  • Today we are at PET, Personal Electric Transport in London and testing fully the brand new Vsett 9+ escooter. Apparently, this is the best new commuter scooter available anywhere! Is it any good? Costing £1195.00 it seems like a total bargain and such a capable scooter.......

    Hello, nice video ! Can I use excerpts from the video (without sound) to illustrate what I'm saying in my video?
    This is for a french presentation video. Thank you for your reply. Yours sincerely. 😉

    Hi, great vid! I'm across the pond in Ireland, hoping to buy this scooter next week. I would use it as a daily commute, riding 480km/each month. My last one ( wasn't Vsett ) failed me after the 1st month- errors on dashboard etc. How well do you recon the Vsett 9+ Lite would hold up? Thank you!

    • @SuperMet

      It’s a great machine, it’s also very strong. I think you’ll be fine on it, just keep it maintained and you’ll be flying! Ride safe!! Thanks

    Cool review and probably the only one in conditions that I may ride in from time to time! Awesome! Will u be doing a review on emove cruiser? Any thoughts between the 2 as i am really having a hard time deciding. Cheers!

      Thank you! Maybe yes I just need to get hold of one and London is a nightmare at the moment for police pulling scooters in and fines etc. So stay tuned and loads more to follow. Just laying low for now! Please sub and 👍🏼 ride safe!

    Since turning signals have been invented on cars for ages you'd reckon they'd just let us control however long/short we want them to blink lol. That's the ONLY kink in this scooter's armor I reckon

    • @SuperMet
      @SuperMet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That’s true but I think they had to time the signal as you can’t do self-cancelling on a scooter easily. That’s the theory anyway. One push for on and one for off would have been nice as well. Stay safe.

      @@SuperMet yeah also how are we supposed to change the grips if they're part of the switch?

    • @SuperMet
      @SuperMet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is totally true! There is no way unless someone manufactures aftermarket options but they will be crap! Good point

  • @Jack-ye6fm
    @Jack-ye6fm 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why does the base say VSett9 and not 9+? Did you get the model incorrect or have they changed the base since you used it? As they now say 9+. Was it the LG 21ah model?

    • @SuperMet
      @SuperMet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was a pre- order test machine as we were making changes to the machine before production. But it was a 9+ machine just unbranded. The P settings didn’t operate either. You have a keen eye 👁! Ride safe and please sub/ like 👍🏼

      @@SuperMet Thanks for the clarification! I'm consdering buying the vsett 9+ would you recommend it over kaabo/dualtron models? I like the fact the vsett are waterprood/resistant rated too - do you think they are safe to ride in light rain? Living in North England you have to expect rain at all times!

    • @SuperMet
      @SuperMet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you should try the Vsett 10+. I feel it would be better suited to hills and terrain and give you a better range. The 9+ is brilliant though and to answer your question, yes I think it is far better than the dualtron or Kaabo. Kaabo is having reliability issues and loads of stem recalls. I would not buy one. Dualtron, for me it’s clunky, expensive and just doesn’t feel very nibble compared to the Vsett. The Vsett is good in water and would be fine at night. You will need a new light as the fixed one isn’t much good and is too low. I suggest a usb rechargeable bike led light.
      Plus in winter I would go for hybrid off road tyres, a bit noisier but safer and less prone to slipping. Go Vsett! If you want one let me know and I’ll try to get you a deal from PET as they’re the main importer and I do a lot with them. You may get a bit off the price and they can deliver directly to you. 👍🏼

      @@SuperMet Thanks for the advice and the speedy replies - The 10+ looks amazing but I think for the moment I would go for the 9+ because it is more compact/portable and I'm only 60kg so hoping the power of the 9+ should be okay. Can you buy the off-road tires off the PET website as well? I would be interested in any deals you would be able to do - how do I get in touch?

    How do you get these serviced when the time comes

    • @SuperMet
      @SuperMet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're easy to look after really. Just keep them clean and oiled. The brake pads will need to be serviced every couple of years or more if you ride eachday. The shop you buy from will give a 2 year warranty. I do most of the work myself at home and just check it over each ride. They're simple and easy to maintain though. • @SuperMet
      @SuperMet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They’re conicle inside so the bolts can be screwed in properly or sometimes the deck caps come with new longer bolts to account for the extra depth needed. It’s basically styling for scooter decks! Ride safe and thanks
