Can you do an interview about Voice actors and actresses since its somehow co related to each other.
What's funny is that when I lived in Japan, anime is a part of almost everything there. Advertisements, road safety signs, political campaign commercials, public service announcements etc. If you've never been to Japan, don't be surprised when you're shopping and come across Spy X Family anime inspired meals at a restaurant or Hello Kitty condoms. Japan definitely is a unique culture but that's what makes it fun.

Being such a "unique" culture as you say can be a bad thing aswell. Look how sexist they are for example, how closed to foreigners or how racist with other Asians they are.
@@kerolokerokerolo Japan is a mono-cultural society. 98% of the population is ethnically Japanese. They are allowed to be proud of their culture, that's not racist. Most Japanese love foreigners, including other Asians, but being that they live in a mono-cultural society, sometimes they say things that come off as prejudiced, or bias towards people who are not ethnically Japanese. Yes, there is allot of history between Japan and other Asian Countries, like China and Korea to name a couple examples, and some of that past legacy still remains unresolved today. As far as sexism goes, it depends on how you define it. Yes, in Japanese culture, there are still separate gender roles for the most part. But, that is also changing rapidly, and arguably the end results of Feminism have not benefited the Western cultures that have gone all in on it anyway. Japan is a heck of allot more open to change then China is anyway. That's for sure.

Hunter X Hunter (2011 or 1999 version) is legendary, and it wasn't really mentioned. That is my favorite anime, along with OP and Studio Ghibli stuff.
I would like to recommend Evangelion. It is a masterpiece.
Earlier,I didn't think that it was uncommon for girls to watch Naruto. But actually i never found a girl who watched it. 😢 As for me, it's my absolute favourite anime of all time. Naruto taught me so much. It was a life lesson.

Anime from 2:05 is "Scum's Wish" and it's super unique. It's a romance anime but I think it's more of a love story. If you look at it storytelling wise It's really good. I loved it

The anime the girl didn’t know was “Scum’s Wish” and it literally made me cry throw up and die but it also made my heart race fr. I’m glad Hanabi and Mugi got their happy ending in Scum’s Wish Decor.

Yeah, the OST is lit. The anime literally show how toxic an relationship can be and how wonderful it could become no matter how dirty it is

Ngl, i was down bad and super jealous, the dude got with the slutty teacher lol.
Also, that moment when the MC's crush metaphorically broke the slutty teacher was so f*cking beautiful, and the fact he got her feeling some type of way and how she was out of the loop with what he would agreed with, was fun to watch.
Ima horny dude, but I love romance as well, and I thought it was funny and mesmerizing that night before she was worn out bc of the amount of sex she had with her student and the she goes on a getaway, spa trip with the teach to just falling in-love threw me out of the loop as well, in a good way. And that soundtrack of her falling in love and the dialogue from those were amazing and gave me chills.
I thought the series was ok, but that last eps gave me a lasting impression, I rewatch those scenes from time to time.

Mob Psycho just has so many powerful yet simple messages and themes. The art style is so unique yet beautiful in a way. Incredible OST and story. Love Kageyama/Mob and Reigen. Definitely my favorite.
I watched One Punch Man before Mob Psycho and was told it was the same author by a friend. I gave it a watch and OHHHHH MY was I not expecting that. I got a very similar humor which is high tier but the layers in that series compared to One Punch Man is off the charge.

Berserk has got to be my favorite, it's got a great story and amazing characters. It is a bit dark in the themes and ideas, but it will always be my favorite. R.I.P. Kentaro Miura.

berserk is one of the best mangas of all time (if not the best) but their adaptations are not good. 1997 is the only "good" one. i still have hopes someday we'll see a great berserk anime. it deserves one

Evangelion is one of the main reason I am interested in learning Japanese and understanding Japanese culture. The series is amazing and End of Evangelion is a genuine artistic masterpiece.

My favorite anime would have to be AOT given how many amazing moments and twists it has given me throughout the series. It holds a special place in my heart. But there are a few runner-ups, such as Dr.Stone or Promised Neverland (1st season, we don’t talk about the 2nd). Loved the video, keep it up Takashii!

One of my personal favorite anime is Monster. It’s such a gripping mystery with lots of thought provoking, philosophical themes. I’ve seen it get a bit more attention on social media lately, but it’s still so underrated.
I want to start watching it, and like waited to someone mention about it 😁

Loved this interview! It was so wholesome and I could see the people’s eyes light up when they were talking about their favorite characters!! My fave is Hunter x Hunter! From the characters (especially squad between Gon, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika), to how the plot is developed, everything is beautiful and I can’t wait for the continuation of the story now that the author is better!

Favorite anime of all time is Cowboy Bebop. It’s just the perfect blend of style, science fiction, and great music. Can’t express how much I love it.
I studied Japanese for three years and never got into anime like my classmates, but Cowboy Bebop was an exception. Still love that show.

@@berkdum-lu6166 it used to get mentioned a lot more regularly. I don’t think that the show is fading away necessarily, but it’s just that younger people watch the newer stuff mostly. Also at the end of the day Bebop isn’t such a plot heavy anime. It’s short and meditative whereas all the other anime that were name dropped in the video are long and very plot oriented, which tend to make for more accessible stories to a mass audience. Although I was surprised that one of the girls said her favorite was Neon Genesis. Not only is it old but also very experimental.

I think Attack on Titan is the greatest anime ever because of its incredible storyline and the foreshadowing about the ending audience gets from the very beginning of the show is so amazing after we look back. And obviously all the characters are so good, the sentiment built throughout show is praiseworthy. Also, I love Deathnote... it's pretty suspenseful and captivating.

Man you have to love how open Japanese people are about discussing anime well in the west its completly the apposite. Even going far as to detail and explain the finer points of what they enjoyed it and talking about there emotions. Its amazing how reserved and respectful fans are in japan. Some of the responces were almost like talking to a producer or something.

because anime is a popular part of Japanese culture. It would be like saying to an American "what is your favourite TV show?" there is still plenty of people who don't watch tv or like tv similar with anime in japan
Idk, this may have been the case like 5 years ago but Western culture has changed so much since then and now it's considered pretty normal to be into anime. All the younger kids that were into it are grown up now and all their younger siblings or children are also into it now. I don't really see anyone hating on anime anymore unless you're talking to like old people or in a very reserved area.

Now a days I can have someone walk into my apartment and see my walls lined with anime posters, merch and media all over my cubbards and people think nothing of it, like its a regular thing to own or a hobby to enjoy. I guess the same can be said for Video games or my favorite, the whole "Super Hero infatuation" that has just exploded in popular media now. Its crazy how much nerd culture has become a regular part of our society now, to the point where its even taking over other mainstream trends. I guess we won in the end haha.
Haikyuu is my number one. It has amazing characters, story, art style and it just gives me an over all good feeling when i watch it. Even though i've already watched it so many times, i can't get sick of it

@@merkur69 You need to watch it all to feel the ups and downs. The stakes always feel real. Ofc it's a shonen, so Luffy has to will win. And became pirate king at the end. They say it from episode 1. But so does every great fiction. Some really great stories don't have happy endings. Some ones don't land their endings, as we've seen with GoT, I personally didn't like Naruto's ending, and Bleach too. But, we'll have to see with One Piece. Oda is a great writer though.
@@GodofStories i watched all dont worry but its not entertaining bc its always a loop. always split in the beginning arc. u can always skip the first 100 episodes when its a new arc bc u wont see nec. things. its always the same. and to wait and go all through that for 3 minutes screentime fights its realy not worth it. 1 attack and all ppl has to get their response. its not the anime i felt in the past. its only copy and pasta.
I've watched alot of animes and i love a lot of them but I'll say Gintama is my favourite anime of all time. Nothing beats it. I don't have enough words to describe how good it is. At first I mainly choose to watch it because i wanted to watch some Comedy, i happened to come across a Assassination Classroom (Koro-sensei) parody they did (on TH-cam)and how they one time explained Anime and Manga and how necessary fillers are, which caught my eye.
I loved and enjoyed every second of it, cried tons and laughed alot equally while watching it .
The Comedy, action, story, plots, Characters, backstories are so good.
The parodies (Dragon ball, One Piece, Bleach Etc), reference, puns etc never disappoints.
The way they always make a fool out of us by all those fake promos and stuffs is hilarious.
I can rant about it all day and won't get tired.
It's peak and the best. No one beats Gintama in Comedy, no one.
Gin-Chan is one of the best Main Character of all time and i love him so much.
Gintama is also my favorite lool. It changed my life
I've also watched a lot of animes since i was a kid and I'm 32 now. And I'm totally agreed Gintama is the best ever. It's not just like totally funny but the plot, the character, the op/ed songs and all are so awesome and wholesome!

Haikyuu is my all time favorite. I love how it shows stories of friendship and teamwork. It has a good balance between intense/emotional/funny moments. It’s very light compared to other popular anime. Whenever I’m feeling down I’ll watch an episode or two of Haikyuu and it makes me feel better :)

Same here! The story may not be that deep compared to other anime, but it's all about how it makes you feel. When I watch hq I cry, laugh...I feel just how the characters feel. And hq is the only anime that makes me feel that way. And also, it's impossible to hate any of the characters. (At least for me haha).

My favorite anime is Haikyu!! which is basically a volleyball anime for those who don't know. I've watched a lot of great animes, but this one really stole my heart. I easily fell in love with the story and every single character in it, to the point where it even got me interested in playing the sport. It's a lovely show that I'll never forget.

Ao Ashi is Haikyuu with soccer. Blue Lock has this wacky Battle Royal aspect to it and the characters are so over the top it’s also fun, but completely bonkers. All Out is Haikyuu with Rugby but the art style is particular, not for everyone. Burning Kabbadi is okay, but it’s mostly fun because it’s about this interesting Indian sport that’s thousands of years old, and is like a weird combination of tag, with group dynamics and strategy. TH-cam videos of those guys leaping over a wall of people after managing to tag someone is nuts.

Attack on titans is one of the master piece because it contains anger, fear, sadness, and so on we can able to get every emotions which were present in the world and we can't able to stand on particular persons side because every one has their own will and story and each of them are mostly acceptable by every one so I definitely recommend every one to watch ATTACK ON TITAN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I was really hoping to see someone mention Jujutsu Kaisen. As someone who has watched a majority of Evangelion, hearing them talk about it brought back my own thoughts and feelings on what ends up being a hugely psychological show. It is one of the most confusing shows you'll watch but when it ends, it REALLY makes you think.

Can you tell me why kaguya is so good? I absolutely love slice of life anime and mainly just watch that, but I thought kaguya was really boring. I watched the first and second season but i guess it just didnt click for me
My favorite is Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood version). The storytelling is great, the pacing is good and everything builds up towards the end and it's neatly tied together, and all characters are interesting and good. I'm surprised there aren't more people liking it. Maybe the first FMA anime got people turned off since it was such a mess.

My favorite anime is Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure. It’s absolutely incredible and a 10/10 in my opinion. The story progression, art style, and CHARACTERS and MUSIC are what make it so amazing. it’s actually funny because people have told me it’s not a good first anime since “it can be difficult to get into, etc.”, but it was my first anime and now it’s my favorite show of all time. Highly recommend!!

It is really hard to pick my favorite anime. If I had to choose, Demon Slayer would be my top choice, but all these shows have their unique stories and plots, and I love them all. From shows Attack On Titan to Gintama, they all have their unique charms in what makes them special.
I am also a big fan of Fairy Tail because not only it has action, but it also has a well written story and has a fair amount of comedy as well. Plus, the animation for is really good!
I am also thrilled to see My Hero Academia mentioned a lot throughout the video, as I believe the story is well written and interesting. Not only that, but it is the show that got me into action anime in general, so it holds a special place in my heart!

It is tbh. I was there recently and it made me realize what international fans likes is quite different from Japanese people's. MHA, Tokyo revengers, and Demon slayer is literally in every nook and cranny of Japan. Everywhere visited, I'd always find something that's MHA/Demon Slayer/Tokyo revengers. Heck, even boruto was on the bus and there was a random pop up booth in Akihabara station for some reason.
While internationally, it's Jujutsu Kaisen & Chainsaw man. Not that I didn't see anything JJK and CSM related stuff, but it's just wayyyyy less than I thought. It was also harder to find variety of merch for these two series. What I find more intriguing was how difficult it was to even find JJK 0 merch despite it being released last year.
@@abigailpf9835 I kinda have to disagree with the Jujutsu Kaisen one. I lived in Tokyo/Japan up to a few months ago and Jujutsu (as well as the others mentioned) was everywhere. It was with One Piece and Demon Slayer the anime that had the most merch and merch sections at every store. They had billboards for the anime everywhere. So "0 merch" is such an understatement, go to any animate and you will be bombarded.

I am an anime newbie, I´ve started recently watching The Seven Deadly Sins, and I feel deep about the story and that is what's eagering me to watch, The series ran from 2014 until 2021, but they recently brought out a sequel called The 4 knights of the apocalypse.

it made me so happy someone said bleach i feel like its pretty underratted for how big it is, but its my favorite because just like how real people are strong and still lose and also deal with human emotions, ichigo is the same way and the desire to protect all the things and people you love, theres a lot of meaningful lessons if you really pay attention and the characters are very well written with all their own depth its a lot deeper than you’d expect and theres so much more to find for even yourself if anyone ends up watching it because of this comment but id also recommend reading the manga because of the poems are also very good… plus it just looks cool but yeah its literally the best in my opinion

My very first anime was Sailor Moon and then Pokémon is the one that solidified my love for anime. Back in the mid to late 90s I feel like we were very limited to our choices for anime though (in the U.S.) Since then I have watched so many and hands down my favorite is Natsume Yuujinchou, his name is also Takashi. 🤗 It’s such a sweet and endearing slice of life anime that’s very underrated in my opinion.
I'm glad people still remember Inazuma eleven. The show had such a big impact on me. From a kid who's always in front of the TV I went outside and finally got a good look at the world.

My fav anime is "gintama" Cuz Gintama is 80% comedy 20% serious with 360+ episodes & movies. Definitely fun, but episodic & slice of life. It would take hundreds of episodes and a handful of serious arcs before you manage to piece together the "main" overarching plot. There is indeed a serious main plot that has been seeded since S1, but you'd only realize it after rewatching.
If you are interested in watching on your own or reacting, expect the focus of Gintama to be on the characters & their chemistry/bond. As you can tell, Gintama has a wide range of repeating characters. Now what happens when they mix with each other, each episode focusing on new combinations of characters that mingle and their relationships? The result is a ton of chaos, fun, sadness, bitterness, and other emotions. Watch it for the journey, not for the end goal... because Gintama doesn't have an end goal lol. No treasure, no dreams, no ambitions - and that's what makes it great hahahaha...,

What I love about Shonen is how unique the different worlds are! Sure there are common troupes but the world that the characters exist in is usually what draws me into a show or not.
Mine has always been Gintama. It's like an anti-anime kind of anime whenever they mock the clichés about anime itself🤣. But each time it goes back to its main overarching story-line, it's actually one of the best written series ever.

I'm really surprised by the question "Do girls also watch Naruto?" Naruto is my all time favourite anime as I watched it first with my eldest son aged 5. Then re-watched it again with youngest son when he turned 5. My boys are 6 years apart. Since then my eldest son has seen different anime but my youngest son & I we enjoy the same kinds of anime. Right now it's My Hero Academia and Haikyuu!

My favorite anime of all time is Psycho Pass. Especially the first season. I think it discusses a lot of psychological, and sociological problems that we are facing now, or on our way to be facing in the future.
It’s definitely an anime I remember above others. The premise was so wild, it was very impactful, I thought. Loved it!
It's soo good and underrated. I stopped watching after half third season tho. I think it went downhill, sadly.
I dont know how many people can say this but Psycho pass actually got me started on anime and made me realize how good the stories can be. Since then I have watched about 70 anime but Psycho pass left a very impactful and lasting impression.

My favorite ones are Macross, Dragonball, Tenkuu no Escaflowne, Fushigi Yuugi and Slam Dunk. I read the manga too!

My personal favorite anime is Chivalry of a Failed Knight or (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry) Honestly, the action scenes, especially the swordfights were so much fun to watch, and the romance between Ikki and Stella felt so engaging. I hope we get a season 2 of that anime. I'm personally a big fan of action fantasy, ecchi, romance, and slice of life. So, stuff like Kill la Kill, Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple, Seven Deadly Sins, Slayers, and Kuroko's Basketball, because I play basketball myself. As for what question you wanna ask next, I think video games.
It has a light novel so you might wanna read that. I did read it's light novel way before anime came out and dropped it(don't remember the reason).
Just gonna say it: I love Kamisama Kiss. When human men are disappointing, there's always *Tomoe.* And you'll learn a lot about Shinto and Japanese folklore.
Though I love AoT, Kamisama Kiss always holds a special place in my heart haha

My favorite anime is Yu Yu Hakusho. I related a lot to Urameshi Yusuke and Kuwabara alot growing up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched that anime, I’m actually re collecting the manga, and I’ve listened to the character songs millions of times since 03 when I got into the anime so it’s been about 20 years
My favorite as well. The pacing makes it so easy to watch multiple times. Straight to the point and great character development without a bunch of filler episodes.

i was so happy that someone mentioned tokyo revengers. its a great anime but the manga is way better! i would really recommend! it only has 2 seasons for now and in october season 3 will come out so i think its a really good to watch. its romantic, about friendship etc!!
Slam Dunk is so good because it seems like a basketball show at first but it's actually a really cool character drama too. I heard the mangaka got an award by the national basketball association of japan because after his manga came out a ton more kids started playing basketball thanks to it.

It surprised me a lot not to see Hunter X Hunter mentioned! It's my favorite anime, I've watched it a lot with my brothers (all versions) and it's very special to me. it's very immersive and out of the 140+ episodes, not one is bad! I've seen many people consider it a masterpiece. Even if the manga is not over, the anime even adapts an arc that may be the last of the protagonist. U should watch!

My favourite anime of all time is Initial D. As someone who loves cars, especially Japanse cars, this anime really highlights the car culture in '90s Japan. It is a very realistic visualisation of how people used to race in the mountains in terms techniques of people and specific cars. Also the story is amazing, emotional and very exciting to watch. It feels like every episode counts.
