When someone picked up the operator would say "you have a collect call from so-and-so, would you like to accept?" You would have to agree or not with the charge showing up on your phone bill. It was pretty expensive so it was a tough decision.

Jersawitz was well known for hosting a Public-access TV show called Brainstorms, a current events talk show on People TV, notable for live telephone calls, mostly consisting of prank calls.

This show was on local Atlanta public access TV, he used to be on all the time, and was always pushing very extreme-Communist takes on everything. Believe it or not he used to get actual call-ins asking him real questions. It's honestly a testament of freedom of speech in the USA that this guy was allowed on public TV. The pranks are hilarious but he was legit an extremist lol
