By far my biggest hope with the showcases, the discord, all of that, is to bring some LIGHT to what's really going in the community! The passion is still VERY much alive! And the forge creations are literally to the point that they could pass as developer made creations!
The forgers are keeping it alive. I'd like there to be the old preset buildings like they had in reach and 4. Stuff like sniper towers and blood gulch bases... easy prefabs that losers like me can whip up maps easily without needing a degree in coding
Dude you absolutely killed it! Had a complete BLAST playing it! Been on my checklist for a while and I'm so glad I finally got around to experiencing it!
Only downside of Forge is the lack of Map Music, They really need to add it to forge so these maps can become more Alive. It’d be the Icing on the Cake!
I believe it is supposedly planned! Though it will probably be alittle while as they havent said anything. Still, some maps have been getting creative! especially since Firefight has music in it!

I used to be a Forger. Forged in H3, Reach, and H4. But I haven’t touched Forge since H4. It’s so depressing making a BTB map, but you have no friends to play it with. I want to Forge again, apparently there’s a community on Discord, the new 343i seams to care about the Forgers; but I still feel like my map would be ignored. That’s why I haven’t Forged anything, but at the same time. As an artist, and a life time fandom (except for H:5) I feel like I owe the Halo Community a Forge map. Idk, still not sure. Not sure if I want to spend hours making something no one will play. I guess I can have my kids play it. But am I too old? I’m 33yr, and the controls are way different than the original Forge controls. IDK
1. You can change the controls in the tools menu to be more like 3/reach if thats more comfy for u 2. Its definitely tough making btb maps especially since its never easy to scrape together 16-24 players to playtest, but there are multiple discords specifically for this kinda thing. Plus u get a free 8 bots to help out 3. Whether people play your maps or not shouldnt be an end all be all, u should keep forging to improve your craft all the time, until eventually u get it featured or get some downloads, and then u keep forging to keep improving. Hey man i made a cool map i want you to check out its called ANATHEMA CAMPAIGN download the ANATHEMA GAME MODE with it its about when the covenant caught you slippin and threw you in a cell it has a cool custom boss at the end when u start the game restart the match for best results as i maxed out the scripts
