It is worth noting that using a detergent cleaner on a waffle plate is never recommended th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUfphIgghPSpAXNq6OG2WRYsFVqylcqMn though people who don't understand about kitchen hygiene won't understand that a stiff brush is all that is necessary to clean the inside of the unit. Let it cool slightly but still perform the cleaning while it's warm. I used to have a Black and Decker unit that I just loved, and was concerned when we had to replace it that I might not find one that I like just as much. This one does it for me.
Lesson I learned many years like 50? ago... Get new waffle maker, wipe with damp cloth or moist paper towels each time before you use it and after it cools before you put it away. NO DRIPS or it can ruin the unit. Turn on and heat up for about 5 min. Turn off let cool. When ready to cook, only the first time, use a pastry brush and very lightly apply a cooking oil, I use peanut oil but even melted butter works and only very lightly apply. Then heat till fully hot, I wait the first time for 2 cycles to heat up. The key to easy to remove waffles is the unit has to be HOT and you never again add oil and NEVER NEVER use spray oil like Pam etc. Those turn into a sticky mess when it sits waiting to be used again. Then you can't get them clean. You just make sure it's hot, then cook your waffle till no steam is coming out of the sides. If you pull it open and it sticks to the top or rips it wasn't cooked long enough. DO NOT add oil thinking that's what it needs. I've been doing waffles all these years and this never fails. If you have a stiff natural brush you can use that to knock anything off when done. It will look like new every time. I just bought one of the Elites and I like the grills are made from what looks like Nylon. Much better than the other stuff. Good luck!
Hey Jacqueline... Just saw this video as I am looking to buy this device. You are so funny! This was even posted on my Birthday, Yaaay Me, LOL. Thanks for the review.....
I have the same device and it's so disappointing that the waffles don't get golden brown color like in other devices. I tried waiting for a long time and the maximum color they get is yellow like in the video... Also they're not crispy, so disappointed
Great video. I bought one of these today & looking forward to making some waffles. I noticed you locked the lid when cooking your waffles. The instruction book said not to lock the lid to allow the waffle to rise. Your waffles looked great. I would think it's better to lock the lid.
Thank you! Oh, yeah.. I obviously didn’t read the instructions on making 🧇. Those waffles I made were good though! Please do let me know how you like your waffle maker! 😊
@@JaquelineC I made some waffles today. I didn't have any cooking spray. The waffles were a little unevenly cooked with a little burning on the waffles towards the front of the unit. I locked the lid as you did in your video. Hopefully I'll get better results when I use cooking spray.
@@Johncheee Hope your waffle tasted good though (maybe except the burnt part)! I actually went ahead and checked on the waffle a couple times while cooking because I didn’t want to burn mine. Fingers crossed for the next perfect waffle🤞🏻!
Hi! It would have been awesome to be able to have my secret recipe for waffles, but this one was Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Buttermilk Pancake 🥞 and Waffle 🧇 Mix with more butter than suggested on the directions. Happy wafflin’! ☺️👍🏻
@@JaquelineC thank you 😂 I made waffles for the first time yesterday and I was not impressed with the result🙃but I won’t give up. I prefer crispy and well cooked golden waffles 😍
Yeah, waffles are nice until you realise it's made from something that is not healthy eating at all! The waffle plates will probably get used a couple of times a month maybe? Careful that your hair doesn't stick to waffles!🤣 This feels like one of those mukbang videos!

Arent you supposed to change out the plates for various stuff?

Happy belated birthday! Let me know how you like the waffle maker :)
Good video, your music is competing with it, however. I find it irritating.
Is the non stick non toxic? No temperature control? I prefer ceramic coating with temperature control.
I had this question and called the company and they said it was non toxic and PFOA free.

Hello, would you mind sharing your waffle batter recipe ??
Hi! It would have been awesome to be able to have my secret recipe for waffles, but this one was Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Buttermilk Pancake 🥞 and Waffle 🧇 Mix with more butter than suggested on the directions. Happy wafflin’! ☺️👍🏻
@@JaquelineC thank you so much 💕
So cute❤
You are soo funny 😂❤. Thanks for the video ❤
How much time does it take for a waffle to fully cook? I am clueless 😞got this device recently
Welcome to team waffle maker! 😂 I would say about 4-6 minutes, depending on how soft or crispy you want your waffle to be cooked. Happy wafflin’ 👍🏼
@@JaquelineC thank you 😂 I made waffles for the first time yesterday and I was not impressed with the result🙃but I won’t give up. I prefer crispy and well cooked golden waffles 😍
Waow,I love it. Would you kindly let me know what make the machine is?
That hand reaching in to steal a bite LOLL
Hahahhahahahaha 🖐 🤚
Be careful using a metal fork on the grid plates, it can damage them. Best to use plastic spatula or plastic utensils... 🙋🏼♀️
You are absolutely right. Thank you! 😊
Omg thank god i found your video mine was delivered a while ago exciting to used it tom
Yay you found it! 😊
Are the plates iron or aluminum??
I believe they’re iron plates that are non-stick and dishwasher safe! 😊
Just read the use and care manual. Aerosol cooking spray should not be used. For plates of Waffles and grill, don’t use the latch.
Hi, what did you sprayed on the plates?
Hi! I used spray canola oil. I figured out I only need it for the first time after washing plates.
@@JaquelineC okay thanks, what alternative can we use?
@@NathaelleG17 If you don’t have spray oil, you can choose to brush on some oil or put a small piece of butter 🧈 on your plates!
@@JaquelineC thank you so much ✨
love from MCGI💕
Does this still work?
Yes, it sure does! :)

you will end up scratching the none stick surface if you continue to use that metal fork to lift the waffles out
Do cover you hair ,..not so much hygienic with that hair loose
Great Video with some Interesting ideas for a Waffle Maker.

Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊

Just wait for the food to cool 😊down It makes me feel bad for you lol💔
Haha yeah, they were pretty hot… Thank you😊
Use wooden fork not metal
Why do you have to act so childish? It is not necessary; just freaking do the video and that's it.
Good one but why are you being so greedy like you've been hungry for days
Cannot finish this one. Holy hell, the eating noises. Dial it back.
HORRIBLE. U dont even know how or when to use it
Who are you talking to? A four year old? A four year old can't buy this.
Yo y u look like the girl from squid game???
That’s so funny. Maybe because of the hair? 🤷🏻♀️
