    If you brush that mica powder around inside edge before you pour resin, when you remove from mold the edges of your coaster will have the mica powder color around the whole coaster

    If it has white back it has at least one layer. It will look like it does not but if you do the tape trick it will separate. Put piece tape on back and pull corner.

    They turned out great! So I have a few questions...1. why do you think there were air bubbles coming from under the napkin if it was all mod podged up? 2. How long do those gold pens last if you paint the edges on a set like that? (I have terrible luck with these kinds of pens - either glop unevenly or dry out quickly) and 3. Have you tried Maribu Rainbow alcohol ink? Easy subtle but impactful glitter alternative.👍 Thanks for the videos 😀

    • @glitznglitterbymichelle1
      @glitznglitterbymichelle1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure! 1. Bubbles will come up no matter what, as long as there were some trapped, however they were trapped. So I'd say babysit them for a little while before walking away. 2. If you use the coasters a lot yes the pen will rub off and need to be re applied. You can always use metallic mica powder like this one : amzn.to/3RzoPCE to coat the sides and bottom of your mold so it gets embedded into your project. Here is a video showing how they come out: th-cam.com/video/43qcexdXc44/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AimwrAyQuhB4SEXO. and 3. Yes I have the Maribu rainbow alcohol ink as well! I use it alot on tumblers as well.

    These coasters are absolutely stunning. I'm fairly new to your channel and definitely new to all the resin projects. I got so excited when I seen you had another video tonight. I have been binging on all your video's. You have almost got me to the point of not being afraid of the resin. I have had UV resin and polyurethane resin and about 10 different molds for about 4 months now but just been a little bit timid about it. Ok maybe a lot timid about it. Lol. 4 months is a long time to have supplies and not use them. Lol. But I think you have educated me to the point of not being afraid. Thank you for all you do to share your talent with us. I have purchased some of the "ring blanks" from Temu and I'm just waiting on them to be delivered. Thanks again. Oh and also, I love the way you and your husband work together. Y'all are so funny. Love from Georgia!!

    Beautiful coasters! I was wondering if you have ever done the clipboard mold and how it turned out. They look thin and might possibly be bendy. I would love to see one of those made. My daughter homeschools her children and they would really be helpful and last a lot longer.

    • @glitznglitterbymichelle1
      @glitznglitterbymichelle1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t seal it and the gold can scratch off. You can always do another clear coat over the gold pen so seal it on there
