Thank you David. I have been playing golf for over 40 years and your lessons have made me understand better the fundamentals and has given me much more enjoyment playing golf. I have never played golf better as I am doing now at the young age of 80. Yes 80! Last December i played in the Mauritius Open Pro_AM with John Parry (the winner) and I played my best golf ever. Thank you and may you continue helping us enjoy golf more.
David, excellent video as always. This is something I can take to the course every day during warm-up. I like the fact you focus on fundamentals and strategy, rather than mechanics. This makes your channel helpful and more valuable to golfers of all abilities.
Always a pleasure watching your channel. I've mentioned it previously and will continue to mention it along the way, in my personal opinion, you are the Most Informative Coach I've watched in comparison to others. Undoubtedly you simply the logic, science and skills in order to have a consistent game. Much appreciated
David, this is an excellent video. Clear and informative. Summer here in Australia so hopefully I can take these fundamentals out on the golf course and improve my game.
David, I just wanted to thank you for your chipping lesson video. I was getting my feet too far apart and duffing a few shots and not very accurate (a bit too handsy I guess), so I consciously kept the feet a bit closer together, made sure I took a few practice swings and my body was rotating properly towards the target, lowering my expectations and the result was better feel for distance and a lot more accuracy. I also used my 56 deg (I'd accidentally left my PW out of the bag) and was still getting consistent contact off tight lies. I think I still duffed one longer chip (about 20 metres) but it's a work in progress. I think the hardest thing is just trusting the process.
Given it is the 'off season', it feels like a good time for a 'stock-take' (or reset) of the fundamentals. I don't plan on being on the golf course (or quagmire as it is known) for the next couple of months and shall be working on the putting green, chipping area and driving range. Hopefully, I shall be better for it when the weather (and the course) improves, and I look forward to your videos helping on the way.
As always David, great explanations. My biggest fail I think is alignment. In particular, feet might be right but hips and shoulders aren't or the opposite. Thanks for the help
The athletic posture thing -or on toes - i think for most this isnt a consideration , personally if i get all athletic and on my toes i create a massive sway off the ball followed by an early extention , i an very relaxed through the swing with all clubs feet settled and prepared , however i do make a concious effort to sit back onto my heels as part of my driver address routine , if i dont i get practically no shoulder turn just hips and knees . Sorry again but that “athletic” thing nearly destroyed me ….
That’s fine, the idea behind my channel is to get you playing better golf on the golf course. If this idea doesn’t work for you, that’s fine. Find what does work and stick with it. What you realise, coaching this game, is everyone is different and I work with everyone individually.

Brilliant, so important to get the feel on short shots, and that narrower stance will help to give you that feel

Hello David, great video,much appreciated
Thank you
As always David, great explanations. My biggest fail I think is alignment. In particular, feet might be right but hips and shoulders aren't or the opposite. Thanks for the help
Very easy for the feet to be right, but the body ends up being slightly twisted
Thanks - Good video to start with
Glad you liked it
Thanks a million.
You’re welcome
Excellent way to start 2025 David. Thank you.
Ball position for 52, 54 and 56 degree wedges?
centre of your stance
