My cart seemed to be getting hot and the oil light was flashing after driving my cart for a good distance. I stopped, shift to neutral, kill the engine and engage the oark brake. When I try to drive again, the gear shift won't shift out of neutral. Any pointers at all???
Hello! I own a CC 1994 DS Gas. Recently I replaced my starter generator. The starter mechanic suggested I replace the voltage regulator since I burned out two generators in two years. So, I replaced the voltage regulator too. Got it all together. Starts nice! But, suddenly I only receive full throttle. When I depress the accelerator (1/4 inch or 6”) the golf cart responds the same way. I attempted to adjust the throttle cable inside the black angle box (where the selnoid is) no difference. I’m scratching my head! Suggestions?
I finally found a cart that looks like mine. I got some questions. I just got my first cart. Im not sure on the year. The air box is in the wrong location, the cable on top of it is missing. The plastic piece off of the gear switch on the back side is missing that hits the both switches. When you start up the golf cart it takes a long time to reach top rpms in neutral.(ive ridden a bunch of golf carts and know that they're not fast but they don't take forever to speed up) and when my wife and 2kids got on to ride it barely goes unless you're going down hill. Little in incline(and I mean very little) and you could walk next to it its that slow) please let me know what I could look for. Yes im mechanically inclined, ill figure it out but figured I'd ask maybe get to the bottom of the problem faster. It does need a new shut off switch that shuts it down after you let go of the gas pedal, got one ordered but not sure thats going to fix the problem. The guy I bought it from said it got a new clutch even tho it dont look it. Thank you in advance.
Hello: I work at a golf course with 5 work carts with the exact same engine displayed here. None of them have had any work done in years. All they do is add oil whenever someone decides to check the level. So sad. In terms of a major tune up which to me would be new fuel filters, spark plug, air filter, oil change with filter.... is there any service to the ignition system or is it a solid state system with no maintenance..? What about any transmission fluid and/or filter change..? What about taking off the carburetor cover and cleaning it and replacing the gasket...?? It looks like there is a bleeder valve under the carb.... is there any other way of cleaning the carb without taking it apart..?? Is there any service to the fuel pump..? THANKS.....
Got a 2006 48 volt Club Car. New batteries a year ago. Having problems with it just quitting all of a sudden, after about 10 minutes , it is good to go. Any ideas?
also.... what oil viscosity is correct..? 10W30..?? Can i put a small amount of marvel mystery oil in it to help clean out the engine over time..? I believe these oil crankcases only hold one quart anyway so i am talking about just a few ounces of marvel... i am a big fan of marvel...... I use it in my car with every oil change and also in the gas a few times a year... I have a 20 year old Acura that still runs like new...

Question about an electric golf cart 2002. Brand new batteries. Has had no issues for a couple yrs. All of the sudden dies on you. Tow it from the back side of the yard. Put it on a charger looking for an easy issue like needing to be charged. Takes great charge runs fine for a couple trips around the farm. Get back in it and it takes off like a jet and dies again. Any thoughts?
I have a 2021 Club Car Onward HP (electric). The maximum speed is 20 mph and I have spoken to the dealer and they tell me nothing can be done to speed up the machine. Does anyone have any advice?
2005 club car. I have to Choke, on and off, all the time to keep it running. I press the choke all the way, the engine comes to full power, runs great a few minutes then I have to back off the choke a bit to keep it running till it starts to stall and then I’m back to full choke. I have to do this choke dance the entire time. Haven’t been able to find a solution, any idea?
The high speed jet inside the carburetor may need cleaning or the vacuum operated fuel pump is getting tired and needs the increase in intake manifold vacuum from having the choke pulled to get it to pump the carburetors fuel bowl full again. Also check the vacuum hose going to the fuel pump since when those start to get porous and crack you will also have reduced fuel pump efficiency. A loose or leaking intake gasket can also reduce intake vacuum and cause fuel pump issues. The Kawasaki engines have self adjusting lifters however those with manually adjusted rocker arms can also experience low intake vacuum when they get too far out of adjustment so on engines with manually adjusted rocker arms and high hours may also need a valve adjustment. So start by checking for vacuum leaks when you experience this type of problem and consider regular use of a good fuel system cleaner along with fuel stabilizer to keep that fuel system clean inside and free of ethanol scaling. Best to take care of this sooner than later (I know comment is 1 year old) because a lean condition like this can cause the engine to run hot enough to burn the valves, ports in the head or burn a hole through the piston. Best!

Will shift into reverse but not back into forward have to manual push the gear back, my shifter cable prolly broke ?

*You can replace the differential gears with high speed gears. They are pricey but get you cart to cruising at 30-40mph.*
