This gives me such hope!! We rescued a sweet triplet girl yesterday. She is only a few hours old but has weak, bent back legs and the mom could not feed all three. I am hoping with enough therapy and time this will correct itself. I am already in love with my Gracie!! Thank you for this very encouraging video.

Do you bring the kid inside to bottle feed? Our doeling has a really hard time get up and down, so I have her inside. Initially, she was cold and shivering and pretty lethargic. A few good bottles, and she is much better. I appreciate any help. ps I have splinted puppies. (We breed mastiffs)
Hey mark my doe finally kidded and all was well to start but now I have a kid that will only walk on his front knees. First he couldn’t nurse because he wouldn’t get down but now he’s learned how to nurse and won’t get back up. You had that?

I currently have a goat with severely bowlegged front legs who we splinted for a week. To me he is worse. Wondering if we should continue to splint or cast and what the long term out come is. Too smitten with him now of course.
I’m sorry are you saying he is standing like a frog? If so, just support proper alignment with stretching the joints to proper position slow and steady over a week or so and support with toilet paper rolls and an ace bandage.
Hey.. Sir.. My goat had got into a leg fracture.. And after curing that she can't stand... Seems like she got paralyzed.and then we noticed a thing that, her sacral vertebrae is in a different shape. There was a hump on there. And when we took an xray,posture of vertebral column in completely changed. Vet said that there is no such treatment available for this, but u can do physiotherapy. Sir do you know any kind of treatment like surgeries or anything from ur knowledge? 🥺pls rply sir
Is it too late to fix a 6 month old goats legs that are severely bowl legged (front and back)? Someone I know has a goat like this and says there's nothing that can be done. However, I'm wondering if splints can still be used.
I just had babies born and one of my baby goats back legs is like extending forward like your baby goats front leg.. will that correct out to or does that need vet help.. she was just born today she can’t stand unless we help her. She takes a step her back leg hyper extends forward and bends at an odd angle
It’ll straighten out in a few days. She was all bent up in there. I suggest u use a toilet paper roll and a light vet wrap to straighten it out and let her work it.

Today our goat gave birth to twin kids and one of them has bent hind legs. Thanks for your advice and reassurance not to panic

@PackGoatscom yes a frog 😆 knees on the ground and back legs were weird like half squatting.

What if they don't straighten out after 10 day of life? We have one whose legs go sideways.
