The problem is that too many are choosing to be childless, and thus there aren't enough babies being born to support an aging population.

@@stephenh.4476 this is why immigration is so important for developed countries, as your natural born populace chooses to have less children you have to import more tax payers.

As a man, I worked hard to provide for my stay at home wife and children. For men today, with so many women not wanting children and a family, I don’t blame many for going their own way. Video games do seem to be a better alternative.

I started my home cull yesterday
52 boxes of useless things full of sentimental value but no use to my life went to the tip today out of my loft ,I have one box of truly sentimental items, I just can’t part with
One Christmas tree and some lights and a box of tree ornaments
So from 52 big boxes to three I’m very proud
    Tomorrow I start my bedroom
It’s not an easy thing to do

Hi Nicole, your comment about kids was right on. I raised three kids and now I'm watching my daughter raise two kids. To be honest, raising kids is the hardest job anyone will ever have. There's lots of joy with it, but there are also a lot of problems And stress. I think women are raised to believe they're not complete unless they have children. That is just not true. I'm glad you have the courage and wisdom to know what you want or don't want and the courage to follow through on that. We need more people like you, to be open and honest, and not be afraid to say their opinion. We also need to respect each others opinions. Bravo!

I have a feeling that the saying, 'Barefoot and pregnant' could have been coined for many of those in the US, especially men, who have been so hell-bent on pushing for the overturn of Roe v Wade. As a strategy for keeping women down it is without parallel. The beauty is that society has collectively agreed to stigmatize women who don't want children. The whole witch-burning boom in the Middle Ages was, in part, due to the suspicion of single, childless women, as being a threat to social harmony. Ensuring women were shackled in wedlock, and constantly taking care of children, removed them as competition to men for dominance, both economically, and politically.
Strong, independent, outspoken women scare entitled men to death.

I’m a mother and I agree with what you’ve said. There are joys and they become your family but raising them is hard and even when they’re adults you never know how quickly they will learn true independence despite how much you try to teach them.

I decided to not have kids, I don’t regret it. I had a stressful childhood and I would have to be a real jerk to inflict that on someone. Besides the world is going down the tubes, overpopulation is one of the issues. It’s condemning them to a life of misery.

We're so similar it's crazy! I'm 31, an only child also raised by a single mom.. didn't get a cousin until I was 12 (who I then saw maybe twice a year). I was always told growing up that I acted mature for my age and like a little adult. My mom also stressed the "no baby talk," and by the time I was school age, the speech teacher was impressed by my vocabulary and ability to keep up with adult conversations. I've also always been very frugal with my money, I guess growing up poor made me see creative ways to get by and still be happy. Even after I started making good money as a nurse, I still lived 'poor' so that I could save up and buy a house at 25. I like building my own wealth because my mom was never really able to do that for herself while raising me. Also, your views on kids... SAME. I have just never had the desire to factor in paying to take care of a child for two decades and all of the lifestyle sacrifices that come with it. I really wonder if our similar upbringings led us to similar paths in life! The more of your videos I watch, the more I feel like I'm listening to a long lost logical sister 😂

Canada is such a large and diverse country that it is hard to generalize about cost of living. *standing ovation* in regards to choosing to be childfree (not childless). As a 45yo who felt similarly (and like you happily have pets however never wanted child/ren) it's amazing how much we as women have to justify that we do not want children. Take it from me, it does get easier as you inch closer to 40 and people start asking about "will you have kids" question less. It's one of the benefits of being in you 40s is that no one bothers you with "are you having kids" question. Instead, it's "do you regret not having kids?" hahaha

I've been watching your videos and I so enjoy them. You r a breath of fresh air I this silly mislead world. I am 66 years old, a widow, a minimalist and a bit of a prepper. I would like to suggest to u to try a few of my habits. 1. I use vinegar and baking soda for all my cleaning and laundry, and wool dryer balls. My house contains no chemicals. I use no shampoos, conditioners, soaps or creams, and no makeup. I lean my body and hair with plain hot water. This may sound extreme to most people but I must say my skin is clear and soft and my hair is

And I continue... my hair is soft, smells fresh and is not dry or oily. This works for me but most people will not even try these methods as they have been brainwashed I to believing they need to spend tons of money on products which remove all thenaturL oils and then more products to replace the oils they've removed. Honestly, before we had thousands of different chemical and costly products to choose from we had plain naturel water.
There r many other habits I have developed over the years to save money and the environment, many of which u have talked about. Again, I enjoy listening to your ideas!

The market in Toronto was completely insane. I also bought a house over the pandemic, it wasn't a disaster by any means but all said and done I wish I had stayed where it was. Now with the interest rates and super slow market we are kind of stuck where we are for now. Good luck, it does get a little better as time goes by.

I follow the rule of "Buy in nice or buy it twice". If you buy cheap shit it will break and have to buy a better one any way. Pay a little more and save in the long run as get better use out of a middle range item.

I find your content quite enjoyable, but I do have some reservations. It seems like you navigate a delicate balance between frugality and what some might consider being overly cost-conscious. While I appreciate a good bargain, I remain unconvinced that an IKEA desk represents a wise investment, given that they tend to wear out quickly, especially with heavy use.

I just found you two weeks ago and watched a lot of your videos. Basically you are me😂 which is crazy. I thought there’s finally a person who thinks like me. Now you mentioned that you are an INTJ, I am not even surprised. Maybe that’s why there are a lot of similarities between us. I’m an INTJ too. Keep doing your videos. I love them all. As I see, other people too. ✌🏼

High end merchandise tends to be badly made. For myself, in your place, your place has little color in it. I'd get lengths of fabric from wherever, I don't know what's in Canada, but I'd put those on the windows. Just for color.

Me and my wife bought our vacation home but he rent the house we live in. We feel like we can leave at any time (move states or cities) also we don’t have to pay for any repairs or wear and tear besides our deposit. The vacation home is on a island in Texas and the cost of land there will only go up. We thought long and hard about that and seemed like a no brainer but society makes you believe you need to buy your house asap. I don’t think that’s the best answer for everyone.

I found your video re the 5,000 mark, I looked again and you are up at 37,000! You have really grown. I'll have to find your other "mark" videos. You are honest and refreshing. I was shocked to hear how expensive Canada is. I somehow thought USA was out of control and Canada was doing so much better. I love your speech, so many others hem and haw, uhh, ya'now, right?, etc. To me that's a sign of not thinking things through before opening your mouth. You seldom do that and I appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
