I had a signature I wore year round for years. I'm now discovering new frags for different seasons, weather patterns, times of the day, moods, etc. I don't think I'll ever return to one signature scent. Thanks for exposing me to new brands and accords. AdP is a fairly recent discovery and a new love.

Encre Noire in the summer. Yes yes and yes!! People (reviewers) keep saying that is dark, gothic, funeral appropriate etc and what I get is a beautiful beautiful vetiver. Definitely not a fresh take on Vetiver but beautiful and really easy to wear. Nice list!

Ahh so excited for a new video from you, I just love your taste and the way you express your thoughts about fragrances... Will have to pick up a sample of Habanita. For this summer I've bought a little bottle of Ma're by Jazmin Sarai, the freshest intoxicating sea breeze carrying citrus and cedar and bright green cypress, the eastern Mediterranean in a bottle, I'm obsessed!

Wow Encre Noire is a great choice for the summer. I do enjoy this one, I still kinda struggle with it. My vetiver journey has been the same though, it's definetly way more of a love now.

Loved the video! I definitely am interested in a desert fragrance video. You could talk about ones for westerners and ones for people who are already familiar with those scents. I am always interested in dry spicy scents.
I would love to see a desert scent video. I live in the Southern California desert where it got up to 120°F yesterday. I also love wearing Encre Noire during the heat along with Narciso Rodriguez for Him and Estee Lauder Knowing because they make me think of cooler weather. Some dry scents I like to wear when it's hot out are Sables by Goutal and Infusion d'Oeillet by Prada. I need to try that Rose on the Shore...I also love Eau de Protection by ELdO during the heat. Thanks!!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on Memoirs of A Perfume Collector’s Beyond The Pashtun Summit. Really challenging, funky oud scent, but I keep being drawn back to it. There’s something very familiar about it that I can’t put my finger on.

Excited as always when a new video from you pops up! Please try Fleur de Sable by Liquid Imaginaires. No one talks about it but it reminds me of being in the desert. It’s an ambery, Rose with a cayenne pepper note. Also, I had to laugh when you said y’all. I’m from Texas so I guess I say it so much I don’t even think about it. 😂❤
Would love to get your take on Encre Noire Sport. Its a little on the nose as a summer experience but it’s really well done as well.

I am addicted to Victoria-I love the tart lychee accord. Really evokes ripe, sour jungle fruit. She’s so unusual. I’m a die hard tuberose lover and this is one of the most abstract takes on tuberose in my collection yet! I’ve tried Cuir Pampas-I agree, a wonderful leather. Pulled quite masculine on my skin in but the dry down oh myyy I couldn’t stop sniffing myself. Teisenddu is my next Frassaï full bottle purchase. A very interesting, aromatic, warm, smoky gourmand. Like ash from incense sticks with slightly singed brown sugar, aromatic, spicy and boozy nuances. It’s incredible. Yes Frassaï have a little bit of magic in their blends and is becoming one of my favourite houses of the moment.

Thanks! I get tired of summer fresh citruses. I want to try Des Cendres now! By the way, you look so beautiful. You always look so beautiful, but extra striking today. It's funny to me to hear you say "y'all" because you also have such good pronunciation in other languages and have no accent to your English. I'm from the southeastern U.S. and I say "y'all" probably 50x per day, and I know I have an accent.
Have you ever tried Megamare by Orto Parisi? I love wearing it in the summer. Smells like the salty, dark sea with a hint of jasmine. I like to layer it with Hermes Santal Massoia. Massoia smells like a milky fig with coconuts but not coconuts in the notes. I did it by accident one day and it was a hit.
If you like dry, spicy fragrances, may I suggest Swiss Arabian's Areej al Sheila? There is rose in there, but I find the dry spices to be dominant. I have been trying out some of the lighter scents from Imaginary Authors right now, because I live in a hot, humid climate that's especially swampy at the moment. Last summer I lived in Skylar's Salt Air because it was all I could stand to smell. So refreshing!
