It's because you need three pixels for creating one Color. You only need one pixel for a black /white color. That's why black/white screen were way sharper than the colored ones that came out after
This is great video! And I liked your music choice. Maybe for the more modern table tennis you should have shown more of the China team, because that point when they became almost unbeatable was for sure a evolution of table tennis🏓🏓🏓🏓🏓🏓😉
Thanks, I try to put more "calm" musics compared to my first video :) Yes I did some some very important oversights, but it's due to constructive commentary like your that I will ameliorate my next videos ! (Sorry if sometimes there are mistakes in my english)
this video seems pretty eurocentric, which by itself really is not a problem. But if you want to talk about how evolution of tt, how are you not gona put in short pips, or introduction of chopping with long pip, then chopping with short pip, or modern defensive players like joo se hyuk, or more penhold players, which includes jpen and cpen, not to mention the chinese has led the evolution of tt for the last few decade. 2/10
Wouldn't say joo se hyuk is a modern defensive player, but sb. Like ruwen filus is. But yeah you're right, this video does only show like 20% of the "evolution"
Most techniques used today were developed by the Japanese in the 60's and the Europeans(the Hungarians in the 70's and the Swedes in the 80's-90's).The pips and antispin styles were marginal techniques only used by the Chinese and have been phased out since the late 80's. The video isn't really about TT evolution.Neither Matsudaira's block game nor Ma Lin's traditional penhold were the typical styles of late 2000's as the video claims.Samsonov's style belongs in the late 90's.
Could've Been Longer, You Ran Too Fast Through The Years. But None The Less, Fun and Interesting To Watch and See the Transformations and Refinements in Table Tennis, From the Way it's Played Back then and Now. It's adopted a lot of aggression Lately. Lolz.
Thanks for the video and it’s a good attempt. Still a lot of legends players missing. Hope you can do a follow up with longer version and more players.
Great job, I liked to see more :)! Maybe with some comments what changed as time goes by (rules, rubbers, techniques/skills..). by the way: Samsonov at the end is my favourite :-)
Oh~my GOD!! Is the man in red at 1:34 young He Zhi Wen (何志文)? Look at that serve, the way how he stands, and tricky backhand, even the habit of touching his shorts after each score just confirm the fact. wow.
circa 2000 you should have waldner around 2010 i think where ma lin was doing lobs was a poor choice video. I think that was the prime of speed and spin of celluloid balls so better show speed and spin rallies. around 2015 would definitely be that ma long vs fang bo match--I think you know which video I meant...that was the epitome of offensive vs offensive table tennis
Nice concept but poorly executed. Samsonov in 2017 he played the final in the wttc in 1997. Ma lin in 2009 played the final in 1999. Very nice idea but the wrong players
I think the point should be to show how athletic players became over the years. Samsonov being the final clip who is slow, old and outdated (no offense) paints a false picture of modern table tennis. Would be much better to show some truly world class agressive players like FZD or Ma Long. Also showing almost only lobbing points doesnt really give a good comparison of change.
Nice vid basically. Calling it "evolution", however, is in my opinion a bit misleading. Up to maybe 1990 the vid clearly shows same kind of evolution. But afterwards, I don´t see that, although the game has in fact undergone changes, yet, not that striking as before.
Thanks for your constructive commentary Christoph :) Yes, I think same as there are no big changements after the beginning of the 21th century. Maybe the title "History" may be more appropriate ?
The video sucks coz is very European, if you want to talk about the evolution on TT, need to show the good players from the whole world, from China, Japan etc...
An evolution of table tennis video with barely 2 Chinese players? Is this a joke? Just the penhold evolution alone should at least include LGL -> MLin -> WH -> XX...
Just as the 1930 generation passed, it will not be different with that. And what can we learn from this? The world passes, and its glory also, tournaments, medals pass, but know A fascinated me whose glory will never pass this is Jesus and in this we can understand the love of God: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 thing that hasn't changed throughout the years is immediately looking down at your bat after you've hit the net.
A trick: you can watch series at flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Armani Kenneth Yup, been using flixzone for since november myself =)
@michael it’s called RACKET
Video quality in 1930s seems to be better than today
Maybe ittf still uses the same camera than 80 years ago.
Sorry, but the frame rate is rly better, but who needs fps in the fastest sport existing (exept for badminton)
It's because you need three pixels for creating one Color.
You only need one pixel for a black /white color.
That's why black/white screen were way sharper than the colored ones that came out after
@@crocker7687 The difference is that it is 2018 now and ITTF still have camera's that make it look 2006
@@HarryWizard that's a reason too 😂
0:30 early footage of Joo Sae Hyuk
One does not simply make a table tennis evolution video without showing Xu Xin. He is the epitome of table tennis endurance and feet movement
0:58 look at this fancy crowd and location. Seems like an Pre-Oscar-Event.
Needed Wang Hao's RPB and over the table backhands from ML and ZJK
what do you mean by over table backhands?
Tuấn Trọng Đào banana flicks.
Amazing Video! Keep up the good work :) . The jump from 2002 to 2009 was too big but still great.
This is great video! And I liked your music choice. Maybe for the more modern table tennis you should have shown more of the China team, because that point when they became almost unbeatable was for sure a evolution of table tennis🏓🏓🏓🏓🏓🏓😉

in the 2010's you have to talk about the backhand flip.. that's the evolution of the decade..
Where is FORREST GUMP
haha
In our hearts, of course.

the video is 4 minutes long...not everything made the cut.
Correct me if i am wrong but the Clip of the 80's showed wladner against a Chinese penhold short pips player or not?
@@marvingeheim8513
Yes. Xie Saike. Period classic Chinese penhold pips-out attacker.
Most techniques used today were developed by the Japanese in the 60's and the Europeans(the Hungarians in the 70's and the Swedes in the 80's-90's).The pips and antispin styles were marginal techniques only used by the Chinese and have been phased out since the late 80's.

Thank you so much :D

Yes I know, I will do videos more longer :) Thanks for your commentary dude ;)
u could say it in shorter-before and after that chinise monsters come
Max Druno haha
Last rally was just amazing
I enjoy this evolution of table tennis,I also play table tennis.
Thanks for the video and it’s a good attempt. Still a lot of legends players missing. Hope you can do a follow up with longer version and more players.
nice video but u shud include how wang hao and LGL revolutionize the RPB in 198X to 199X era.
Really awesome. Thnx for sharing
Nice video♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
1970 brought a lot of change to the game
I liked how they looped back then.
I sure miss that sound of speed Glue
Great job, I liked to see more :)! Maybe with some comments what changed as time goes by (rules, rubbers, techniques/skills..). by the way: Samsonov at the end is my favourite :-)
Thanks! Yes it's a great idea, maybe put for exemple the time when the points changed (21 for 11 points) :)
That last point was legendary.
Why does the first few vids seem like there’s more rally than today
Dude all of my respect, but 2017 the runner up for the wttc 1997
Amazing vidéo !!! i'm crying xD
Waldner still on top whit Ma Long. Both are GOAT.
最後のスーパープレイ凝縮しすぎだろ笑
2:32 You can see how spinny the ball is
Where is ML vs Fangbo point in WTTC 2015? Was that skipped because that point will make the 2017 evolution highlight look bad?
Good job. Could lead to a lot of debate.
Yes with the rules changement and so many other things... :)
Thanks, might want to mention equipment changes when they occured , rule changes, and the
ball size change, Thanks again.
2017 with Samsonov is hardly representative of the state of TT in 2017
link to the last video in full length pls =)
th-cam.com/video/BSweUO3kt5c/w-d-xo.html
You're welcome :)
perfect. ty mate
And now Ma Long is the GOAt and Waldner second
I just see that they had a great camera perspective until the 90s and then changed it to pong.
3:50 I did :)
Hahaha those spins in 1930 😂😂😂 ridiculous how much table tennis changed over the years
Good vid..
how did they have better cameras in 1930 than 2017
1980's - Young J.O. Waldner
Yes right
Can't believe there's no Forest Gump in here!!
Isimemen Oriaifo my thought exactly 😂
1930, 1940 reminds me of my club
Creative but not long enough. Also, 1930s look very comical.
Thanks for you commentary :)
Keep up the good videos. I would love to see more high quality compilations
For pimples without sponge, not bad ))
They both look like stroke victims.
Oh~my GOD!! Is the man in red at 1:34 young He Zhi Wen (何志文)? Look at that serve, the way how he stands, and tricky backhand, even the habit of touching his shorts after each score just confirm the fact. wow.
Xie Saike.
Main jump in the sevetnies.
very Good

around 2015 would definitely be that ma long vs fang bo match--I think you know which video I meant...that was the epitome of offensive vs offensive table tennis
where is waldner?
At 1:33 you can see Waldner when he was young :)
Nice concept but poorly executed. Samsonov in 2017 he played the final in the wttc in 1997. Ma lin in 2009 played the final in 1999. Very nice idea but the wrong players
1980s, WALDNER FOREVER!
So what changed since the 80s?
Two colours rule. Short service toss ban. Hidden serve ban (twice). Speed glue ban. 40 mm ball, then 40+ poly ball. 11 points games.
Where Zhang Jike and Ma Long? Dont you know them? They got WTTC winner two times. Dont you know them?
John Hilton?
1:39 you have taken the clip from M TORDAS
u cant complete the evolution without LGL, wang gao, ma long & xu xin...
Nice vid basically. Calling it "evolution", however, is in my opinion a bit misleading. Up to maybe 1990 the vid clearly shows same kind of evolution. But afterwards, I don´t see that, although the game has in fact undergone changes, yet, not that striking as before.

Whats the use of the thumbnail😂
Table Tennis was more entertaining before speed glue ban.

nao gostei da escolha dos pontos mais recentes, baixa qualidade e a maioria era de bola levantada... nao representa o tenis de mesa atual
But Samsonov is still here and plays well
Young waldnerr
2015 better than 2017
1990=2000=2010=2015
You can see how vladimir is so bad now that he doesnt have the legendary genius sound
Evoluation ? İt did not change ....
in the 70s we used wooden racquets - watch Xi Enting vs Antun Stipancic
the tennis was better
Where is ma long?🤔
The video sucks coz is very European, if you want to talk about the evolution on TT, need to show the good players from the whole world, from China, Japan etc...
good!!
Very interesting, this video is the evolution of table tennis but without Chinese players. Ha Ha
2018?
Samsonov the boss...😁😁
WHERE IS J.O WALDNER
1:32
good
An evolution of table tennis video with barely 2 Chinese players? Is this a joke? Just the penhold evolution alone should at least include LGL -> MLin -> WH -> XX...
They look faster when they play in the nineties
The height of the speed glue / 38 mm ball era. Ridiculously fast combination.
なんだこのカットマンキラー
evolution of table tennis without showing Ma Long or even Fan Zhendong???? This is so fake news!
荻村伊智朗が入ってないやん
Good job, But not clear enough, Should give more comments on how the techniques changes.
Yes you're not the first to say me this, I will put more precisions on my next video. Thanks for your constructive commentary by the way :)
PingPassion Cool! looking forward to your new videos.

More like evolution of camera
uhh the rise and and shine off china...
Why is the intro so long and boring.
