Here's an idea Michelle try putting tape on the areas you don't want mica powders to get into and when your done remove the tape and then no clean up on the area you need to do next. It's just an idea.

Use disposable eyeshadow applicators or a silicone brush applicator for applying the mica powder. Brushes can spread the mica powder

Hi Michelle, cut down one of your little brushes, it will give you more control. The longer bristles will flick the powder around. ❤ you can also use baby wipes for clean up.

I love your videos. I always learn from you and get so much inspiration, too. I just wanted to let you know that you can use a clear alcohol marker and dip it into mica to color the molds, & the clear alcohol markers come in many tip sizes & you can actually refill them with alcohol when empty to save money. I have done it, so I can tell you honestly it works. Thanks again for the videos. I look forward to them. Happy Pouring!!!!

@@HeartCreationsByReneeI have a few different size tips that I use. I have the refillable water brushes in 2or 3 sizes, but the alcohol tends to evaporate quicker in those. I have a large brush tip from Spectrum Noir, a medium from Tsukiniko (I think it’s spelled that way), and a really small one from Copic. I looked on Amazon for links, but no luck. I bought them from Michaels. They are usually called clear alcohol blending markers, but any markers you can open and fill with alcohol will work, even colored ones. The tips can even be cleaned with alcohol, though a little color may remain. It shouldn’t affect anything, though. Just make sure if they aren’t alcohol markers you clean them out really well with alcohol before you fill with alcohol to use on molds, or the mica may bead up like Michellle’s markers were at first. Sorry I don’t have a link, but I hope this helps.

When I saw you going for the wheel’s hub with the powder floating all around, I wondered if you could mix the micas adding isopropyl alcohol yielding a creamy textured wet substance. Naturally, the alcohol would evaporate quickly and It could avert the flying powder and the mess it makes in the adjoining areas inside the mold.

Just the colors of the butterflies were UV the black was 2 part epoxy from left overs.
