    Marcus Garvey words come to pass. This was his message to all blacks in the west to return to the motherland. He was so serious he went and arranged the for the black star liner ships to take us back to Africa, but he was sabotaged. Bob Marley ran with the message in music plus the Jamaican Rastafarian movement. From the age of four I was taught by my grandparents to return to Africa. I am kind of established in Kenya now. When I arrive in Kenya the first time I immediately connected. Kenyans are some of the nicest people you will meet and very welcoming. The perfect country. Shout out to this video. Making my final move to Kenya this year. Auston Holleman you are right about the gender war in the west established by the feminist movement. We men are endangered.

    As an African American living in the U.S., I can co-sign everything Kevin said. And, I experienced that same language issue in Burkina Faso and I too refused to learn another colonizers’ language.
    I also terminated my land purchase in The Gambia due to their under developed health care system and the overwhelming presence of others and how they were exploiting children, men and women because of the lack of employment and low wages.
    And now, after extensive research, I’m happily preparing for my move to Kenya in 2025!

They know what their experiences are back home and Kenya more than checks all the boxes. I feel the same way. Ease of language, cosmopolitan lifestyle, having coffee or breakfast at Java House or grabbing chicken or Pizza at Chicken Inn or shopping in Naivas or any of the multiple well stocked and beautiful malls there…it’s a diaspora man’s heaven for a reasonable cost. Hey Auston from your content - your officially a Kenyan . Welcome home. From this we rename you Tajiri - meaning who who has achieved success or is wealthy in Swahili - where your heading your getting there. Yes Kenya has it ups and downs but for the most part you can keep ahead with the power of the dollar converted into the Kenyan Shillings. We wish your African American knew this gem - Nairobi and the wealth of opportunities especially in real estate and the education system for kids. As a Kenyan who has lived in NYC you get the same living at a fraction of the price. Or explore other parts of Nairobi and get more of a suburban feel. Keep up the great work - we are proud of you!

      If your retirement is at least $3500+ monthly you can move to Kenya and live comfortably with no problems. Buy good kenya health insurance and enjoy your life. Jump on plane and fly to different kenyan cities which are all 1 hour or less flights ✈️. I've been to mombasa, Diani Beach and Nairobi. You catch Uber from mombasa to Diani Beach ⛱️. Do youtube search for Diani Beach. You can get nice apartment with 24 hour security for $600 monthly. I wish to move to Kenya one day 🇰🇪

    • @The-Man-Right-Chea
      @The-Man-Right-Chea 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      But to be honest you can live in Kenya if you want to live modest and comfortably if your getting $2500 monthly every month. $600 nice apartment and utilities, food, health insurance cost maybe $700 monthly. $1000 leftover to do whatever activities. Train 🚆 rides in between mombasa and Nairobi are $40. So you can actually live comfortably in Kenya if you're receiving at least $2500 monthly since school teachers I know in Kenya only make around $400usd monthly. So $2500 monthly you can live comfortably 🇰🇪

      Let’s keep it 100. This country has been using our funds to fund other nations and their cronies. Meanwhile, they are trying to kill us with all the poison in the food that other countries don’t have. Plus, they recently raised it as to when you can get SS. The USA has been programming us that many thing it’s sooooo great and it’s heaven.
      Every nation has their pros and cons. My issue with the USA is they are quick to tell you how bad this or that country is or communism there. They are doing communist acts here to me. The worst if it all you get more recognition for praising someone who is LGBTQ than a masculine and heterosexual man. I’m not saying those in the LGBTQ should not be recognized but they keep showing that agenda down our throat especially through our kids. No parent should have to hear about their 5-8 year saw a presentation from a trans, etc. Then you have boys coming home and telling their mom and dad it’s okay for him to like a boy.

The lease agreement will include things like service charges, and the percentage increase in rent (usually done every 2 years). Property values do increase every year like any other part of the world. From a Kenyan perspective, though, buying land and building a house is way cheaper than buying a built house by far.

    Incorrect Austin they have not raised the SSA retirement age.😂 for most of us it’s 67 for full benefits. You can file at 62 but you will take a huge pay cut. You don’t need $10m to retire in the states. If you have a paid off house you can do it on $2,500 a month. Of course you need to have a house paid off and 0 car payment. We have millions of our people retired in the southern states on a small income. It’s doable if one plans and budgets. Now if you want to really live and not just survive and you don’t own a home then yes I agree moving to a different country would be a better choice.

    I am a 40 something year old African Kenyan man living in Nairobi, Kenya and i think its high time people from the west of African descent start visiting the continent and esp Americans. In my wanderings, i have found Americans of all hues to be the most blissfully ignorant westerners, period.They should however come in peace and understand that the people you find there have language, history and culture. Dividing us into English/French/Portuguese speaking does not help you at all experience Africa and Africans.. If you decide that you only want to visit countries that were former British colonies(hence the use of English) locks you out of 3/4 of the continent. You will only be able to speak about that specific country only if you take that route. And also, don't go to the capital or big cities and think that's all there is to it. There is far much more to kenya than Nairobi and Mombasa. I am in my 40s and now spend my time learning French and next year i start Portuguese. I want to unlock Angola, Mozambique, Senegal, DRC, Congo rep, Cameroon and my fav African country la Cote D'Ivoire. Please people reject the nonsensical anglophone and francophone tags, most people in those countries dont dream in french or english but in their native african languages.

      I agree. However, this discussion is more about retiring/living in Kenya, and less about visiting African countries as a whole. Most people feel more comfortable living in a place where they can understand others and be understood. Sure they can always learn the local language but that requires time and commitment. Not everyone has the time or wants to commit to learning another language which they will probably never truly master. I believe that most people would want the easiest transition possible when contemplating relocating another country. It is much easier to assimilate into a country where they speak your own language.

    You hit all the key points about America and the importance of removing a man from the equation. This is why so many real black women and men love this country. Our principles are not demolished in Africa, like America, to keep us from becoming successful. I live in SE Washington, DC, and the other day, as a guy who dresses casually boss, I would say Kenneth Cole slash afro-centric. As I walked toward her, the young African girl started warning her mom that an older black man was walking toward them and hide her phone. Mom looked up, and the girl was puzzled. She thought all black men were terrible. Mom looked up the ultra iPhone watch, and the iPhone in hand dressed nicely, which was not an issue with the mom. So the young woman took it upon herself to shield her mom's phone: I love this America. Amazing! You are not in any way stopping me from building my neighborhood, creating jobs, living in Africa, and coming back to America to check up on all the people of color I have working for myself in a healthy environment. It's a long road, but I love everything about being a solid black man. This is fun, and they have no idea I'm enjoying this. I love this journey.

    Very interesting interview. I am a Kenyan American lived in the U.S for about 35 years. While in the U.S i did a lot of different things as a businessman. Unfortunately my mind was always back home in Kenya after a few years where i thought my business would have grown much faster than being in the U.S.A
    I have since relocated back in Nairobi and i couldn't been much happier. I wish i did not waste a lot of my productive life in America. It is much worse when You're black with an accent. I tried working with banks but my proposals didn't get very far although i lived a good life just because i did not entirely depend on credits offered to me through several banks. However, my investments in Kenya have over the years appreciated so much to appoint i feel compensated for the loss of living in America for that long period of time. Please don't get me wrong as I'm not trying to discourage anybody who would like to go to the United States. America is a great country but it is not for everyone. You have less competition doing business here in Kenya rather than in the United States. Being employed in America is a whole different game from my perspective. I moved to the United States as an investor just to make it clear.
