    I think a good safety idea would be to take a picture of the existing wire harness on the OBD port before you unlatch the wires in case you accidentally pull out the existing wires when installing the additional 2 wires..

      @CheaperJeeperTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Russel, That is brilliant! I worried about that when unlatching the side catches. I've pinned your comment. Thanks for the tip! Cheers.

      Honestly, even when you unlatch the retainers on the plug it’s an absolute PITA to pull the connectors out unless you have the proper tool.

      Hey Mike, I did notice they are in pretty tight. I guess those pins, and the catch click in pretty good. Thanks for the info. Cheers.

    Amazing video. I'm about to do this for my 2023 Gladiator that I lifted with the AEV kit, read the instructions and then decided to go to youtube. Found your video and there is no way I would have got this right without your help. Thank you very much. Looks like 3 years later this is still helping people!

    That was a great information on it so does it change the sift points when. Driving and how do you like it as my. 35 wheels and tires will here next week and how about your gas mileage. And sometime you should come to Brantford to meet our Jeep club on a Sunday

    • @CheaperJeeperTV
      @CheaperJeeperTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Rob, I love the handling on the Jeep. I think the backspacing, placing the tires out a little actually helps my handling. As for the gas milage, it has suffered a little bit as a result of the 35s, but I expected that. I'd certainly come to one of your club meetings if invited. As soon as the restrictions lift, let me know. Thanks for the feedback on the video.
      Also, recalibrating for the correct tire size with the ProCal, will allow your speedometer to be accurate and your transmission to shift as per schedule. It doesn't actually change the shift points.
      Cheers.

      @@CheaperJeeperTV No worries. But a suggestion that I might add(possibly for your viewer suggested tips and tricks), after calibrating with the procal it's a great idea to verify the accuracy of speedometer reading. I had to make several changes to dial my true 35" ko2s. I'm running about 37psi per my chalk test and I had to calibrate my procal to about 33 and some change. I used the GPS in my phone to verify my speed between changes.
      Also I found in the forums that you have to make larger than .2" to have the procal recognize the changes.
      Thanks for the video and your time.

    Great video explaining how to use it. I took a much easier approach and purchased this AEV Procal Module from NorthRidge (www.northridge4x4.ca/part/programmers-tuners/30406007ag-aev-procal-module), you simply just PIN out the change you want to make on the module itself, plug it in, turn your ignition on, your horn will beep for confirmation, and then you turn it off. I know it works for the JK, not sure about the JL though.
