You’re right about learning to say “No”, it’s truly freeing when you can reject the things you don’t want to do. Now I only wish I could implement this at work lol

I will never understand why people are on their phone while they walk their dog. I bring my phone in case of an emergency but it is stashed in my pocket. I want to dedicate all my attention to my dog and to be aware of our surroundings, for the mental health benefits AND for our protection (she also is a scavenger and will eat anything on the ground so I have to be aware). I love that this is also your time to bond with Levi and to clear your mind.

Sleep, hydrAtion, meditation/ mindfulness and planning are severely underrated 🤓

One thing I have done to simplify my decision making is to meal prep one lunch x7 days. I don't mind eating the same thing seven days in a row, and this way I am chopping/cooking/assembling once instead of seven times.

    Yes sleeping is most important.

Your foot falling asleep while sitting on the floor IS NOT how it feels when you get old…hell I can’t get up and down from the floor 😂😂! You make me laugh on every video.

Totally agree about the decision fatigue point. Nuns and monks were on to something after all with their uniform clothing choices. I have found too that by pairing down my decisions and trying to automate as much of my life as possible it greatly reduces anxiety.

I do many of these habits! Reset the house, plenty of sleep, meal prep, minimal wardrobe, just say no, track money! Love your videos! Found you about a week ago and have been watching some of your earlier videos as well! Take care!

Sleep, sleep, sleep…my favorite thing! Last night was 9 hours. It’s a must for me and naps are my other thing about an hour a day.

I only grasped the most important one - ‘getting sufficient sleep’ - after early retiring. Prior to that, never, never I would have thought it would benefit me to the extent that it has.
It’s similar to the that zen master ‘budgeting habit’; paying *yourself* *first* . I should have applied that concept with respect to ‘sleep’ much earlier than I did. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Getting the sleep you need ‘down pat’ and only then, fit everything else around that is, the secret sauce to mood regulation and alertness. 😌
Ps - walking the dog (for me) is a very, very, very close 2nd 😉; it a ‘love’ multiplier 💕

I'm like you when it comes to sleep. I need a lot of it and get physically sick when I don't get enough.

Great to see you back! I missed the weekly habit of checking to see if you have uploaded. (see what I did there.)
All Great opinions on habits others could easily adopt into their lives, especially the money tracking and getting exercise regularly but figuring out a way to just clear your headspace like you do walking Levi.
A habit I like to focus on is not caring what others think or do which in turn holds you back from improving yourself, too much time spent dwelling on what others think about you and who you are/ what you do is wasted time.
You don't fit into the work click o'well.
You don't get smashed every weekend "your boring" o'well.
Not having the latest fashion trends o'well.

Livi is lucky to have such a caring human (if that isn't an insult!). Not having the delayed gratification habit is what has led to so much debt in our society -I wish it was a habit more folk had. I do all of these now and would add eat good nutritionally sound diet to the list. However it took me a long time to learn them. Well done for grasping these truths at an early age.

I really enjoy listening to you! You should do a podcast too :) I am also learning to say 'no' because I usually don't want to disappoint the people around me and I enjoy walking my dog too ;) I struggle with shopping and this will probably wont change, even if I admire people like you, who are happy with a few things...

Thank you, Nicole! I’m this one who works all day, reply my clients at midnight.. and frustrated with tiredness. Probably this is the reason.

So many weekends people are constantly inviting me to brunch, I always say I’m sorry I’ll be asleep lol.. and I’d rather just make my own food at home. I work nights so when anyone is like let’s do lunch, I’m like I can’t I need my sleep lol…. And I always clean up before bed. It’s a way of winding down after work.
    So, FELT.

I can definitely relate to the sleep one😂 thank you for such a good video there are a lot of things I have to learn from this. I’ve always believed that I could never be successful if I didn’t achieve work and life balance. it’s so nice to see that you really can say no to things that are not worth saying yes to and this is something I struggle with a lot so thank you for sharing these really useful tips
