    I see why Cait was excited after having had to use one of those manual fill twin-tub machines myself!

      It was a step above hand washing but the washing machine is the appliance of choice! It's been brilliant having it on board 💙

    It's great to see someone get excited about such a mundane machine that most houses have and is abused and neglected by us land based humans.. (at least until it goes bang and stops working) . Thanks for the video. p.s. such a nice view you have every morning . love it.

    Luv the way non-aussie born & bred try to say Ute. @11:50 Who's gunna complain? I'm sure Sam knows what will happen if he does, "Wash your Own". Figure you still have ~3.5K to catch-up to Sam's spend on the props.

      @@sailingwiththejamess Is Sam Au? I thought marriage sorted it. Or has he not made an honest woman of you.
      Your from wherever you wanna consider yourself from, the rest is bureaucracy.
      You'll prob have to answer Q's about Au most aussies don't know the answer to

      Sam is originally Kiwi 🥝 but came to aus as a child and is Australian Citizen 🇦🇺Marriage is helpful but not a guarantee to citizenship 🇦🇺 just waiting for ceremony date at this point 😍

    Special request for Charley's generation can you look into fitting some sort of micro plastics filter into the disharge pipe.. it will need regular clearing like washing ...but as its going direct into the water and you may well be eating fish caught in those waters....its a global and oceanic problem already .. its probably a good starting point. 🧙‍♂️🌍🇬🇧💙

    Is your new machine 240 volt.if so how does all the electronics handle inverter power.some digital equipment like microwaves don’t like it.I’m after a new machine for my 45ft cat.what is the name ,brand and price of the new machine.regards peter

    • @sailingwiththejamess
      @sailingwiththejamess  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Peter, 👋
      Yes 240V, we run the inverter to run the machine, the machine runs really well through the inverter, no changes to the way it runs 👏
      Some stats:
      61 litres a load
      Machinr: SOLT 6kg front loader
      (400mm deep)
      Purchased: The Good Guys
      Price: $399AUD
      Really really happy with the machine, the depth of 400mm is the brilliant thing so it fits in a tight space. Would definitely recommend.

    How heavy is this one??

    • @sailingwiththejamess
      @sailingwiththejamess  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The washing machine is about 60kg in weight, it wasn't too heavy for two people to manhandle getting onto the boat and down into the hull. It's working beautifully! 💪

      Did you consider the weight of the w/m that you are putting on your cat? Would a top loader fit? they are much lighter.

    • @sailingwiththejamess
      @sailingwiththejamess  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello! Yes definitely did, weight is super important to us!😆 I believe we probably could have found the right top loader to fit the area. We wanted to go with front loader as they typically are more water🌀 and energy efficient. This one has been working like a dream and we could highly recommend it 👍💙
