    I mesured all the bearings, The manufacture used all 4mm bearings instead of the 5mm bearings that come with the axial kit. So use a 5mm bearing on the inner pinion and it will set the gear lash just right and no skipping.

      You meant replace the bearing with 5x11x4mm (AXA1221) bearing that comes with axial stock..??

      Dennis Dempsey so you used the 5mm on the inner race for the pinion? I ordered a set

      I was looking at just getting the housing. They have us stock. For a $26. If I just swap on my axle bearings and gears will I still have that problem use the original gear and bearings that come with the yeti kit. Thank you I appreciate it very much if you could reply. Have a great day

    Every differential stock or after market you need to set the ring opinion mesh. Very important.Even if already assembled do not trust it.

    do you have any issues with the front binding? Not the gears, I have gotten it close but still doesn't want to turn lock to lock. Thought about getting a new set of c hubs and steering knuckles to see if that helps. great video. thanks for posting.

    I'd be building a scale crawler if I could get one with open differential or at least a remote locker in a "scale" axle housing.
    I found out that these awsum RC trucks existed during the Covid break I had from work.
    I was so blown away by what seemed to be available to build a "Scale" RC truck (that would look and work like the real deal).
    However, as I was researching the kits (RTR, or a raw chassis) I quickly learned that what it was going to take just to build One decent crawler was going to be an enormous financial and time consuming venture that just left a bad taste in my mouth. Bummer.
    All the rigs you have built (most are very close to what I wanted to do) I found out that not just the cost (seems I'd have to spend a large fortune) on parts/kits that most of the the stock components have to be discarded and replaced with products these companies offer as "upgrades"?! That in my mind, I just wanted to spend the extra cash up front to get a "Base" rig that the driveshafts and things like that should be offered to guys like myself to get me started.
    It's like no matter what you want to do (you can't get there from here) at least without it absorbing so much of my life chasing parts and having to ship it back if it's not right and things like that.
    I'd be happy to spend a small fortune building a custom rig and investing time to make it happen, but seeing that it's going to take more than I can afford in time and money only to leave me disappointed in the end result.
    Sorry to run on about this, but I spent a lot of time looking for this or that to get me on track for a cool build only to find out... You can't get there from here?! 🤷🏼‍♂️😕

      I hear ya brother, it does get expensive to custom build a rig, if you buy the axial smt 10 axles they have an open diff in them and are the same axle as these in the video,

    Just like seting the lash in a full size ring and pinion nice!

    my rear end was doing the same. also the front shafts sheared off on a terrible brushed system and 6 cell. I managed to get the rear quit clicking with some messing around. this is also my first of any kind of crawler so mad it very frustrating. I know bashers very very well. any good opinions on front axle shafts? maybe something a little cheaper than vanquish but that will hold up????

    Do you have any idea whether the bevel gear can be swapped out for an Axial one?

    • @MrMrsregor
      @MrMrsregor 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i *THINK* this might be the scx10 II ring and pinion.
      a different waith axle (also made by Xtra Speed) that i was looking at, said it uses scx10 II gears...

    Saki is Japanese NOT Chinese, and in the end, you too make an inferior product (video) than the higher budget set, maybe it's because you had a little too much moonshine. OH, I'm sorry did I get your culture wrong, you all look the same to me.

  • @MyAmin8
    @MyAmin8 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    why dont you use back the original gear?

    • @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol
      @dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +aminol rasyid I tried that also the problem was in the housing, the machine work inside the bearing seat was not the same as the wraith.

      I bought just the housings. I'm putting my own hd axial gear sets in with fast eddy bearings

      @@jeremymoreside1444 I was looking at getting just the housing to. Right now the $26 with the back cover. If I just put my axle gears and bearings in there from the original and axles will I still have to shim it like he did. Or would I be better off just getting some beef tubes. I'd appreciate it if you could reply thank you very much.
