You’ll never hear Paul Townend or Willie being bad losers, they’re the complete opposite. So when they say the horse didn’t run it race or in Paul’s words “didn’t give him the usual feel” then I for one will give them the benefit of the doubt. That said CH is only going to improve for that run, it’s the impossible task to peg him back I’d say.
Lossiemouth had an off day , struggled to keep up but yet was only beaten by 1 second behind Constitution Hill at the finish , definitely one of the best hurdlers of the last 30 years or more so there’s lots to be grateful for by coming second to such a legend .
Dreaming look at the time of the race they went flat out .CH will get better from here on in .She is a lovely horse but she ran into a once in a lifetime horse .She couldn't live with him when he quicker 2 out off a strong pace .

Not sure why both Stateman and Lossie ran way behind the field when they faced CH. Was it an intentional tactics or they got outpaced? You can never beat CH by staying so far away from the pace.
The man is an absolute genius. So insightful and straightforward. NH racing will never be the same again and its no bad thing that our own trainers need to up their game .
She ran a stinker and still finished closer than stateman ,be a different story at cheltenham ,at least willie has the balls to come over and race at these tracks unlike the english cowards

Lossie just looked to me something bothering her as its usually hard to stop her sometimes to free. i thought she may be pulled up early on. Credit to her for finishing so close despite nico giving alot more whips to Constitution than paul. Always a sign in horses with hanging or diff head carriage which she did. Could be in season. No prob with her been beaten couple lenghts but never happy it appeared before first hurdle with all that natural speed shes got.
He hit CH twice, I counted on the slow motion and only after the last fence to wake him up. Lots of waving, but only 2 hits. Lossie was getting the whip 2 out to shake her up!
4 proper hits plus 1 slap down the shoulder at the last jump. look at itv camera on inside track. nico was making sure seemed a bit bothered about paddy brennan. Townend 1 whip afer 2nd last and possible 1 flick after last.

Agree with Mullins comments. Ballooning hurdles, didn't travel a furlong, surely not her running. Unlikely to ever beat the winner however I wouldn't think.
It was the early pace, she's a top class stayer, not a speedster! She always switches off and has a weird galloping style, reminds of Paula Ratcliff, never looks comfortable, head at a strange angle when under pressure. CH has such a stride with awesome impulsion, power and balance, he's the horse of a lifetime! I thought she ran to ger form and did herself proud; after all she got closer to CH than State Man did, so I'm not buying that excuse, based on their bigging up of State Man, they contradict themselves!

A few years ago the same thing happened all his horses lost over Xmas. They all ran good at Cheltenham at better prices the only one that lost well came second was in the opening race at 3-1 if people want see this is a complete fix then you are deluded.
Lossiemouth ran similarly as in the Hattons Grace, but a faster pace meant that when push came to shove, she was not good enough. Constitution Hill may not be as good as he once was but, looking at her past victories, is Lossiemouth over hyped?
Lossiemouth is now in between the Devil + the deep Blue Sea, she can never beat a 85% fit CH , let alone a fully fit CH, she is 100% a 2.5mile horse, the distance where she has achieved her best 3 ratings and never beat a decent 2miler. The other problem for Her is, she would likely now face Brighterdaysahead in the Mares, which I don’t believe she could as well. BDA will almost certainly go to the Mares as all the owners want is a Grade 1 winner before She goes over Fences next year. As Ruby + AP often say, second is nowhere 👍

He's a gentleman with a lot of class, he really looks after the horses. As it should be. His yard was my first yard, fresh out of Arab racing in the 90's, he's the best!

How's about Lossiemouth just isn't as good as CH. Nothing is. Lossiemouth is an exceptional mare capable of beating most of the boys but CH is a phenomenon. Any ground bias or jockey ride is more than offset by CH not running for a year and having colic.
