people are clearly underestimating the quranic ability to give details. If you want to know some quranic details, just read quran 2:282, 4:20-25, 4:10-12, 5:6, 2:180-190 and many more passages. Quran can give very detailed inheritance law in just 2-3 verses. That shows the power of Allah.
If the hadith was so important for the religion why didn't the prophet do it himself, why does every hadith have to be " i heard from him, who heard from him, who heard from him, who heard from the prophet or saw the prophet doing something". The prophet should have made his trusted companions write or thought them from him directly. The quran has no lies, but the hadiths have to many to be trusted. And the most funniest thing is how islamic schoolers think they can decide whats a true or fake hadith is, just because they have studied. who do they think they are to decide things about our religion, they are HUMANS incase a lot of you have forgotten that, yall seem to idolise your schoolers that you have forgotten allah, audhubillah min al shaytan al rajeem. Appreciate that Dr. Shabir qualifies that the Quran generally referenced the idea of following the prophet muhammad, and that humans have taken this further on their own. Because that is where this is heading. Name-calling. Hadith rejection is not simply a modern thing or an academic thing, it's been there from the beginning. With love and respect Dr. Ali, according to surah Baqarah, you as a Muslim da'i could be replaced with a Jewish rabbi and the speech would remain the same. You said Qur'an is not fully detailed, whereas there is an explicit verse wherein Allah says it is fully detailed You said hadith are necessary for understanding the Qur'an and that is what Jews claim about the Talmud (book of narrations) You speak about the Qur'an in a way that makes it seems deficient, yet you call it the word of God Please clarify Jzk kher Salam
There is a saying "The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory". Why did Allah and Mohammad not have his final revelation written down like previous scriptures of the Jews and Christians? Allah and Mohammad must have known that memorization alone was an unreliable method of preserving the Quran. The Jews and Christians had so much reverence for the inspired word of God that extraordinary care was made to record the word of God in written texts. Subsequently, memorization of the word of God was made so much easier with few mistakes! Jews and Christians FOUND NO NEED TO BURN MANUSCRIPTS or DUMP THEM INTO THE NILE RIVER as muslims did with the Quran. It is fascinating to note that there is NO HISTORICAL WRITTEN RECORD of a prophet called Mohammad until almost TWO HUNDRED YEARS after his alleged birth. This would be analogous to the world having NO written documentation of Hitler until the year 2089! The subsequent recording of his biography would then have to rely on memorized stories!! Without the hadiths which are NOT considered holy, the Quran makes NO sense! (Nonsense). I say this with respect to millions of Muslims who are being deceived and lied to about the doctrines of Islam. The Christian bible needs NO HADITHs for interpretation and is the complete and final written word of God. Dear Muslim, please read your Quran AND the Christian Bible and decide for yourself which is the word of God. Thank you.

people are clearly underestimating the quranic ability to give details. If you want to know some quranic details, just read quran 2:282, 4:20-25, 4:10-12, 5:6, 2:180-190 and many more passages.
Quran can give very detailed inheritance law in just 2-3 verses. That shows the power of Allah.
Ma sha Allah very good sencentetive speech
How can muslim be this blind. If there wasn't hadiths most schoolars whould have been jobless and most human on this planet whould have been muslims, because our holy qurans is peace and the truth for mindkind. For me schooler are just like the priests, yall relay to much on your schooler but they ain't going to save you on judgment day. So go back to allah and read the quran, stop acting like sheeps.
May ALLAH guides you all

Heyyyyy where is Dr. Ally's kuhfi ? (I hoped that's the correct term or is it a Taqiyah ?)
Appreciate that Dr. Shabir qualifies that the Quran generally referenced the idea of following the prophet muhammad, and that humans have taken this further on their own.
There is also a hadith in which the prophet clarifies he should only be followed in matters of religion. If someone could provide citation I would be grateful.
We should always rely on the quran first, most often, and most heavily.
If we Let the Quran Speak and Quran tells us that it's a clear book that explains everything in detail, why do we need hadith?
This question has been answered millions of times!
Aren't you tired of asking the same question over and over?
@@bf6724 Instead of saying that the question has been asked many times, you could have given an answer, if you know one.... Why do you need hadith if Quran claims it's clear and explains everything? Or maybe Quran doesn't explain everything so you need to go somewhere else to make sense out of it? I know I had to when I was reading it. Did you?
@@quintuslentulus6183 Firstly. What is the Islamic text that you made you think so?
@@bf6724 Quran 6:114. 16:89, 12:111 they all say Quran is clear and explains everything in detail. DO you agree?
@@quintuslentulus6183 Yes, of course, it means that the Qur’an revealed for every thing of the religion matters what the worshipers need in terms of origins and branches in the form of general outline rules.

With contemporary criticism of the life of Muhammad and citations of the Hadiths are Muslims allowed to reject them?
Most of Shiites reject hadith. For shiite, the word of their Imam and mullah more valuable to follow
We can’t just use the Quran there are too many problems if we just use just the Quran like the Quran says Jews worship Ezra Quran 9:30this is false if we use hadiths we know that there was a Jewish group in ancient Arabia which believed that Ezra was the son of god
@@royindrasyah4446 Shia’s don’t reject hadiths they have different hadiths books and hadiths
No, Muslims are not allowed to reject anything that us deemed as a Authentic Hadith. Why would we? Just because someone wants to twist a Hadith or even a Verse from the Quran, we are not going to reject it.
Seriously, this question makes no sense. This is the religion of Allah. Allah told us that we are going to be tested. There is no need to reject anything that is Authentic unless its not fabricated or weak then you must reject it.
Maansha allah
Dr Shabir Ally, could you please answer this question : When did Islam originate?
Great question! We'll pass it on to him and hopefully he will respond to it in an upcoming show.

So Sunni first imam was born 92 hijara, between that time and the last day Messenger of Allah lived among muslims , who was the imam?
Assalaamualaikum Shaikh Shabbir, is the Hadith about satan urinating in the ears authentic ? Is it used metaphorically here or is it literal ? Are all Hadith of Muslim n Bukhari authentic ? Jazakallah Khair
Correct
I would like to ask Shabir why do angles afraid to go in the house where their is photo of human bin ?

Do something on the highly untalked about subh prayer... what is it? Is it fard ? why isn’t it discussed or emphasized more? And difference from fajr if any
Subh is just the alternative name for Fajr used in the Maliki fiqh (and some other places). It is the exact same prayer.
Reading Quran = Praying
Reading hadith is not praying
Here the fact is on this video there is an ad of ex Muslims on beginning . It happens in most of the videos that's weird 🙄
Quran is not for memorising it is guide and Allah says that in Quran and there r so many verses of Quran which r repeatedly and it is not about being no space in Quran and Quran itself claims that is complete so when something is complete we can’t add something to it Inorder to make it complete.
They’ve abandoned the Quran bro all they care about is the Hadiiths

rassul or messenger =/= nabi or prophet. The quran makes a clear distinction. It orders us to follow the messenger not the prophet.
I don't think it necessary to grow a beard to show you are a muslim. Good muslim should be based on their chracter not the size of their beard. at the time of prophet Muhammad people grew beard to protect themself from the sun and weather. In the old days in America people wore boots becasue of the dirt road; today wear boots specially Cowboy boots will be ludicorous.
He is very correct understand quran but number are not important
It issad that with all the Hadith of how the Prophet pray we in Muslim community still fight over whether we should put our hands by our side, on our belly or on our chest. The Prophet tried so hard to creat unity in this disfunctional Umah and just look what have they done to each other. how true when in the book Mathew it say "the man foe in within its household".

1400 years of Chinese whispers game. You think Hadith are accurate? Riiiight...
They will address this in the next video.
That's a lazy understanding of hadith tradition.
I don't believe they're completely accurate but 1400 years is a straw man argument, muwatta of imam malik is
@@ByChoiceMuslim No it's not, lazy that is. 'Chinese whispers' is what you could sum it up as, I said 'sum up' not 'categorize' in every instance. What you call lazy is exactly, I guess then, what were countless intellectuals (jurists included, of course) during the Islamic Golden Age who rejected Hadiths wholesale. I mean really? Because that is where this is heading. Name-calling. Hadith rejection is not simply a modern thing or an academic thing, it's been there from the beginning. Orthodoxy won the day a couple of centuries into the second millennium of the Common Era, and that is why still today there is the pillar of Hadith in Islamic jurisprudence and, therefore, religion.

Where does he let the Quran speak anywhere in his episodes! Watch out for him and abu layth and yasir qadi they are NOT a reliable source of Islamic fiqh hadith or Quran traditions. We are Muslims we follow what Allah says and what the prophet says, unless he cites his sources his words have no weight
Just doesn't add up. Nobody bothered to write down and preserve the sayings and life events of Muhammad till centuries after? This is all obviously made up afterwards. In contrast, Jesus' followers ensured his life and sayings were written down and verified by the original generation that knew him.

With love and respect Dr. Ali, according to surah Baqarah, you as a Muslim da'i could be replaced with a Jewish rabbi and the speech would remain the same.
You said Qur'an is not fully detailed, whereas there is an explicit verse wherein Allah says it is fully detailed
You said hadith are necessary for understanding the Qur'an and that is what Jews claim about the Talmud (book of narrations)
You speak about the Qur'an in a way that makes it seems deficient, yet you call it the word of God
Please clarify

Thinking any writings are perfect is a quick was to q path that leads to bad and illogical things
Thank you.
Hadiths Bukhari are 200 years old. They do not have originals, they attribute to Bukhari. No documents before the 14th century. Verily, Islam is a construction of the Abassyds. The truth will set you free. Come and learn about Jesus!
