Michael truly was a diabolical character in season 1
I’m so glad they changed him, another 6 seasons of season 1 Michael would be unbearable
he had rlly good character development, starting when he met holly and realised Jan wasn’t good for him. around s4 or 5
Season 1 was heavily based on the original UK series. Ricky Gervis' character and Michael Scott started out pretty similar, but Michael evolved over time.
I’m convinced Charlie’s long game is to get “diabolical” into the mainstream english lexicon so it’ll be the word people think of when he reveals his diabolical villain arc.

I’ve never thought about the fact that Toby has a daughter and he was just ditching her to move to Costa Rica.
He probably didn't want his daughter growing up with a father figure as meek, weak and spineless as him. It'd make her weak and spineless too. Weak pushover parents usually have weak pushover kids.
I don't think it was supposed to be forever, but Toby was going through it. Between his divorce and Micheal, he needed a break. He could still call and FaceTime her.
Couldn't Toby's daughter have stayed with her mother? I doubt Toby would just send her out to live on the streets.

I thought they were hiding, or at least downplaying their relationship.
I maintain that the Jim and Pam wrestling scene is the most awkward scene in the whole show. It's legit hard to watch lol. It's way worse than Toby touching Pam's leg.
For Jim... Pam only demanded Jim to let go because she saw her coworkers looking at her - they could've told Roy about it. Other than that, she seemed to enjoy it.
I have seen friends playing like that many times... is not too awkward when you know they like each other, just like Jim and Pam.

This sort of thing is The Office’ at its worst. Ryan asking out Pam and him finding out she was with Jim, was the best. I love Pam.❤️
It's not The Office at its worst. It's The Office at it's most normal.
The whole show is just "awkward-funny" humour. A lot of these scenes are played out in an ironic/awkward fashion purposefully and the ones that didn't were used to setup her character arc.
Pam's arc throughout the show (especially later seasons) is her proving herself capable and learning not to let demeaning or sexist manners effect her.
A lot of them are in earlier seasons bcs as the show goes on, she improves as a person and gets more confident.
Pam is a really underrated character, fundamentally and just personality wise
The scene at 8:01 had me in tears over everyone's reaction to the knee grab lmfao
I feel so terrible for Pam during this entire compilation. Just me, but all the scenes were not funny at all. The only funny scene to me was probably the scene with Ryan asking Pam out without knowing her and Jim were already a couple.
So many moments I was hoping for Pam to just snap. Slapping or yelling at one of these guys.
She did slap Michael though...
I thought they were all hilarious. Pam sells it every single time. it's amazing.
When it comes to the real world is actually so frustrating, but since it's a mockumentary people just enjoy the jokes.
Also Pam is not the type of person to hit others. Again, in real world this situations need an immediate stop, but in the show everyone just let slide everything
@@toliycherneychuk1173 Only because he dated her mom. It's not even about her.
i feel like pams face every time it happens is what makes it not funny. if it was in a classic sitcom, most would find it funny cause there's a laugh track in the background and the female has this "awh shucks, not this again!" face. but pams faces in this compilation always looks so uncomfortable and even sad sometimes. if i didn't know this was a sitcom, i would've believed those scenes were made for awareness and deep topics
Pam was so completely underrated. Probably the most watched character of all time in terms of hours around the world of any TV/movie. Jenna Fischer always seemed annoyed about it too, like did you know she didn’t even get paid maternity leave?

7:46 it's crazy rewatching this like a decade later and realizing how much i've matured, and how my sense of humor has evolved. This scene is brilliant in the context of the show as a whole and the character Toby. The man simultaneously *peaked* at work, landing a joke everyone laughs at, genuinely; and then has the absolute worst awkward moment ever, one that he literally flees to another country to escape. It's still funny, but how I feel watching it could not be more stark a difference, and I think that's the point. Great writing that achieves exactly what it sets out to do... It's interesting to see the popular discourse "the office couldn't be made today" "the office is too cringey/isn't funny" because as I mull over how i've changed as i grew up, i cannot imagine the writers intended anything else for the show other than being funny to immature people and exasperating for the socially and empathy competent members of the audience.
It's true. It was hard to watch for the empathetic friends of my friend group. We used to watch the show together and a couple of them literally had to walk out of the room when Kevin spilled all the chilli because they felt so bad lol. And they always hated Michael

@@theinsurance2450that's literally harassment!

The definition is If someone is abusing, insulting, or otherwise harming you on a regular basis. Nothing like that was done here. Where is the abusing? Where is the insult? Where the harm on a regular basis?
The legal definition is words or behavior that threatens, intimidates, or demeans a person. None of that was done here.
There no threatening. No physical harm was warn or given. No punishment was given.
There is no intimidating. There was no hint of pressuring or consequences. During or after.

Of course it was bizarre, but he didn't do it because he wanted to, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE
Pam is the only person who treats Toby well, it's normal for him to have feelings for her
not to mention that he regretted it seconds later and felt bad, he just didn't apologize because he's a coward
unintentional and subconscious are not the same thing doofus, having a dream about pam would be subconscious but acting on it in reality, touching her knee was fully intentional. He is just bad at reading signs and taking hints, but everyone even autistic people are accountable for indecent behavior in public. It‘s just funny because everyone was witness to this and as HR overstepping his own rules is absurd
Nice try Toby
Yes, it was. It was very much intentional, hence the extended time his hand was on her knee and then the running with his finger. It was gross and bad. He is in fact a coward tho and that's why he ran and hopped a fence instead of apologizing.
Well I dont know that depends. I would say that Pam wasnt bothered that much about it, because he found him cute before. But I think that the touch would give more shock than some words - because words do not have that much influence on a person than a touch. You can ignore words but touching is way more personal especially if u dont want to be touched on specific parts of your body and by particular people. Its one thing if someone puts their hand on your shoulder and one thing to put their hand on your thigh. But thats my opinion.
