Wow! Thank you for the kind words Jim! I try hard to make them look solid. It’s something I enjoy while making these videos. Just need to keep improving where I can. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
As a Coros user, I really appreciate this video. Though I was aware of these features and use many of them, it was nice to see all of them in action. One other thing that Coros does well is strength training. I value creating strength workouts with specific exercises, assigned weight amounts, and target reps. The watch will guide you through the program and count your reps for you. If you don’t create a strength program in advance, you can select the muscle group you are training as you go and again the watch will count your reps.
I don’t lift a lot but need to hit the gym more frequently. How accurate would you say it is at counting your reps? Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand I’d say the accuracy of the rep counting depends on what you are doing. It is surprising accurate if you are doing simple movements (e.g. bicep curls) but will struggle when you string multiple movements together into a single rep. Garmin is similar although my experience suggests their algorithms react differently when there are pauses in movement. In either case because I am someone who follows a program most days, I like having that program on my wrist.
Exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks. Most reviewers only talk about how the watches work with running and not strength or anything else. Trying to decide between this watch, the polar unite, and the Garm 55 or 165.
This video made me realize how much value Coros watches have. I have a Coros Pace 2, and I still get updates for the latest features! The only thing missing on mine is the ability to store and play music. Thanks!
I will say that music playback isn’t a hugely valuable feature. MP3s are a bit hard to fine these days and I tend to bring my phone with me on most runs anyway. It’s just easier. I’m a big fan of COROS updating older watches with the latest software. Some companies don’t do as good of a job at this. (Garmin 👀) Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I think that’s a good call. I have a Polar M3 video coming up in a few weeks and it’s decent but it definitely not perfect. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Love the exposure Coros is getting through your great videography! I started off buying a Garmin Epix 2 Pro, for a good deal when the Fenix was announced. Wore it for a week or so then decided to return it and go for a Pace 3. For me, the only downside was losing the flashlight. The Pace 3 works so much better for me in every other way. It's lighter, battery life is far better, the mip display is more than sufficient.. I could go on, and I will. The digital crown is a far superior navigation tool, and doesn't ever activate when I don't mean it to. The app is crisp and gives all the right information in a readable and easy to process format. Honestly the thing I like best is the actual logical and intuitive menus and activity screens. For me, garmin was just all over the place and really not an easy interface to learn, despite working in IT with usability. Fun topic to cover too, Matt, I didn't know about the group workout, or the personalised training plan, so thanks!

Great video, Matt! Knew and use most of these features, but haven’t tried the group tracking featuring or mirroring to your phone. COROS is killing it with software. Their app is simple yet powerful for diving deep into the data. The watch UI / scroll wheel is so easy. Would love better watch faces and a flash light like Fenix has, but neither of those are worth paying double the price. I have the COROS APEX 2 Pro, which is crazy good value - $450 for titanium with sapphire glass, dual-band GPS, and 3-4 weeks of battery life for me running 30-50 miles a week. It should be one of the main widgets if you scroll down from the home screen. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
Tempted by a coros maybe the new vertix 2s but I’m slightly addicted to buying smart watches 😅
Me too!!! 😂 I’m going to go broke making these videos for this channel. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrandthanks mate great video and you do great reviews 👍
@@tomdwyer5695 Thanks Tom!
What is your personal watch that you wear when you’re not reviewing watches?
Well, I’m always reviewing watches. I actually wear two watches at all times to test as many watches as possible.
Coros is so good at battery life.
So true. They do a few tricks to max it out for even their entry level watches and it’s so nice not having to charge a watch super frequently. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
No surprises here. But thanks anyways.
Yeah, I think I should have gone much more obscure. Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
@@mlegrand And new firmware public beta today!! Love update day!!
@@nathanenns - Maybe I should have saved this for one more week?!?
I like adding music to my Apex2, but converting music files to mp3 is annoying.
I agree. The public audio books are pretty amazing but I typically just run with my phone and listen to podcasts. Thank you for watching these even if there wasn’t a ton of new information here for you!
I switched my Garmin watch for a Coros Pace 3 last week, it's so much better. I think Garmin is highly overrated.
Awesome! Glad you're enjoying the COROS. My guess is that you switched from an oder Garmin giving you the impression of COROS being better than Garmin which I'm not sure is a fair comparison but COROS is making some fantastic watches!!! Thank you for watching and taking the extra time to comment. I really appreciate it. 👍
I need a new watch and sadly I find the "G" brand far to expensive now .. really considering the Coros Pace Pro 🤔 Wished they have brought out an Apex type version with AMOLED as-well 🥹
I'm guessing they will if this Pace Pro does well. I will say at this point, I like the Pace Pro more than the Apex series. 🤷🏻♂️
