helping people in our poor communities, I'm glad they are getting top dollar for the donations.
here im england i found the most beautiful gothic dress to resell! i was originally going into the city but due to me driving off the road my mum drove me to a town instead n it was like i was meant to go there with the cool stuff i found
I have watch you and your wife since you started love watching you I like watching you go through the pallets has Haley not been helping you lately love watching her she is a help to you love watching you two together
Im not the type to normally pick up shoes when sourcing, but what ive learned from this video is I need to start taking some calculated risks with them!!
Great video! If your stores offer senior discounts, you could invite a senior looking to earn a few bucks. Let your senior friend buy the items using their discount and the savings difference could go to them. Or split the savings. Not counting the bins, $213-7(bins)=206. So approx $206x25%=$51.50 to help a senior citizen. So in this case the savings difference of $51.50 would pay electric or food for a month.
Looks like a good day of finds. I understand it likely isn’t worth your time, but I could be for others, for the Sirius radio I have often found better returns to part those out. Sometimes a couple of parts would sell as much or more than the entire, with much less shipping. I’ve been surprised that even the smallest less impressive parts have sold. They all add up and easy no fuss additional income if you have any free listings.
Me and my wife love going to goodwill to get some nice deals. We’ve lived all over the country and the goodwills you have def have lots of better items than we have seen. We’re currently in Arizona which they have a tons of goodwills near us but not as nearly as many shoe options and they seem to be higher priced here than most we’ve been to. Northern Chicago burbs goodwills is where we scored on the deals for us. Just started watching and I’m addicted to your channel.
I found one of those nuwaves bnib at a yard sale for $5. It was a great find because it was packaged and ready to roll. Nice deals you got! I hate cleaning shoes though!!!
Those Skechers twinkle toes (@10:57 with black TOMS) are a good brand for kids shoes . I buy them for my daughter on eBay and usually pay $20 plus for used.
hey Josh, how are you doing today? great video once again. You really get the spark going for me to get out and thrift and list. Thanks for your content.. Also... i don't know if you saw it but starting at 17:02 all the way through the part on the grass there is a random floating shadow that moves back and forth across the screen floating mostly over the shoes.. it caught my eye, maybe you picked up a ghostly passenger.. lol or its a gnat walking across your lense.. regardless ,awesome video. thanks for sharing
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one catching that but at 17:30 it floats off into the pavement so I’m having some thoughts Of supernatural stuff going on!!!
Stores in my area are cheap as well. I snag military camo, BDU's, surplus stuff mainly. Occasionally a tag still on NEW Polo Shirt 5$, but surplus where its at for me. Got sweet Blue Tigerstripe Camo pants for $7.50. Some good stuff for sure.
Great video! Here in MD if you make a donation, no matter how small you get 20% off coupons. You can add more profit to your haul. Something that has sat and not sold can still bring you profit by donating it and getting the coupon.😁
I never thought about shoes, but then again I sell small stuff not really serious. Just a couple of bucks profit here and there. All the Goodwills in my area never have that good quality stuff and I mean they are in some very well to do areas.
I love 40 min away from the US/Mexico border. My Goodwill stores are picked bone dry. There is a line of people at the store before they open and people just rush in and fill up their carts with whatever they can grab. They literally run in the store full sprint, then back to Mexico. Lol. I still occasionally find a couple things. Great video, I'd be so happy to find the grey Nikes for myself.
Harry Tornado, Hi from Beaverton Oregon the cradle of Nike & Columbia. Dude, the shoe prices on your video are awesome. Good Wills here jack up not only shoe sales but other items. In this area shoes in GW can be marked up to $50 $80! I see this all day everyday. Great video! Thanks-NW Hills-Picker..
I'm in Beaverton also. You are so right about the Goodwill prices here. I've also noticed that some stores have been changing the color of the tags throughout the week.
I'm close to Rhode Island and Josh's goodwill prices shock me abit so I def agree with you..I wish i had a goodwill with a pair of adult sneaks under $14 let alone mystery pallets..hahaha..
Love this vid, shoes are big, I went to a garage sale and someone gave me a pair of Jordan 1s Gym Reds for free, I’ll have to clean them up and buy new laces but it resells for 245
Hairy Tornado you probably don’t remember me from the premiere of yesterday’s vid when asking about shoes and stuff but your videos have inspired me to become a reseller and I finally am doing it. Still haven’t paid eBay for a store or got taxes lined up, but I’m looking forward to getting into this world of reselling!
Years ago, I became an Ebay top rated power seller from selling shoes. Some were brand new, as I bought over 100 pairs from a shoe store that was closing. But many were used. I primarily sold "comfort" shoes. Brands like SAS, Dansko, Sanita, Sofft, etc. Also Italian made or good quality vintage that can be cleaned and polished. But then our local stores started cherry picking stuff and selling for way too much money or selling in their own Ebay stores. Profits went out the window.
Good eye buddy.. The things u pick up, i wud def pick it 2.. Luv the adidas n Longhorn cap, Panasonic radio its real classic.. U just went for everything decent, luv the strategy.. 👍🏻
Wow nice finds at your goodwill and salvation army and thanx for the great view blue print info. Now can u do a video of how u clean without damaging these sneakers shoes clothes u find to resell flip thanx looking for more info videos.
Love watching your videos! You inspired my husband and I to stop at Dream Deals on our way to North Carolina. Can I ask what city your Goodwills are located? They look amazing and huge.
Goodwills are pricing alot of things high now, some so high it annoys me. Granted alot still gets by unnoticed, but their "handpicked" items can be really overpriced. Salvation Army still has the best prices.
Dude my local thrift stores all price their shoes at retail even an overly used/ratty pair of Converse or Vans are $16.99 sometimes $25.99....the worst....
I am starting to do this. It's fun and scary, but mostly FUN! Scary because I get scared that my items won't sell, but they will, I just have to give it time. Right?
Hello, looks like you're killing it...it·s AWESOME! I pretty new to EBay reselling and I actually made my first sale today, so exciting. I do have question if you can help me. What is a Comp and how do you use it? Thank you.
You look up an item on ebay and filter the search results to show only those items that have actually sold. This will show you exactly how much someone paid for your item so you can know how much you can get for yours. Comp is short for comparable sale. Same thing real estate appraisers do. They find houses that are similar to yours that have recently sold so as to get an accurate estimate at what your house is worth in the current market.
Either I'm seeing things or there is something going on when he starts counting the shoes. There is some strange black shadow going back and forth through the shoes. It starts in one place and moves across then it returns and goes back the other way. I think he caught some paranormal activity. 👻🤯
All of those shoes would have been $9.99-$24.99 at my Goodwill here in Illinois. No Joke. Anything Nike, Underarrmor, etc. gets slapped with greed pricing. I think I'm done with the Goodwills around here. Shameful what they charge for items that are dumped on them for ZERO cost.
Just started doing this. Goodwill is insane prices so i went to value village and there was jackets i looked up 20 bucks brandnew same exact jacket and the village was selling 27 bucks, shoes that were selling on ebay great condition 40 bucks 65 with hole in them at value village? Apperntly value village turns everything into prada
Do you get so many shoes because they're what's available in places you shop or because they sell well? I feel like they'd be a lot of work and take up a lot of space without moving out quickly.
Hello, Mr. Hairy Tornado...I am a new subscriber to your channel. Love the videos and I have learned a lot! Is it possible that you can add a segment to one of your videos of how you figure out how much a package will cost to ship out when boxes are odd dimensions and the long boxes. I’ve notice when I go to the post office, a lot of people have the wrong dollar amount on their labels because they didn’t calculate correctly.....I am also guilty of this as well....Thanks again! Glad I ran into your videos and keep up with the great/educational videos👍🏻👍🏻
I'm pretty good at estimating shipping when I list stuff. Then when an item actually sells, I input the exact weight and dimensions so the label is always exactly accurate.
volunteer! Goodwill and Karm prices are soo much higher here in Knoxville.. Shoes that I can sell for ab 25 to 30 dollars are listed at 14.99. If they were 7.99 id be all over them. Smh
Yo you have some amazing goodwills. Mine all look like they pulled everything out of a dumpster and slapped a price tag on it.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing. Our electronics shelf looks like somebody just poured out huge bins of junk piled on top of piles of junk.
Lol why they saying that
Are Goodwill better in big cities, compared to smaller towns..?
My local Goodwill now has its own corner for big brand items with a big sign and everything. And they're priced higher too. Lol defeats the purpose. Electronics shelves are essentially non-existent now too.
@@mahmoudnadi9683 Mine is the same. I was doing good until they decided to do that. 😔

Lol! It was a super cool piece!
That's cute...lol. Sounds like my sister when we were kids.
Omg, I thought I was the only little kid that did that. Lol 😂
Hey Hairy Tornado, just wanted to say thanks! I've learned alot from you and made over $1500 last month just going to goodwill on my 30 minute breaks. Best of luck and thanks again!
Hey disco . How's it going
I have ZERO stores like that around me... so jealous man. Keep up the grind 💪👍
You dont need none around you just find out where they're.
U don’t have any stores around u like that? Tj max, marshals, any thrift store?
My local thrift stores are never priced under $10 for a pair of shoes.
Same here. Even though im oversea. Most Are badly worn or over priced at 12+ $.. But some stores Are generous
Nice finds. I'm going back and looking at your older videos that I have not viewed before.

6:22 there I was in the blue shirt haha. Awesome finds that day Josh.
Before you list it, double check, 'cause I believe that's a Tennessee Vols hat instead of a Texas Longhorns hat. Also, Longhorns color is more burnt orange and ALMOST always has the Longhorns symbol rather than a "T".

@@gavinallard9886 Oh, Definitely!!!
I was thinking same thing. Im a volunteer fan myself. Go vols!
Looks like Texas to me. Lived in Austin so know that color. They DO use a T now and then. Vols use a different color of orange.
That's a Longhorn hat. This Texan married a Volunteer and their orange is a true orange, UT is burnt orange, which that hat is.
Your Goodwill's have the best stuff. Mine have all garbage and overpriced shoes ($20 and up). Frustrating.

The store that you got the horse from. There was quite a few other nice looking shoes and some that looked would sell. How come you passed them by?

New subscriber here... yes some of the thrift store here price the shoes high too.
Love the content BTW. I've been reselling for a short time and was just wondering how fast did you turn that over?
volunteer! Goodwill and Karm prices are soo much higher here in Knoxville.. Shoes that I can sell for ab 25 to 30 dollars are listed at 14.99. If they were 7.99 id be all over them. Smh
Awesome day thrifting! Good luck on the sales.
