@@bryanwells4063 His backhand is powered by mainly his incredible wrist resulting a small motion with sudden effect. If he can reach certain consistency level, he will be the next big backhand.
Here are the best backhands imo: Kreanga, Karakasevic, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao, FZD & Darko Jorgic. Honourable mentions: Oh Sang Eun, Pitchford, Harimoto, Calderano, Dima & Liang Jinkun.
@@Keldeo-gx I think it's more of the change to counterattack being dominant. the 38mm celluloid balls along with speed glue made the game pretty damn fast, so defensively playing was much more of an option. With how much harder it is to hit and spin the larger plastic balls, rapid backhand counterattacks that make use of the opponents power are dominant.
Try to be more confident, FZD is the successor of all the backhand monster players, (wang hao, ZJK etc), i even saw a 16 minutes TH-cam video not long ago, purely showcasing the power of FZD's backhand
I don’t say Timo’s is bad but he is still traditional forehand dominant. He can win points with great backhand execution but in overall backhand is his weakness
I disagree partially. Timo had a quite weak backhand when He was young but he improved it a lot. This is one of the reasons he still is active on a high level. Decreasing speed can only be equalized with flexibility.
I think Liam is incredibly easy to notice how goo it is. From practicality FZD is a league on its own. But Harimoto's backhand has led him to the top. The fast tempo and the course selecting is just genius.
This guy made list on his youtube channel. He could put himself of one of his friends on it, it doesn't matter. It's like a facebook status or tweet, basically an opinion. So this is his list if you think differently *make your own*
Where's Lin Gao Yuan ? In terms of efficiency and speed he deserves to be in this list, tbh I don't get why so many people consider Calderano's backhand as great while it's not super stable like it depends so much of if he's in a good day or not while the others are way more stable than him, even in a bad day they can still pull off something from their backhand
Esta es mi lista: 1. Fan Zhendong 2. Lin Shidong 3. Kreanga 4. Hugo Calderano 5. Karakasevic 6. Persson 7. Lin Yun Ju 8. W. Hao 9. Schlager 10. Oh Sang Eun
Worthy mentions from this best of bh list is definitely Karasevic, Jorgic, Franziska, Lin Gaoyuan, Lin Shidong, Jorge Perrson and Noshad Alamiyan among others. Noshad anyone ??.. Sadly, l don't see him on anyone's list ..😮
Kreanga has the most power but he does it farther away from the table. Fan is the closest in power but he’s closer to the table! Lin Yun Ju is amazing as well! Pick your poison
IMO: Two players who do not have anything special/spectacular backhand, and do not belong to this list are: harimoto, and hugo. Harimoto is just little quicker at the ball on table on the backhand. Any top level player, in top 100 ranking, can hit their level/type of backhand. FZD: has the short, wrist driven strokes, very powerful flick and flick oriented backhand topspin, the sudden explosion of FZD is not matched by anyone, and a delight to watch - so he is above others, except Kreanga. Kreanga: is undisputable king of backhand, in my assessment. Just look at the power, hook, fade, on the table, away from the table, regular stroke variations and surprise element. Way before Chinese learned the philosophy of power from ground he was driving immense backhand power from ground/body. Karakasevic: many others are mentioned as left out in comments but this one is the most serious. No backhand list should be complete without him - his is very thought out, placement oriented and methodical backhand player. Not as spectacular to watch as FZD and Kreanga, but on par overall quality.
I don't think these are necessarily ordered i.e. ranked as I can't see numbers attached each player. Kreanga's is really beautiful in not only volatility but versatility. He treated the BH almost like novelty/fun, had such good control even on balls you wouldn't consider easy to work with. Ability to hit good blocks and parry shots with ease make him like a magician on that wing even before seeing the cannonballs he can unleash at will.
Don't Worry Everyone, I will make a Part 2 with all those players that you mentioned that I forgot to include here.
Stay Tuned.
Ждём вторую часть, обещанную больше года назад. Обязательно в него должны войти Дарко Йоргич, Александр Каракашевич и Ношад Аламьян.
Fan Zhendong’s backhand is on another level. Monster backhand.
yep. Insane
100%
It looks brutal with great placement
Than you are not a table tennis guy surely because there is a guy named kreanga 😊
@@amasswarnabh5576 i know him and he does have a monster backhand too. But im giving credit to FZD here, not taking anything away from Kreanga
Karakesevic. His backhand's monstrous, and is up there with Kreanga's as the best attacking backhands I've seen.
I definitely agree
By far the 2 best backhands
Yes. Cosidering his success compared by non-backhand-skills, oh man
except fan zhendong and every other top modern player can hit with the same power and a MUCH MUCH shorter stroke.
Harimoto backhand is not special
Prime zhang jike backhand was something else 🔥🔥
Darko Jorgic should be included. He beat Harimoto in Tokyo Olympics.
You are right! Darko has the most effective backhand of all players in the world..
No. The most effective backand has Noshad Alamian from Iran. He won the bronze medal Asian games in singles playing only backhand side.@@MrKChris1
Hugo Calderano and your two-hands backhand signature.
It’s all fun and games until you see FZD backhands, man those seemed to have a different speed limit ❤️🔥❤️🔥
New best backhand is lin shidong. Mini fan zhendong! 😂
Lin yun ju flick hit different too
In terms of pure power and pace, yeah, Fan is in the league him alone.
@@bryanwells4063 His backhand is powered by mainly his incredible wrist resulting a small motion with sudden effect. If he can reach certain consistency level, he will be the next big backhand.
@michaelshaw2786 the speed he gets in such a short motion is insane
Here are the best backhands imo: Kreanga, Karakasevic, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao, FZD & Darko Jorgic. Honourable mentions: Oh Sang Eun, Pitchford, Harimoto, Calderano, Dima & Liang Jinkun.
Agree more than the video
Lin Shidong and Patrick Franziska are on fire now with their backhands too..
where's lyj?
(Darko Jorgić)
is one of the strongest back-hands in the world
Top 10 list of backhands without Karakasevic and Jorgic is pretty unrealistic 😅
Can name so many: ovtcharov, Franziska, steger, jorgic.
Harimoto's backhand is fast but lack power
You included Calderano, but not his two-handed backhand shots? :D
Such an awesome compilation. It's accurate. These backhands are the backhands we dream of.
Top 3 backhand in my list: Zhang Jike, Fan ZhenDong and Wang Hao.
In my opinion:
Best backhand quality: Zhang Jike
Most consistent backhand: Fan Zhendong
Most powerful backhand: Kalinikos Kreanga
Fan has a more explosive backhand rather than consistent. I’d say Ma Long or LYJ is more consistent.
Consistent backhand cant be ma long.
Harimoto has a more consistent backhand than ma long.
Hugo Calderano!
Most exclusive backhand, Hugo Calderano!
@@nnamdichrisume9384 close to the table is Harimoto, I agree.
Andzrej Grubba, Erik Lindh, Peter Korbel (legend forerunner of today's backhand), Alexander Karakasevic,
I love those swinging backhands. Don't see it much anymore.
Modern tt play insanely fast and they need quick react with less step execution shot I think

Timo's don't give me there backhands are classic🔥🤣
Zhang jike !!! ❤️🔥
Honorable mention: Liu Guoliang, the inventor of the RPB and single handily revolutionized the penhold playstyle
Kreanga was the reason I wanted to improve my back hand. Nowadays it is my main powerful skill
Where is Dima?!
Seriously. One of the best
The best Backhand is Hugo Calderano from Brazil. His Backhand is sensational and proved to be better than Fan Zhendong's in 2018

Wang Hao has best backhand. Who agrees with me?
Good
They are all very good back hands
that topspin is crazy
I LOVE backhand. Verry gut.
kreanga the backhand goat
Fan Zhendong nr 1 for me
LJK also could be in list, and of course ovchtarov
Amazing
Kreanga is more in killer backhand whereas karakasevic is more in ball placement backhand.
the best is Lin Yun-Ju, because it's his style.
His flick is so nice
Aleksandar Karakašević

小林同學加油!Lin young boy, go,go,go!
Noshad alamiyan have a best back hand ln the world ❤❤❤

Where is Ma Long, Xu Xin and Michael Maze? 😅
where is adrien mattenet?
