Would love to see a video about head units! I am really considering picking up a small Joying one for my NC. Would be very happy to see a video of that made!
Great to see the NC getting a bit of attention. Completely agree on your favourite mod’s and I also don’t know which order to choose. I use the roof controller more or less every day, sometimes more than twice in a trip as here in the UK if it’s not raining then it’s about to start and I like to have the roof dropped as much as possible. Great service from MX5 things too. Likewise the head unit, I’ve managed to squeeze in a 10.1” screen Android, it does slightly obscure the heater controls but screen real estate is king in my eyes so a compromise I’m prepared to make.
Any chance you'd share the link for the steering wheel cover? I know you said $35 at Amazon but there are many and I'd like to make sure I get a decent one
It's a cheaper Android headunit from Amazon. We probably wouldn't buy this exact model again, but it suits the bill for wireless Android Auto and wireless Carplay. Also, it's definitely ONLY for NC1, regardless of what the ad description says. www.amazon.com/Hikity-Wireless-2009-2015-Touchscreen-Bluetooth/dp/B0CYZPJ5H2/ref=sr_1_1?sr=8-1
I would love a video about speakers and sound systems. My NB only has 3 working speakers (that includes the two built into the wind blocker). Finding decent replacements that don't weigh a lot and figuring out if I need a new amp has been at the literal bottom of my priority list. I've gotten very use to making my own 1.8L themed soundtrack over the last year since I bought the car.
I'm planning on buying an NC2/3 and been looking at a lot of mods. I was looking at seats just yesterday and Recaro do a tilt seat with side airbag and heating, the one I like is the Sportster CS. Not cheap though!!
How is the Visibility of your Stereo Screen in Direct Sunlight Top Down? I have a Five Year Old Kenwood, Cannot See it in Bright Sunlight, totally washed out.
Both the head units shown here in Mike's car and in Nancy are relatively inexpensive Android head units sourced from the famous South American jungle online store, but we've never had any complaints about being able to see them in the sun with the tops down. One cool thing about most Android head units is that you can set the display to night mode (dark mode), which helps with visibility in the sunlight if the standard daytime display isn't clear enough for you.
@FlyinMiataVideo thanks, but that doesn't answer the question. I'm not looking for a "generic answer", It's either readable or it's not. You say it's your personal car, so do you drive itvtop down in bright sunlight? Can you read the display in bright sunlight, top down?? If $1000 head units are useless in direct sunlight, I can't see how an inexpensive Android Head Unit would be any better. Take the car for a spin top down, with the sun beating down on the display. Is it readable, or is it washed out. Simple question to answer. Thxs
@@rhphotocdn Keep in mind that this is a subjective question and we don't specialize in audio equipment but for a direct answer, they seem fine to us in all driving conditions. Your question might be better answered on Miata.net or a similar forum. Thanks for watching.
On my NC2 Touring, I have the Cipher and the Delrin. Check, check. I have a soft top so N/A there. In terms of pedals, the clutch extender is my favorite by far. I was able to move my seat back for more leg room and still operate the clutch perfectly. Still stock on the radio but love that one. NEED seat covers desperately! But not until I replace the torn top. 👍
Love these videos, just wondering if you guys could vacuum the carpet and wipe down the interior prior to doing these videos. I know it's being picky, sorry.
Yeah, Travis is meticulous about his personal car and I'm sure he cringes every time he's gotta shoot one of our own. Having things look pretty is kinda low on our priority list until we go out to an event. Sorry about that.
Seat lowering brackets are the best interior mod for the NC!
Mike is Miata-sized, but you aren't wrong!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Definitely would love a video on headunits!

Job well done Admiral! You forgot the bilge pump tho😂🕺
Great vid. Been on the fence about the steering wheel cover. Your vid sealed the deal.
Yes, stereos please, including the sound quality aspect and bose vs non-bose
Thanks for the suggestion! We've added it to our future videos list.

If you send us an email (support@flyinmiata.com), we can try to share a link for the same cover shown in the video. :)
Please show where you positioned the rear camera and how it was fixed
What type of radio was installed in the blue Miata? It appears as though the screen is larger than the aftermarket radio in the white Miata.

Yeah I wanted to know this too, I liked the outsize look, it was very modern in appearance
It was just brand X from Amazon. Nothing fancy but it allowed for the camera and had good Bluetooth pairing to our phone.

Other markets got factory NC Recaros! Typical Mazda not giving us the cool stuff!

Can you do the same for ND?
Nvm found it 😂😂😂
Thanks for watching!

Hey guys, Where can I find that long decal on the dashboard panel?
This is a factory option for NC3 Club models, so we aren't sure where you can purchase a similar decal - sorry!
suede boots are from ebay, from a polish company. Suede is real and they cost arround 40USD for both.
Nice find!
Yes fm floor mats please
Thanks for watching!
What's the head unit in the blue car? its much more exciting looking!
They're both brand X from Amazon. Don't know much more than that, sorry.
I'm assuming you don't sell (or own) a vacuum.
Mike daily drives his Miata, and it's not always perfect.
Looks like the black hardtop fading on the clubs is a real thing 😢
We've noticed the same thing, unfortunately.

You’re right that is picky and I’m a professional detailer lol
