I'm glad you finally discovered ERIS, and thank you for the involved and thoughtful impressions. Please do try them all on skin and give them time to evolve. The impressions you got from Belle de Jour and Scorpio Rising will be more legible on your skin...you may still not be crazy about either, but you never know! Re: Night Flower, I wouldn't have believed it myself until I did an event, but this (and I imagine all of the ERIS fragrances and perhaps all perfumes in general) smelled wildly different from one person to the next. On one person, NF's tuberose came out most prominently. On another, the tonka bean and spices. And yet on another, it smelled like smoke was emanating from her skin. It was crazy! I get these reviewers have so many to go through and time constraints etc.
However I think to truly reviews a fragrance you should wear it or experience it for a full day on its own.
These guys do a better job than most, but some reviewers are the equivalent of a movie critic watching a movie trailer and reviewing it.

I was at Indigo Perfumery in Cleveland yesterday and had the chance to try the entire line (I was already addicted to Green Spell & Mxxx and wanted to try the rest). Ma Bête made me smile because I pictured a beast returning home after running through the forest. A couple came into the shop looking for an animalic but wearable perfume. I suggested Ma Bête and they left with a sample. We all appreciated the fragrance immensely. I left with a sample of Belle de Jour, which I have been wearing all day. It makes me feel so sophisticated and beautiful. I regret not purchasing a full bottle, a mistake that will be remedied soon.
Thank you for sharing Eris with the world. Your fragrances have uplifted my spirits and put a smile on my face. I look forward to discovering what comes next!
Recently discovered Eris . And was charmed by Green Spell. I've been going after anything Antoine Lie is connected with. He's a favorite perfumer of mine. I appreciate both of your takes on this house ✌🏻
He is certainly one to follow. I think he was one of the first perfumers whose name I learned, shortly after Sectretions Magnifiques came out.
Love this house (and Barbara’s writing). Night Flower was my first purchase (I get spices and tobacco flower though I don’t think it is a note), Green Spell will be my next (tho it is bright and energizing and green, it feels a bit goth to me… maybe the advertising worked on me). I DO want to smell like tomato leaf!! Ma Bête + Mxxx are so sexy as they warm on skin I’m not sure I’d wear them to work (this is high praise). Excited to try Scorpio Rising. Thanks for this video + your intel in general.

Greetings from the US! I admire the way you guys grapple with a perfume, spend time lingering over it and really working to understand it. It’s not easy to do, as we all know, and it’s refreshing to see channel hosts put in effort instead of tossing out a few limp adjectives before moving on. Thank you. Great video! Sampled the house and and walked away with night flower! I read a lot of reviews mentioning the lack of tuberose but I get quite a lot of it; except I feel it’s like woody tuberose where the top half of the tuberose “pitch” has been “EQd” out.
I bought Ma Bete, no regrets at all. It somehow brought Mem to mind.

Great video! I could not get my head around Belle de Jour at all. I absolutely got synthetic new carpet too. Ma Bête is glorious, and I own that and Green Spell. Night Flower really reminded me of Musc Ravageur. Mxxx may be my next purchase.

Always enjoy your reviews. I dismissed belle de jour when I first tried the line but have come back to it in summer and it works perfectly for those who want a slightly animalic sent that can be worn in hot weather.

I am really enjoying your no nonsense approach to fragrances. Your enthusiasm for artistry really shines through and you both compliment each other very well. Anyway, I would like to suggest you try Hinkoi Wood by Amouroud. I have found a few of their fragrances very good and not overpriced. They are part of the large group Perfumers Workshop and I do find some are not so unique but still very good,, in fact a few of their fragrances seem to be following a Tom Ford vein. However Hinoki Wood is like nothing I have smelt before and very interesting. Look forward to your next video. 😁

Buying night flower. Your green spell description is spot on but I think with all of these you need to try on skin

Night Flower is all Musc Ravageur for me
I’ve seen that lots of people compare it to Shalimar and MR. I certainly get the tonka and musk relations, although neither of those perfumes really leapt to my mind

the musk in Night Flower actually reminds me more of Molinard's last iteration of their Musc (the bottle with the rounded shoulders). on me it wears with a slightly sour tang, which I really love. 🤤
I never picked up on the relations to Musc Ravageur either. I always thought that association was funny.

you need to wear Mxxxx and Scorpio Rising, cannot tell on the test strips, you need to experience them, Barbara Herman has got something very special with Eris Parfums and you're not reviewing these parfums properly! Go back and wear all these, then do another review!!

This house seems very below the line and doesn't look anything unique. "After 2 hours, nothing is left" is the touch tone NOT TO BUY.
Since filming I’ve bought a bottle of Ma Bête and LOOOOOVE it!
Ma Bête was the same for me - I bought one almost immediately after draining the sample! it seems to resonate well with connoisseurs.

The Sample set is with me now! Not sure what’s going on but Green Spell after the lovely green tomato opening starts to disappear quite quickly sadly. Maybe to to do with Autumn rolling in in the UK? Ma Bête is the opposite so far..it’s now getting really creamy and is quite a lovely slightly old fashioned scent…winner. I like Belle De Jour…not sure if it’s mine to actually wear or just to smell…but it’s only been 30 mins or so. There’s a fruitiness to Belle De Jour which I’m starting to get now. Green Spell is remaining quite close to the skin atm for me.
