Shiryu is fighting Zoro there’s no way you could completely go around it you did a really good job but as you said Sanji specializes in Observation Zoro doesn’t if Zoro is going to beat Mihawk ( who we know is advanced in all types of) he needs to get good at observation too which Shiryu can help him with.

So it’s pretty obvious that Luffy’s best counter against BlackBeard would be to use Ryou to avoid being grabbed by BB’s vortex.
But WHAT IF…
Since Haki negates DF powers…
That means that everytime Luffy hits BlackBeard, because he’s negating his abilities, it actually causes BB LESS DAMAGE since his abilities aren’t “absorbing the damage,” like it normally does.
Blackbeard is the real pirate of the One Piece universe. The one thing he and Luffy have in common is they both care for their crew. Blackbeard is cunning and chooses specific ones to join his crew. Not only did he choose wisely, he provided them with strong DFs. That's why he became a Warlord to gain access to Impel Down and went down to the lower levels to get strong individuals on his crew.
If I wanted to have a real-life of piracy. I'd go with Blackbeard. 💯

-both have connections to hell (shyriu was locked at the bottom of Impel Down, which is based off Dantes Inferno)
-Zoro has bad directional awareness, terrible againts Shyrius devil fruit
-Both have different ideas of Loyalty, Zoro loyal to the end, Shyriu loyal until Blackbeard falls
Sanji vs Pizzaro
-Both grew up in the North Blue
-Both were royalty in the North Blue
-(while limited knowledge) Pizzaro was arrested for his family's crimes when he was a child and was locked in Impel Down. He was given the Island-Island fruit so that he can create a kingdom in his eyes, while Sanji makes food for people he cares about which he feels helps his kingdom (this one is a little loose, but it makes sense if you think about it)

You were so close to being right. But then you got bumpy around Franky vs Avalo Pizzaro (which I can see the logic, but it's a bit convoluted), then you just went fully off the rails with Brook vs Vasco Shot (not surprising when you source Alpha2late one of the worst people in the One Piece fandom). That entire fight is contrivance on top of contrivance. You just head canonned too close to the sun and decided that square peg is gonna fit in that round hole and forced it till you thought it made sense. On top of all that, let me correct you on a few things.
1. Koby will never join the Straw Hats, Luffy would never let that happen because being a Marine is Kobys' dream. So no him vs. Burgess, that's stupid.
2. The Blackbeard pirates are very likely the actual final fight, in fact they'll probably have two major fights with them. Once for the One Piece where Luffy and the Straw hats lose, and again later after Teach destroys the WG and conquerors the world like Rocks wanted to do.
3. Here are the real matchups
Teach vs Luffy (I don't even need to explain this)
Burgess vs Zoro (yes, this makes sense. Just let Oda work)
Shiryu vs Sanji (you actually got this 100% right. Good job)
Laffiette vs Nami (also correct, but maybe not a cloud logia)
Devon vs Robin (this also was correct)
Van Auger vs Usopp (literally just makes sense)
Doc Q vs Chopper (again easy and self explanatory)
San Juan Wolf vs Jinbe (Jinbe has already shown he can fight huge opponents, and San Juan Wolf will almost certainly be standing in the ocean to fight, being far to big fir most islands, meaning he will be in Jinbe's turf)
Vasco Shot vs Franky (booze vs. soda, my guy. It doesn't need to be this over the top ass pull)
Avalo Pizzaro vs Brook (Corrupt king vs Soul King, Brook will attack Pizzaro's soul rather than his body)
If and it's a big IF Kuzan is in this fight, which we both doubt, that will be Koby.
If you disagree, you need strong evidence, and I am not taking questions. So shut up and enjoy the god damn manga.
Tbh I would be fine with any of those matchups. It's Sanji/Shiryu and Nami/Laffitte I'm really tryna push.
As for Koby being the 10th Strawhat, I mentioned in my video about this how I believe the Strawhats will disband at the end of the story and that's how Koby can achieve his dream of becoming a Marine admiral. So I don't disagree.
And as for the Blackbeard pirates being the final villains, just... no. I'm almost done with a script on this exact idea. But the World Government is clearly being positioned the final villain of this story, even though it SHOULD be Blackbeard.
@Mooglatan I completely agree with Sanji v Shiryu and Nami v Laffiette. Once you stop assuming Zoro has to fight the sword guy, it not only falls into place who fights who very cleanly but is also far more interesting.
Koby is not going to join, but I definitely agree they're gonna disband. Koby is the Garp to Luffy, so they'll for sure fight alongside each other like Garp and Roger against Rocks, but never join. Koby is a Marine, and despite his SWORD status.
Teach is almost 100% the final antagonist. He has been set up by Oda for years now to not only be Luffy's rival but to go on to redefine the world just as Luffy is. Teach is almost like Buggy in how much he's overlooked yet constantly comes out on top. Also, nobody thinks about how Luffy and the Straw hats are gonna deal with the Celestial Dragons. They can't kill them, and they can't be redeemed. So how? Teach has inherited the will of Rocks, and just like how Luffy will succeed where Roger failed (in being too early), Teach will succeed where Rocks failed and be king of the world. Teach will, in all likelihood, become the next Pirate King, then attack the WG and destroy it. Teach has far more build-up and themeing than Imu and it's kinda stupid and short sighted for the fandom to just assume Imu and the WG are the final fight, just because they're "new" and big. Because it'll be Teachs new WG that Luffy takes down. Oda loves to fuck with us, and having Luffy not win the war for the One Piece and have Teach take over the world is right up there with his 5D chess writing. Remember (maybe you don't, I have no idea) but nobody expected Blackbeard to won the paramount war, and people still don't expect much from him, but he's shaking the world to it's core.
Maybe hold off on that WG video, and make one about Teach. You'll look like a god damn profit when it comes true.
It’d be pretty much impossible for this matchup to work if you really think about it, but pitting Sanji against Caterina would be interesting.
This entire story, he’s been steadfast in his rule against hitting women, and with her, he’d be put in the position of having to deal with a pirate that’s infamous for killing beautiful women, likely having to protect Nami or Robin from her.
It’d be a cool way to end his character arc, forcing him to have to break free of that self imposed rule. Plus, it could be a cool callback to the fact that he fought Bon Clay.
Why do you people keep trying to change sanji’s character at its core? Oda JUST reinforced sanji’s personal rule in the last arc. How would him doing a complete 180 be a cool way to end his character arc? Seeing him beat up a woman would be worse than seeing him start fighting with his hands. It’s bad enough oda made my guy a cyborg, let him keep his ideals in tact.
