      Keep in mind when Mohamed pbuh passed away his companions were rulers of arabia and conquered Persia and Rome
      They were established and the companions were all over the Muslim world in mosques and schools teaching muslims about the hadith and passing it down from generation to generations
      Thsts how we have the chains if transmission

    • @tdackjordan5873

      So if you were a brand new Muslim after Mohamed pbuh passing away you would go learn your religion from the right hand men the companions of the prophet who interacted from him and learned the religion from him and passed it down generations with a established golden chain of transmission
      Your not just gonna go to anyone on the street who has no history or credibility or ever met the prophet or learned from the disciples to get your religion from

Some scholars are so stiff that I feel they push more people away rather than inviting them to be closer to Islam and don't seem to take modern circumstances into account but Dr Shabir Ally explains both sides well keeping the modern circumstances, Islamic rules and being logical is simply amazing. So if you look at this as a whole, Islamic law comes from the Hadith rather than the Quran itself. Basically we have to trust that there was nothing lost in translation/communication over 100 years of “word of mouth.” So we have to trust these “scholars” that they have everything right about what was said about the prophet. Meanwhile humans can’t remember what they ate for dinner a few nights ago, but word of mouth and rough notes are enough to govern our life?
    Why is it that we treat the Hadith like it is another revelation written by Allah after the Quran?
    We clearly do not have an accurate account of how the prophet lived his life. If we needed it, Allah would have preserved it.
    The only thing Allah preserved and what Muhammad gave his life for was and is the Miracle of the Quran.
    The Hadith are not from Allah, there is no revelation after the Quran no matter what any scholar says. Allah is the only rule maker.
    Where do you find Allah’s rules for life? In the Quran.

      I agree with everything you are saying, when they say that the quran dosen't have details about the prayer or other things, they are going against allahs word in the quran that "the quran is detailed and complete". The quran dosen't need to include rules and a manuel for everything about how to live life, allah choosed what's the most important, there is no need for allah to tell us how to eat and do the smallest things. And the other thing i can't seem to understand is when they say that the prophet explained things from the quran and that become the hadith, but where did the prophet get all those information about the things that are written in the hadiths, because last time i cheked allah gave the prophet only the holy quran through angel jebreel. Lets look at the whudu, since the quran dosen't say anything about how many times to wash yourself, where did the prophet get that information from because he didn't get that from allah and its not written in the quran?? its a big difference between explaining something and adding new thing. According to hadith followers they are saying that the prophet added a lot of new things and rules to the religion, but allah is the only one who can make rules???

    Hadith debate is probably the hottest topic in Islam today. Especially as people are more educated about what they say and can look them all up online. In the past the general Laymen just accepted them without questioning.

    • @mohamudahmed6554
      @mohamudahmed6554 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The layman still do. Hadith is a ancient field in itself that is systematic. You can't study it by simply goolging it. A layman can't even access most material since they are in Arabic.
      On top of that, the required studies before entering Hadith, Fiqh, Tafseer or any of the Islamic sciences is the study of the Quran i.e. memorization, its basic Tafseer, Aqeedah, Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadiths memorized and obviously, Classical Arabic grammar, morphology and eloquence.
      So no, no layman can access any of this unless they go through these studies first. That is why its extremely difficult to know what Hadith is what as a laymen, specially if there is complete lack of the Arabic language.

      @@mohamudahmed6554 I have a brain and logic and science, I don't need to know Arabic to know when a Hadith is nonsense. There is a hadith, that says you musn't sit between the shade and the sun because Shaytan sits there. And a respected Sheikh on youtube said it's authentic. Do you seriously believe that hadith? Because it's "Authentic". So if an "Authentic" hadith said the moon is made of cheese, would you follow it?

    • @mohamudahmed6554
      @mohamudahmed6554 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexojideagu Really? Allah says in Surah al Mulk that the Jinn are brought down by missles i.e stars. Science doesn't agree with this.
      So when you see stuff like this, do you use your intellect to judge what Allah said?

    • @mohamudahmed6554
      @mohamudahmed6554 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And you got nothing to say? So you use your limited intelligencr and logic to reject a Hadith based on its content rather than on its Authenticity. So now, are you going to apply the same thing to the Quran?
      And yes, Shaytan sits between the bright area and between the shadow. Its a Authentic Hadith. If i accept the existence of Jinn, why can't accept their way of sitting? Why can't i accept their wat of eating i.e. with the left hand? I mean, its illogical to claim to be a Muslim and then reject something that is beyond this natural realm. Did Allah give you the ability to see in the Unseen? No.
      Does science study the Unseen? No.
      So your rant about logic andn science doesn't make logically sense since you can't even apply this to the metaphysical realm.
      So you see how ignorant your statements are?
      Follow Allah and His Messenger alayhi salatu wa salam and how the Sahaba understood the Quran and the Sunnah, period.

      @@mohamudahmed6554 This is a fallacious argument and removes personal responsibility that is obligated of us directly from the Quran that we are fully personally responsible for how we practice Islam.
      For example, there is an entire website of the six books fully translated into multiple languages. There is a Quran, there are scholars you can turn to when in doubt. But to sit here and make the claim any individual is not capable of looking up a hadith and then comparing it to the Quran in this day and age is nothing more than silly gatekeeping.
      We live in 2023 not 1223. Islams entire purpose was to bring spirituality and deen away from clergy, from "leaders", etc and bring it directly between the individual and Allah SWT

    Salam
    I like dr Shabir, I can see he is really humble and there is no arrogance in him. He is soft spoken and wise... but... this is my opinion, don't take it as an attack lol...
    God made the religion simple. Then after that, muslims wanted details about everything and that made the religion so complicated. God said the quran is complete and has all the information. It means that we dont need specific details for everything.
    God didnt give details because THEY ARE NOT IMPORTANT. He gave the reasons why to do it. That's what matters.
    He said stand for salat, then stand for salat. He said bow, then bow. He said prostrate then prostrate. He said read the quran then read. He said glorify him, then glorify Him. How many raqua? It DOES NOT MATTER. He didnt say it because it does not matter. All that was a test to see if we would trust in God and the simplicity of His religion or if we will just add other rules to His religion and trust some hadiths.
    What tells us that the ones who compiled the hadiths and narrated them were not "munafeekeen". God said there were hypocrites sahabas living with the prophet. Read sura 8 and 9. But we assume they were all good and didnt forget or make errors or just lie. So we put our souls on the line trusting in hersays? True islam is corrupted. Like the jews before them corrupted it...
    and NO, obey the messenger does not mean to follow hadiths narrated by normal people like you and me who forgot, made mistakes or even lied for political purpose or for money. Dont forget that after the messenger's death there were alot of money to be made with hadiths. Imagine the situation, the messenger just died. You think there were no business opportunists in those times? What do you think God meant when talking about selling his religion for a small price? You will tell me He talked about the jews... but the muslims did the same. Alot of the criticisms God said about the jews in the quran... WERE REPEATED BY MUSLIMS. Don't you see?
    But however how I put it, muslims are too deep in this corrupted version of islam to wake up. They only follow the religion of their forefathers and scholars, taking them as lords beside God. Thinking they were all saints. Don't forget who corrupted the religion of the jews and christians.. It was scholars. But I know people will call me a kafir for what I say, not knowing what kafir truly mean in the quran. I am not trying to be negative. But muslims should start to really seek the truth and forget their egos. And question things. God gave us eyes, and ears and a brain. Will we not think, ponder and use logic?
    Salam

    If the hadith was so important for the religion why didn't the prophet do it himself, why does every hadith have to be " i heard from him, who heard from him, who heard from him, who heard from the prophet or saw the prophet doing something". The prophet should have made his trusted companions write or thought them from him directly. The quran has no lies, but the hadiths have to many to be trusted. And the most funniest thing is how islamic schoolers think they can decide whats a true or fake hadith is, just because they have studied. who do they think they are to decide things about our religion, they are HUMANS incase a lot of you have forgotten that, yall seem to idolise your schoolers that you have forgotten allah, audhubillah min al shaytan al rajeem. How can muslim be this blind. If there wasn't hadiths most schoolars whould have been jobless and most human on this planet whould have been muslims, because our holy qurans is peace and the truth for mindkind. For me schooler are just like the priests, yall relay to much on your schooler but they ain't going to save you on judgment day. So go back to allah and read the quran, stop acting like sheeps.

    I don't think it necessary to grow a beard to show you are a muslim. Good muslim should be based on their chracter not the size of their beard. at the time of prophet Muhammad people grew beard to protect themself from the sun and weather. In the old days in America people wore boots becasue of the dirt road; today wear boots specially Cowboy boots will be ludicorous.

    It issad that with all the Hadith of how the Prophet pray we in Muslim community still fight over whether we should put our hands by our side, on our belly or on our chest. The Prophet tried so hard to creat unity in this disfunctional Umah and just look what have they done to each other. how true when in the book Mathew it say "the man foe in within its household".

      @@ByChoiceMuslim No it's not, lazy that is. 'Chinese whispers' is what you could sum it up as, I said 'sum up' not 'categorize' in every instance. What you call lazy is exactly, I guess then, what were countless intellectuals (jurists included, of course) during the Islamic Golden Age who rejected Hadiths wholesale. I mean really? Because that is where this is heading. Name-calling. Hadith rejection is not simply a modern thing or an academic thing, it's been there from the beginning. Orthodoxy won the day a couple of centuries into the second millennium of the Common Era, and that is why still today there is the pillar of Hadith in Islamic jurisprudence and, therefore, religion.

In contrast, Jesus' followers ensured his life and sayings were written down and verified by the original generation that knew him.

    With love and respect Dr. Ali, according to surah Baqarah, you as a Muslim da'i could be replaced with a Jewish rabbi and the speech would remain the same.
    You said Qur'an is not fully detailed, whereas there is an explicit verse wherein Allah says it is fully detailed
    You said hadith are necessary for understanding the Qur'an and that is what Jews claim about the Talmud (book of narrations)
    You speak about the Qur'an in a way that makes it seems deficient, yet you call it the word of God

    There is a saying "The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory". Why did Allah and Mohammad not have his final revelation written down like previous scriptures of the Jews and Christians? Allah and Mohammad must have known that memorization alone was an unreliable method of preserving the Quran. The Jews and Christians had so much reverence for the inspired word of God that extraordinary care was made to record the word of God in written texts. Subsequently, memorization of the word of God was made so much easier with few mistakes! Jews and Christians FOUND NO NEED TO BURN MANUSCRIPTS or DUMP THEM INTO THE NILE RIVER as muslims did with the Quran. It is fascinating to note that there is NO HISTORICAL WRITTEN RECORD of a prophet called Mohammad until almost TWO HUNDRED YEARS after his alleged birth. This would be analogous to the world having NO written documentation of Hitler until the year 2089! The subsequent recording of his biography would then have to rely on memorized stories!! Without the hadiths which are NOT considered holy, the Quran makes NO sense! (Nonsense). I say this with respect to millions of Muslims who are being deceived and lied to about the doctrines of Islam. The Christian bible needs NO HADITHs for interpretation and is the complete and final written word of God. Dear Muslim, please read your Quran AND the Christian Bible and decide for yourself which is the word of God. Thank you.
