Comment: Over the past 38 years we have owned 8 different motorhomes from 20’ to 33’ long. We’ve owned various brands. We presently own a 2022 Winnebago Vista 29V, which is almost identical to the National Parks addition, but without the paint, and rims. In addition, the standard bed in 2022 was a queen bed, which we prefer, and ours has nice laminate countertops instead of Corian . These changes increased the CCC to 2042 pounds , which we have never exceeded. Three years and 40,000 miles to date, averaging 9.3 MPG. We have had very few issues with the Winnebago build quality and this layout works really well for us. I’m not paid by Winnebago but of all the rigs we’ve owned, Winnebago gave us the least issues. That doesn’t mean accessories like water pumps, step motors and backup cameras didn’t have issues, but not because of the build quality. Anyway- that’s my opinion and experience with this 30’ class A. Thank you for your videos
Thank you. Nicely done. I like the way Jen catches the little things that are so amazing. Excellent with calling out the weight importance Mike. I didn't hear the ac, well couldn't hear it over mine. 😂 Rig is a beauty. Thanks again 👋🤩
I love watching your videos because you get a full review from 2 perspectives. My husband cares about the outside and all technology but I like Jen’s perspective because I take care of the inside. lol 😊
You can get step covers, usually made out of outdoor carpet material. Takes some of the clunkiness out of them. I usually spray the joints of the steps with lube spray in spring and that is it for the remainder of the season.
Thank you for great review! Have had 3 Winnebago in around 25 years of RVING/camping . First being a Mini Winnie 29ft second a Sightseer 31ft and now we have a 34.9 ft. ( we call it a 35ft!)
We’ve had 8 motorhomes in 38 years. We are on our second Winnebago. Now driving a 2022 Vista 29V. Absolutely love it . Three years and 40,000 miles on her. Excellent quality build.
We have an older Winnebago and we like the steps. I would like to test drive the Vista. I agree with the interior color. I like lighter better but in the NPS parks dark is probably better? I also like a flat flooring throughout the coach. A good choice. 👍
great review. Lots of storage but the unit allows limited weight so the two don't seem to match??? What type of refrigerator was it residential? thanks for the great review. Looking forward to your upcoming Class C series be sure to talk about the weight capacity like you did on the Winnebago class A 👍
That thing between the driver seat and passenger seat is ironically called the doghouse.poor Bo I don’t like them either, I drove a school bus and had to crawl over them if the bus was a flat nose bus . Love this Winnebago! And the mountain design on the exterior.
I have a similar 2018 Winnebago Sunstar. The general layout looked the same. You missed the tons of storage under the bed and pass through storage in the first big bay outside. I don't like the doghouse either, need some cabinet like shelf that sits higher to make it more usable. I have not had any issues with weight and a full load, checked on scales. I was really interested in seeing your review, thanks. Bottom line - we love ours.
Hello Mike and Jennifer I love watching your TH-cam channel my family and I love camping. One reason I like camping is everywhere I go. I seem to make a good friend and I love meeting people and making friends. I have one quick question are you guys buying that camper or are you just test driving? Be safe and keep up the good work bye-bye.
Hello. I love everything about this RV. The only thing that scares me is the CCC/OCCC. It's about 1400 lbs. If you don’t mind me asking, how much gear, food, etc., do you carry, let's say for a week. I'm not going to ask for your weight...lol. thank you.
Really helpful, thanks. We have a 1999 Class C Winnebago (Minnie Winnie) and have enjoyed many of the little Winnebago touches that you mentioned, of course quite updated from 1999, and the Class A is very nice. The one thing you didn't address is what you can and can't get at when the slide is in; in our current Winnebago, nothing is inaccessible when the slide is in. I'm guessing that you could get into many of the closets and drawers in the bedroom without opening the slide, but am wondering about kitchen and bathroom access too. If you're in a Walmart, do you have to open the slide for the night? If we get serious about a Class A, we'll look into this. Thanks for the review!
Not to bad, We are still looking at the Fleetwood Bounder 33C. I noticed when you were talking about the milage and hit the bump in the road, the tv just over the top of your head turned on. Thought that was strange.
That WAS strange... just noticed it when I went back to look. It indeed did come on. That was quite the bump. Maybe the remote was face down, and the pump caused it to jump and turn on??? Weird!
The 5.4 triton is disliked by a lot of people. The timing chain covers and phasers grenade. I have a 2011. Low mileage and I don't drive it often, so it stays nice. Change the oil often and it should last.
Very nice review and very nice Rv also. But that low cargo capacity may be deal breaker for me, especially with the fresh water tank counts against it.
Folding stairs enable more ground clearance.... which that THOR is in desperate need of. Winnebago removed the V10's and the weight loss on the chassis is noticeable. Keeping mine
I prefer sliding windows because we were raised with roll out windows with the turn crank and after a year or two they jam and quit working. I'm close to your age so you may know what I am talking about. I don't hear the AC.. I guess they forget most RV people are older and a small screen is hard to see when you are driving. I wouldn't want the outdoor kitchen so I would want it to be storage.
My dislikes are the raised bed due to the outside kitchen that I would not use, I would delete it if possible. I also don't need a king size bed, a queen bed is big enough, that is what my wife and I have in our home. Replacing the king bed for a queen bed would allow for wider closets on each side of the bed along with a bigger walk around. I also agree with Mike on the outside TV, along with the bedroom TV is a waste of money, and would delete them as well, along with an outside auto leveling control is needed. I would also like to see better quality slide arms. All these deletions would add to the payload amount. Winnebago I hope you're listening.
They never showed enough of the fridge to be sure, but I think I caught a glimpse of a vent on the driver side, but not enough to see if it was the usual absorption fridge vent or just a small access or heat vent. The upper back inside of the fridge would have the metal plates if it was absorption, but that was never shown in the video. Hopefully, it was a 12V or a compressor. Update: In another video (summary video), the driver side is shown and the "vent" is for the Truma. So, I think the fridge is not an absorption fridge - Yay.
@@JudyPRys Sounds like an absorption fridge. Be glad that it dates prior to about 2000, although earlier models also had fire reputations perhaps not reported as much as in later years. Post-2000 models certainly became known for fires when the coils leaked onto the wiring (not a propane issue). IMO, this is probably about the time China coil casting/manufacturing came into play more prominently. My 2004 Country Coach's four-door Norcold totaled our coach in 2011. The coach's ceiling turned into a broiler within three minutes. Convenience over life? Not for me.
On the basement storage doors, there were what appeared to be electrical contacts - small dots on the upper edge. Does this rig have central locking/unlocking for the basement doors?
Out of all the three I have the Winnebago at one and the Coachman second. The storage has me but the Coachman is not far behind. The Thor is way behind my top two.
Unless you are packing down pillows into those storage areas, you'll never be able to fill them. The problem with that model is the CCC is not matched with the storage and passenger limit. That would be a great way to live and tour the country but they need to cut down on the weight. I like the design team's choices on the interior and exterior.
Nice rig. 600# of water. We never travel with more than 25% water in the fresh water tanks, usually empty. I'm fine with the steel wheels. Not sure why more manufacturers don't do this. They are cheaper and stronger. No more cracked rims and broken spokes. Ford Godzilla is a great engine.
Prewiring for satellites 🤨 Anyhow, I heard a lot of people have issues maintaining the Ford chassis and that Ford dealerships are not willing to service Class A RVs - even when it’s under warranty - can you research how bad the situation is? Thank you 🙏
The cargo capacity is nearly always a problem on small motor homes, especially the B vans! Thats why most of the time they gloss over it or don’t mention it at all!
I’m not a fan of outdoor and televisions. I also do not like the small navigation screen. This coach needs a digital rear view mirror for the back up camera.
Don't get me wrong the paint and lipstick are nice, but over priced for a 30ft small galley rig. in my opinion there are better options in this price range.
This is not really comparing apples to apples. This Winnebago is a special edition with a lot more bells and whistles than the Thor Axis. It is also longer. Not a fair comparison.

I'm not convinced those massive full wall slides aren't going to be a problem. Looks like a Schwintek. But other than that, I like it a lot.
I’m surprised they use Schwintek for a full wall slide.
I looked at one on the lot and I believe it is a Lippert Slim-Rack system, not Schwintek.
Very impressed with the Vista! We have a Winnebago TT and love it. Would absolutely consider this if stepping up to a motor home.
Thanks for encouraging me with this video !!!
Praise God!!!
i love this couple. i love the reviews

some good points! We wouldn't need the outside TV, the bedroom TV, the outside kitchen.... and probably not that lowering bed either.
@@davidhusik5560 I was thinking the same thing about the mattress but you may have to trim the plywood that the mattress sits on also.
Love your reviews
Thank you!
I would like to have seen a walk through to the bedroom with the slide in. Of course I could have missed it!
The bed was usable with the slide in and there was plenty of room to go through. It can be seen in the beginning. Only the driver side is on a slide.
is it a residential refrigerador?? Thanks for the great review ❤

On the basement storage doors, there were what appeared to be electrical contacts - small dots on the upper edge. Does this rig have central locking/unlocking for the basement doors?
The first thing I saw on a Winnebago that concerned me was the slide arms were like half the size of others? How are the slide quality on this?
We had a 2020 vista big gas guzzler. I spent 4000 $ putting sway control bars on it and semis still blew it around
Water and fuel also have to be added into the CCC. Maybe the four people can walk...
Out of all the three I have the Winnebago at one and the Coachman second. The storage has me but the Coachman is not far behind. The Thor is way behind my top two.
In your clas C series I'd love to see some WITHOUT slides thanks!
Check the next review on the Euro.

That would be a great way to live and tour the country but they need to cut down on the weight. I like the design team's choices on the interior and exterior.
Price?
Can it be used completely with slide in?
We can use ours, get to dinette, bathroom and fridge. But the bed hits the wardrobe, so you have to crawl into bed on the far side.
Can you please tell me the name of the song that is playinging the background. I can not get that song out of my head.😮
Can’t hear the ac’s. I like how warm and upscale it Is.
Didn’t pass the Bo test, very noisy especially driving on rough roads. My poodle Teddy would have reacted the same.

was the price of this RV mentioned?
I have never owned a class a RV, is it normal for a brand new RV to creak and crash over RR tracks?
The cargo capacity is nearly always a problem on small motor homes, especially the B vans! Thats why most of the time they gloss over it or don’t mention it at all!
Oh right, I didn't really like the tiny screen and also the tiny mirrors. Thanks ✌️😁
The flashing lights on the Colin would drive me insane why is it flashing like that
It's a camera aberration... they really weren't flashing.
Mike .. why the negative comment on the tires. "American tires.. No China B....." Not necessary.
I’m not a fan of outdoor and televisions. I also do not like the small navigation screen. This coach needs a digital rear view mirror for the back up camera.
What did he run over , it was a big killer bump in the first 5 minute drive .
Michigan roads are the worst!
California is terrible too.
Don't get me wrong the paint and lipstick are nice, but over priced for a 30ft small galley rig. in my opinion there are better options in this price range.
If you only used it at campgrounds where you can fill up your water, that capacity might be OK. Otherwise, no way is that sufficient.
This is not really comparing apples to apples. This Winnebago is a special edition with a lot more bells and whistles than the Thor Axis. It is also longer. Not a fair comparison.
The three units were not picked to review because they were similar. The only criterion was that they be considered a small class A.
@@amydelpiere9315 Got it. Thank you.
Everything about it says BIG rig, EXCEPT the Weight Limit. Something wrong there. 😮
That’s very interesting. You can pull 7500 pounds but you can only put 1300 lbs in it. that’s weird
Bo is not thrilled with the ride.
Would have been perfect if they would have "wrapped" that back splash around the wall on the left to protect the storage closet wall.
CCC of only 1321 pounds??? 😂
What the heck is rattling I would never put up with that noise and ride that one would be a no for me
